Chapter 99 - I Believe In Magic

Screenshot-180.jpg

Moira wakes early on Sunday morning and takes a moment to make the bed and watch her husband sleep.

Screenshot-181.jpg

Then she goes up to the rooftop deck, where the cool ocean air arcs softly over the city below. It's a peaceful place, for the moment (Archie has finally collapsed in bed after a long night of drink-mixing). And Moira needs solitude for what she's about to do.

When packing up the house in Riverview, Moira came across a dusty old lamp that had apparently been in the family for years without being touched. Angela was aware of the lamp, being the mad scientist of the family, and Moira, being a Genius, helped her put together their scrappy knowledge. This wasn't just any lamp. It was a magic lamp.

Screenshot-183.jpg

In Moira's scientific research, and in the readings she's done in preparation for her future medical career, she's learned that the science surrounding human birth is foggy at best. Desired outcomes are not always achieved. And there are very few proven methods for securing certain results.

This is one of them. Or so they say.

Screenshot-185.jpg

Glitter and smoke explode out of the lamp, and then there's nothing. It takes a moment for Moira to spot the blue being trotting quickly away from her. She's already INSIDE THE HOUSE! What if the family sees?!

Screenshot-190.jpg

"Hey, excuse me! Miss Genie? I'm over here!"

Screenshot-192.jpg

"Oh, THERE you are! I'm so pleased it's you who summoned me and not the mustachioed old man downstairs! My name is Tara, and I'll be taking care of you today. Now, can I start you off with anything? A wish, perhaps?"

Moira explains.

Screenshot-197.jpg

"Okay, so here's the thing. I'm a scientific researcher, Tara. And I'm going to be a doctor one day. That's all I've ever wanted, to master the study of science and become a top-level doctor. So...I'm not really into magic, or any sort of supernatural stuff. My instincts always tell me to trust science, not--"

Screenshot-200.jpg

"Aren't you descended from a fairy? And isn't your ghostie aunt a famous singer? And wasn't your great-great-great-great-however-many-greats grandfather an alchemist?"
"How do you know all that?!"

Screenshot-198.jpg

"I matched with the Grim Reaper on Simder. We're...friends. Sometimes, he tells me things."

Screenshot-203.jpg

"Oookay. Anyway...yeah, you're right. Even though my family has a lot of history with magic and the supernatural...this is kind of outside my wheelhouse. But--I want a big family, Tara. Most of my time and most of my desires are dedicated to my future career, but--family is also really important to me. I want to have multiple children. But I can't have an endless maternity leave get in the way of my work, and there's no scientific or medical method that guarantees what I'm looking for."

Screenshot-208.jpg

"I see. I think I can help, Miss Loveland."
"Wonderful, thank you! Okay, I wish for a large family in a short amount of time. Using safe, thoroughly tested methods that have been studied in peer-reviewed journals, preferably."

Screenshot-210.jpg

"Wow. Anything else?"
"I think that's it."
"Well, my methods aren't exactly "peer-reviewed" or 'thoroughly tested', but they are a bit of a spectacle. I'm going to shoot lasers from my eyes now, okay?"
"W-What?"

Screenshot-214.jpg

*FWSHOOM*
"Gyahh!"

Screenshot-221.jpg

"Um...Tara? Why do I feel so light and...and...is it possible to feel sparkly? I've never read anything in my research that--"
"I'd say it's possible, since it's happening right now."
"Tara, I--I think I--

Screenshot-222.jpg

"I BELIEVE IN MAGIC!"

Screenshot-223.jpg

And just like that, it's over. The genie vanishes without so much as a sassy quip and Moira is left feeling sparkly, and nothing more.

Screenshot-226.jpg

She hurries downstairs to find Lydell.

Screenshot-229.jpg

"Babe. You will never guess who I just talked to upstairs."
"Your mother? The rest of us are down here. Unless you're talking about Nibs. I think he might be playing in the bathtub up there again."

At this point, Moira is overcome with hunger, so she pauses this highly romantic moment to grab some breakfast.

