@ratchie

I use James Turner's website when I need to disable a pack.

Candy Handy worked hard at improving her community and selling her wares. She made $146,435, performed 32 upgrades on non-home lots, and 23 upgrades on her home lot.

((32*0.02) + (23 *0.01) + 1) = 1.87
1.87 * 146435 = 273,833 total

I have a question. Are we supposed to remove all money after setting up their house? I am assuming this is the case, but don't want to unintentionally make things harder for myself. I am thinking I definitely want to try this, since I have never participated in an official challenge before.

I feel really dumb having to ask this question now...We are allowed to build their home with starting funds, correct? This isn't a rags to riches challenge from what I read, but I'm worried there may be an unspoken rule that I'm not aware of since I'm new. Oh I feel painfully stupid right now....

Hi Erin -- there are no dumb questions :). You keep all starting money...everyone starts with the same amount so there's no need to remove anything. And it's your choice as to your home -- build or choose an existing home. Good luck and welcome to the forum and challenges.

I think my math is right. All upgrades were on my home lot. I did absolutely terrible but it was fun.

This one was hard to plan but fun :D
My sim ended up with 203,547 $
She made 45 UU outside her household, and 50 inside,so the multiplier is 1+0.9+0.5=2.4
203,547 x 2.4= 488,512.8 $

Was planning to start this challenge today, but I had a burglar yesterday afternoon.  :'(

Origin came into my game, promptly threw me out, leaving my sim in that horrible salmon pink bra and pants and took back my three games that I had bought in a bundle, when the offers were on, University, Strangeville and Moschino. It said they had refunded me for the bundle.  I had not requested a refund. >:(

So as I now have less games etc, my practice is not right and I feel thoroughly and utterly deflated.  I know it is a stupid little thing, but it is the stupid little things that get to you, isn't it, because you can't allow the big things to. Have put it on the technicals, as the adviser said there had been similar cases.

Not sure what to do now though, as I want to play but don't trust the game to play.  :-\

I am confused about this. While you were playing Sims 4 Origin gave you some in-game message and removed expansions you had installed? What explanations were offered?

Thank you for taking the time to reply. No, I did not receive a message.

When I tried to save, it said I no longer owned the packs, so wouldn't save. So had to close and restart, packs had been removed, so I went into my Origin account, it showed that packs had been refunded, no explanation or anything.  I had not asked for a refund, I wanted to carry on playing with the packs I had purchased. Used the online help, they said they were aware of the problem and there were similar cases. When I asked when it would be sorted, they said there was no timescale.

Really confused, probably not explaining very well either. Thank you for your concern.

Very fun!

Home lot upgrades: 0
Non-home lot upgrades: 18
Household funds: 167214

(18 * 0.02) + 1 = 1.36
167214 * 1.36 = 227411