Screenshot-234.jpg

"Moira, you look different this morning. You look a bit...sparkly. Are you sparkly?"
"No, Dad. Your vision's just going weird in your old age."
"Oh. Is that the scientific term for it? 'Going weird'?"
"Yes."

Screenshot-235.jpg

Breakfast eaten, Moira takes her husband up to the bedroom and explains everything.

Screenshot-239.jpg

"So you made a wish on a magical blue lady and now we're guaranteed to have triplets?"
"Pretty much."
"Awesome."

Screenshot-242.jpg

Later that night, Moira starts feeling squeamish while tending the garden.

Screenshot-245.jpg

And the next day, her research is interrupted by a new discovery.

Screenshot-250.jpg

"Lydell, it's happening! We're going to have some babies!"
"The ambiguity of that statement makes me nervous, but otherwise I am SO EXCITED!"

Screenshot-254.jpg

Lydell: "Let me know if I can get you anything, darling. Any craving, a massage--just let me know, okay?"
Moira: *NOM NOM NOM*

OOh, not just one baby, at least two, maybe three---it just keeps getting better and better!

But I'm surprised that Moira, being a student of science and a doctor didn't go with the much more tried and true method of fertility treatments for herself and her husband!

Though it's nice that she believes in magic finally, with her family history having fairies and ghosts.

I've got it, those are supernatural things, not magical!

The thing is that I've never gotten triplets before with other methods. I know it's possible, but I've just never gotten lucky, and I really wanted triplets this time around. At least with a genie it's pretty much guaranteed (I think). I figured Moira might be open to trying a magical method knowing that "scientific" methods don't always work. That was my logic, anyway. And she did grow up with supernaturals around, so she's not totally anti-magic. Now she just believes in its effectiveness. Maybe it will inform her work as a doctor in the future. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing...

Chapter 100 - Good Things Come In Three Packages

Screenshot-271.jpg

Can you believe this is the 100th chapter of the Loveland Random Town Jump? It's crazy! To celebrate the fact that this game is the only thing keeping me sane in this apocalyptic hellscape and therefore I do nothing else in my spare time we've come so far in the story, here's Nibs playing in the bathtub.

Screenshot-4.jpg

Moira's pregnancy goes by fairly quickly. She continues to toil away at the science skill using the slowest method possible, because at this point I still haven't thought to use skill books. Lydell attacks the chin-up bar with fervor and tries very hard not to hate exercise.

Screenshot-259.jpg

Archie visits Killian and Valencia to check in on their little family. Valencia has given birth to a girl named Melodie, and Killian is moving up in the science career.

Screenshot-267.jpg

While Archie's there, Melodie happens to have her first birthday. Here she is as a toddler. She's a little cutie, ain't she? Look at that nose!

Screenshot-8.jpg

Angela becomes Archie's guinea pig as he works on creating new drinks. You know you really love someone when you're willing to vomit up their cocktail creations over and over again just so they can practice.

Screenshot-13.jpg

Although she's been working her butt off on learning science, I try to let Moira have some down time during her pregnancy. She cooks easy things like fruit parfaits, takes naps, and reads plenty of books.

Screenshot-18.jpg

And she spends time with the cats, of course.

Screenshot-20.jpg

She's chilling on the sofa near the fireplace when the contractions hit. At first, Moira is the opposite of concerned.

Screenshot-27.jpg

Then the pain starts, just as Lydell arrives and offers his sympathetic panic (not pictured).

Screenshot-33.jpg

The sparkles finally hit a few hours later and Moira is so excited!

Screenshot-34.jpg

Ida Loveland arrives, and her departure from Moira's belly hardly makes a dent in that baby bump. I wonder why that is?

Screenshot-39.jpg

Moira calmly places Ida in the newly-renovated nursery, then promptly goes back into labor.

Angela: "Is that my granddaughter? How sweet. Let me know if you need anything, won't you, dear?"
Moira: "RRRRRRGGHH!"

Screenshot-41.jpg

It's another girl! This is Josie.

Screenshot-46.jpg

And just after Josie gets placed into her crib, a third girl named Keira makes her entrance. We got triplets, everyone! We! Got! Triplets!

Screenshot-48.jpg

Lydell hurries in to meet his new daughters. (Moira didn't wish for a particular gender, but Lydell wanted a girl. So he is triply thrilled right now.)

Screenshot-53.jpg

The new parents are so overcome with joy that they absolutely MUST smack lips right there in the nursery, surrounded by their three sleeping beauties.

Screenshot-76.jpg

Unfortunately, the peace and happiness don't last long. Upstairs, Archie is about to give Angela a post-work cocktail when it happens.

Screenshot-82.jpg

Personally, I'm a bit disappointed that Angela is dying in her mad scientist outfit. Yes, it's awesome, but this means we don't get to see those big beautiful brown eyes one last time. :(

Screenshot-88.jpg

At 94 days old, Angela is forcefully swept into the afterlife. Oh, sweet Angela, I'm so glad you got to meet your granddaughters, but if only you could have waited just a few more days--wait, what's that vicious hissing sound?

Screenshot-93.jpg

It's Boba!

Screenshot-97.jpg

Boba harrasses Grim until he returns Angela to earth. This whole pet-resurrecting-their-owner thing has annoyed me in the past, but for once, I welcome it this time. (In fact, I was kind of secretly hoping for it.) We could really use both grandparents around to help raise the girls. And besides...I'm a little attached to Angela.

Screenshot-99.jpg

Welcome back, Angela. :) (Archie is still unconscious from seeing the Grim Reaper.)

Screenshot-103.jpg

"Now, who's a good kitty? That's right, Boba. YOU are."

Screenshot-107.jpg

"Archie? I'm back, sweetheart, don't you want to--"
"No! Please! I'm just having...hallucinations...I can't...reaper...I'm gonna......."

Yep, he passes out again before he even sees his resurrected wife. I really just want to put Archie in therapy at this point.

Well, it's been a heck of a hundredth chapter. We saw the birth of triplets, the death of Angela, and the return-to-life of Angela. I'd say that's about perfect.

Thank you so very much to those of you who have been keeping up with this story all the way through 100 chapters. Now, onward!

Congrats on three pink bundles! Ida, Josie, and Keira are beautiful names! What have you been using to inspire your name choices?

And Boba gets a big congrats too for being such a good kitty and bringing Angela back to spend some more time with her new granddaughters. :)
(Though when that happened in my Farmacy, my Brooke only got one day! :( )

Aww Archie, what can I say? No amount of therapy will ever make you happy with ghosts, grim, or even the dark. My Sam feels your pain.

Thank you, deedee! I haven't really been using a naming theme; I have a list of names I like, and I've mostly been choosing from that. Bonus points if they're a little old-fashioned (i.e. Georgiana, Gilbert, Archie, etc.). For the triplets I named them in alphabetical order to help me remember their birth order.

Boba is the goodest kitty. :) And as much as I love Archie, I have to say, his death will be something of a relief when it comes, for him and for me. Watching him pass out from fear for his entire life has been quite distressing.

Chapter 101 - Seeing Red

The first few days of Triplet Life (TM) are surprisingly manageable. I usually hate the infant stage, but with three infants, there's just enough action to keep time passing quickly. The four adults in the household take turns caring for the babies and the infant stage passes without a hitch. Bring on the terrible toddler years!

Screenshot-120.jpg

Our first triple birthday happens just minutes after midnight, because I am so impatient to see what the girls look like.

Screenshot-124.jpg

We have a redhead! And this is where I got so excited and impatient that I failed to take screenshots of each girl aging up.

Screenshot-126.jpg

Also, the birthdays take the whole night, so that it's broad daylight by the time we get to Keira's cake. (Thank goodness the house came with such a long dining table. It's like it knew!)

Okay, are you ready to see the triplets? I don't think you are.

Guess what, y'all. We have three redheads. THREE. REDHEADS. I honestly expected some variety here, but all three girls inherited Moira and Angela's beautiful red hair! That makes this the third generation in a row (four, if you count Angela's mother Lola Lancaster back in Lucky Palms).

Screenshot-129.jpg

Ida, the firstborn, has Moira's brown eyes and definitely something of Lydell's, well, everything else. I hope she grows well into that jawbone. Ida is Brave and Disciplined, and she likes Egyptian music, Key Lime Pie, and the color yellow.

Screenshot-132.jpg

Josie, the middle child, looks the most like the maternal side of the family, except for those stunning violet eyes, which have to be a mutation. Josie is a Loner and a Virtuoso, and she likes Roots music, Firecracker Shrimp, and the color black.

Screenshot-133.jpg

Keira, the youngest, looks almost identical to her big sister Ida. I think her skin tone is sliiightly darker, and she might have even more of a McDermott jaw than Ida. Other than that, the two are really hard to tell apart. Thank goodness for color coded outfits! Keira is Absent-Minded and Eccentric, and she likes Chinese music, PB&J, and the color lime.

My favorite thing about these triplets? They already have distinctive personalities. Of course, they'll get three more traits each, so things could change drastically, but in my mind, they've already got roles and aesthetics and everything. Ida is the typical firstborn, bold, outgoing, sporty, put-together. Josie is the reclusive middle child, the moody musician who likes to wear black. And Keira is, well, a little bit off her rocker, a brilliant inventor and possible space cadet. :) I just love that they're such distinctive people already. I can't wait to see what kind of women they grow up to be.

Screenshot-141.jpg

Anyway! Potty training starts immediately, and I mean immediately, and already Keira is having a hard time. (I think she's the fussy one in the family.)

Screenshot-145.jpg

Since everybody has a day off today (that worked out well), everybody works together to get these girls started on their learnin'.

Screenshot-153.jpg

As for the mother of the three, she escapes to the library for some well-deserved peace and quiet. There, she reads her last science skill book and skyrockets to level 10 in a matter of minutes. *sigh* Why I didn't have her do this a long time ago, I don't know.

Screenshot-156.jpg

And you know what this means? Moira can finally get a job in the medical career! She's so excited that she does the school cheer on her way out to the parking lot.

When she arrives home, Moira walks into something of a mess. Just, you know, a little tiny bit.

Screenshot-160.jpg

"Why are there bowls of baby food...EVERYWHERE?"

Screenshot-184.jpg

Something is seriously glitched here. For the first couple days of the girls' toddlerhood, the adults of the household will. not. stop. making. baby. food. I don't know what it is, but somehow, because there are three new high chairs on the loose in the kitchen, suddenly everybody has an insatiable urge to throw the family leftovers into the food processor and turn them all to mush. And carry them over to the high chairs. And stand there looking confused. And then turn around and set the bowl down on any available surface. And repeat. Forever.

I let this go on for a few days because it amuses me, but eventually, I have to delete the high chairs. (This is when I discover the possible cause. One of the high chairs can't be deleted because it's "in use by Josie Loveland", even though Josie hasn't sat there since day one. I have to delete that high chair with cheats. The poor thing thought it was holding a toddler this whole time!)

Screenshot-162.jpg

Anyway, back to the night Moira comes home from the library. Since Moira's been driving the Motive Mobile everywhere, she's got plenty of juice left to start teaching Ida to talk.

Screenshot-180.jpg

The triplets start to get into a little bit of a routine, slowly but surely. Josie and Keira's needs are fairly synced up from the start, so they're often awake and playing together at the same time.

Screenshot-187.jpg

Ida somehow ends up on an opposite sleep schedule. This does mean that she gets more quality time with Granny Angela. (Grangela?)

Moira applies for a job at the hospital. Time for all those hours spent learning the science skill to pay off!

Screenshot-197.jpg

LOL. Just kidding. Moira gets hired as a Bed Pan Cleaner. You know what level that is? It's level 2. LEVEL. TWO. Moira spent two straight weeks of her life studying science, hardly sleeping, hardly doing anything else, and this is partly my own fault and partly due to the skill being broken, but EVEN SO, after all that work, she gets bumped up to level two. That means that she is ahead by approximately one full day of work. Nope. Never doing this again. No thank you. Not worth it.

Screenshot-199.jpg

Back home, Archie and Angela are cleaning up the last of the baby food bowls scattered all over the kitchen when Angela decides she's had enough of chores and makes use of an escape route.

Screenshot-203.jpg

Oh, Archie :( He just got her back, and now he has to say goodbye a second time.

Screenshot-205.jpg

"Ah, you again. No cat to save you this time, eh?"
"Oh, Boba's here. But I'm ready to go this time. I've seen my granddaughters grow into toddlers. I'm satisfied."

Screenshot-207.jpg

Sure enough, both Nibs and Boba come trotting in, but they simply mourn this time. Goodbye, my sweet Angela. We'll miss your enthusiasm for life and your scientific brilliance. Thanks for sticking around a little longer. Rest in peace.

Screenshot-210.jpg

Grim sticks around just long enough to show the maid a disgusting video that makes her vomit on the kitchen floor.

Screenshot-218.jpg

Then she starts flirting with him. And like...I ship it.

I must be truly loosing what little of my mind is left as this chapter's title, "Seeing Red", didn't click in until Ida aged up and had red hair! Then I was like, seriously? It took you that long to figure it out! Yes, unfortunately I talk to my self too, sometimes out loud, which others find more than disturbing! lol

Anyway, if either of our town jumps are anything to go by, red hair seems to stick around for quite some time, which suited me just fine. :) In my TJ game it started with my Founders and continued for the next four heirs, as well as spares, then it jumped a gen because I picked a blonde heir for gen 5, it popped back in with gen 6, then I finally got my turquoise-haired heir in gen 7, followed by another one with pink wings for gen 8, who also ends the fairy line for the main home! It was in Roaring Heights, my 9th town, that I had my last red-haired spare child. A long run for sure! :)

I know diversity is the name of the game for TJ challenges, but I was thrilled that the red-hair and fairies continued for so long.

I'm hoping you're loving at those feisty little red-heads too and can't wait to see them mature into their looks, especially as teens. :)

RIP again, Angela, so nice that you got to meet your granddaughters. :)

The maid's arched eyebrow, with that come hither look and body language is absolutely perfect!
I just know she's saying, "Hi there Mr. Tall, Dark, and Gruesome! Come here often!"

Haha! I also called the chapter "Seeing Red" because I was so mad about Moira's science skill being useless. So it worked on two levels. :)

I don't mind the red hair sticking around for a while either. For so long it was Gracie's blonde hair or Benjamin's brown--it's nice to have something different. I do hope to get more diversity into the family this generation. Starlight Shores has some very interesting Sims, so I'm optimistic.

That is totally what the maid is saying. You nailed it. :D

Chapter 102 - Toddler Parade

Screenshot-233.jpg

With three toddlers in the house, lots of toddler skilling needs to happen. Three basic skills times three is nine. Thank goodness Moira is Family-Oriented and can get through training faster.

Screenshot-250.jpg

She can't possibly do all the training, though. Lydell squeezes in time with his daughters when he can.

Screenshot-251.jpg

Some of Moira's training sessions happen at odd hours when she comes home from work. I think Josie missed her while she was gone. :)

Screenshot-229.jpg

Archie is devastated after the loss of Angela. He goes straight back to mixology to keep himself occupied. His next drink, of course, is called the Angela. I wonder what its ingredients are? Hopefully not angelfish.

Screenshot-238.jpg

Thankfully, there's something else to distract Archie from his sorrow. Specifically three somethings. And now that Moira and Lydell are both back at work, Archie is the official family babysitter! Congrats, Archie!

Screenshot-242.jpg

Although he has a tendency to take naps in the rocking chair every chance he gets...Archie is a pretty good grandfather.

Screenshot-245.jpg

And the first time he sees the ghost of Angela, he actually glitches out, such that he doesn't even faint! He just lets out some fresh sobs and gazes longingly at her through the nursery walls.

Screenshot-270.jpg

As time goes on, Archie cheers up again. I even catch him playing chase with Nibs in the front yard. So cute!

Screenshot-275.jpg

But it isn't long before Archie's time comes. Just after voluntarily emptying the stinky potty, no less.

Screenshot-279.jpg

"Yay, I'm finally getting out of this hellscape!"

He really does seem ready to go.

Screenshot-283.jpg

Archie begs for more time, but somehow I think he doesn't really mean it. He's lost without his Angela. Grim whisks him away, and at last, Archie is safe in the afterlife. (Not that I have any idea what that's like.) RIP, sweet scared Archie.

Screenshot-257.jpg

Lydell and Moira are now the sole adults in the household. And adults they truly are.

Screenshot-287.jpg

Screenshot-288.jpg

Lydell is actually flying through his career--he's already at level 8. He recently changed his Lifetime Wish to International Super Spy, which he will achieve in a jiffy. He's even taken to exercise, kind of. He has zero fun while he's doing it, but at least he LOOKS like he's enjoying it.

Screenshot-289.jpg

Moira works her way up through the lower levels of the medical career. I'm still mad about how little the science skill helped her. Moira makes it to resident within her first week, though, largely thanks to the Multitasker reward.

Screenshot-295.jpg

As for our three little girls...they're doing wonderfully. :D All three of them can walk now, and when they're all together, they form the sweetest little toddler parade.

Screenshot-313.jpg

It's actually really rare that the three girls are all together, though. Keira and Josie have similar sleep schedules and have become friends already via the dollhouse.

Screenshot-321.jpg

Ida is on her own schedule, which means she hardly knows her sisters at all. :(

Screenshot-302.jpg

But once--seriously, once--they're all awake at the same time, while the parents are at work. I harness the opportunity to get them all around the blocks table. Because HOW CUTE.

Screenshot-304.jpg

Yep, things are pretty darn adorable around here these days. Even the babysitter knows how to pose with a book.

Screenshot-311.jpg

Full disclosure: raising three toddlers is a challenge, for sure. But it's also strangely fun. It helps to completely disregard everything else going on in the game and just focus on keeping their needs full.

Screenshot-333.jpg

All in all, Ida, Josie, and Keira have a lovely toddlerhood. They keep me so busy, though, that their next birthday approaches almost before I'm ready. They're growing up so fast!

Screenshot-329.jpg

One more night in the quiet nursery. And our Guardian Angela is here to keep a lookout.

Chapter 103 - Pool Fishing

Screenshot-335.jpg

It's already the triplets' birthday. There's just going to be an ungodly amount of cake this generation.

ida child sparkle.jpg

Ida goes first.

Screenshot-345.jpg

Then Josie.

josie child sparkle.jpg

Screenshot-352.jpg

Finally, Keira.

keira child sparkle.jpg

Okay, remember how I was so excited about the girls' traits and how distinctive their personalities are? Well...guess what. WE'RE ON A ROLL HERE, BABY.

Screenshot-358.jpg

Ida continues to develop into the high-achieving firstborn. She's now a Perfectionist like her mom, in addition to being Brave and Disciplined.

Screenshot-360.jpg

Josie, who's already an artsy introvert as a Loner and a Virtuoso, becomes an Animal Lover. My heart!

Screenshot-362.jpg

Keira, being Absent-Minded and Eccentric, can only become geekier as time goes on, apparently. She's now a Bookworm as well. I swear I didn't pick these traits, y'all.

Now that the girls are old enough to start, y'know, doing things, some birthday gifts are in order.

Screenshot-2.jpg

Keira is REALLY psyched about her new workbench. Too bad she can't use it until she's a teenager. I don't know why I thought she'd be able to use a blowtorch and hammer as a child.

Screenshot-5.jpg

Josie can safely paint her days away in the old nursery, though. Since she can't play music yet, the next-best artistic activity will have to do.

And Ida has a wish to learn the fishing skill, so she gets a fishing pole. For some reason she has the ability to fish in pools. Can all kids do that?

Screenshot-8.jpg

"Ida, dear, you realize there aren't any fish in our pool?"
"It's called PRACTICING, Mom."

Screenshot-17.jpg

And as a group gift, the girls get to share two new toy ovens so they can all make perfect-quality cupcakes to store in the fridge. (Lydell thinks this is a brilliant idea.)

Screenshot-16.jpg

Much activity is happening here now that the girls are a little older. Even Archie stops by to see how his granddaughters are doing. Thank goodness he can't faint at the sight of himself.

Screenshot-22.jpg

Since it's the weekend, Moira calls up her other family members and invites them over. We haven't seen Freya since she's been restored to her true ghostly form. She seems to be doing well. The only remaining sign of her glitchiness is the fact that she has a permanent frown in her portrait photo.

Screenshot-25.jpg

Killian comes over sporting new adult hair. He makes a beeline for Angela's grave in the back garden. It's almost like he didn't know she was dead :(

Ida, perhaps the most outgoing sibling so far, makes a point of going next door to meet the boy who lives there. (Or rather, I make a point of sending her, once I discover in map view that A BOY LIVES THERE.)

Screenshot-18.jpg

"Hello there, Ronny Kerman-Sagar. My name is Ida Loveland, and I'm here representing myself and my two sisters with the aim of Meeting Potential Spouses. Would you like to come over and play?"
"Would I!"

Screenshot-37.jpg

And come over to play he does. Well, sort of. Ronny actually plunks down in front of the TV with Lydell and proceeds to charm him out of the park with his respectable conversation. (Further research confirms that Ronny is a Couch Potato. He'll have no problem impressing Lydell.)

Screenshot-35.jpg

Another neighborhood girl turns up that day. This is Rita Lack-Whitfield. I find Keira happily pushing her on the swing in the backyard. Aww! I hope these two remain friends in the future.

Screenshot-11.jpg

The pets are doing well as always. Nibs is getting very up there in age--he's well overdue for a visit from Grim. Boba seems rather protective of his old dad, and has been spotted guarding him while Nibs jabs at his food with a graying paw.

Screenshot-43.jpg

Nibs is staying active in his old age, though. Specifically, he's working on his hunting skill. The first critter he successfully captures is an iguana, which he then proceeds to present to the Animal Lover in the family.

Happy birthday, Josie. Love, Nibs

The townie kids look almost normal! And I haven't commented since before the triplets were born but after all your attempts for multiples and girls you finally got there. :')

Children can invent (and die from it! Meanwhile they can't play piano or pick fruit), is there something preventing the bench from being interacted with or a lack of scrap in its inventory?

The girls are staying true their individual selves, which is nice to see. :) I love each of their looks as children and identify with Kiera's Bookworm trait! And her glasses are just adorable!

If you're anything like me, especially with all the girls having red hair, it's at this point I start really thinking about heirship and who my choice is.

Of course, they still have two more birthdays and traits, along with LTW's and partners to pick, but sometimes one stands out clearly as heir above the others.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the triplets turn out and what new adventures await them in the coming chapters!

If I were, you, I would use the Plum Tree App for your family trees. It's made for the Sims 4, but can still be used for the Sims 3. You can also add your sims personality on there.

The triplets thank you for your support :) I was so thrilled to finally get them!

See, I thought kids could invent! But then Keira couldn't interact with the workbench and I was just like *shrug*. She's grown up now in-game (I've played ridiculously far ahead, oops), and she was able to use the bench once she became a teen, so I don't know what the problem was. It very well could have been the scrap. I went ahead and bought some once she aged up and didn't think twice about it.

I'm glad you like the girls so far! They're all young adults now and they continue to develop some really fun personalities. :) I was definitely deliberating about heirship at this point. It was so fun getting to see them all develop simultaneously, so that age had nothing to do with it--I just got to weigh them all equally based on who they are as people. (I try not to let age determine the heir in general, but sometimes my eagerness to move to the next town sways me. Incidentally, every heir thus far has been the firstborn...incidentally.)

Thank you so much for this suggestion! I just spent almost an hour fiddling around in The Plum Tree...so I guess it's pretty good. :) I've been wishing I had a way to add pictures and stuff to the Loveland family tree, and now I can! It might take me a while to get all the details inputted, but I'll add the link as soon as it's ready.
