Hope everyone is safe, healthy and happy.

Love playing these challenges. Always do a practice, sometimes get caught up in everyday life and fail to complete on time. Today, in the current circumstances, I am in the position to post a score.

It is not a great one, but hope it will inspire those who, for whatever reason, are unlikely to emulate the scores at the top.  They are amazing. Well done to you all.  I do not have, personal choice, all the packs, however even if I did have, I would not be anywhere near the top. It is the taking part that matters to me and the learning all the new things I find out whilst playing these challenges. I had never been inside half of these houses, for example, so that was really interesting.

So, won't keep you waiting any longer for my score. It was a total of 79 new sims and I am now going back to play some of these new households. I have really enjoyed playing this one.

Thanks to the clever people who organise these challenges. Well done to those getting the fantastic scores and come on the rest of you, I know you can beat me. ;)

Sim World has 195 new NooBoos — and only 1 small fire  ;D.
That was really fun - thanks Team!

Hi everyone! Just finished this challenge and I am happy to say that 179 new nooboos have been added to my sim world. Fun challenge! Looking forward to seeing how others did.

Just finished up with 119 babies. This was a really fun challenge. The baby boomer challenges are always a favorite but this was a nice twist to the usual one. Thanks!

I have a question that is about how to avoid corrupting my save file, not challenge strategy.

Does anybody have any advice about how to set the "Maximum Sim Count" (which can be set from Manage Households or the Game Options/Gameplay menu.
I usually leave it at 80 and only at the 200 Max Recommended setting for my Build-a-City Challenge.
When I attempted to increase the count from "200 Max Recommended" to "Unlimited," I got an ingame warning that the Unlimited setting "severely impact game speed and load times."

So, my question is:
For this challenge only, would it be safe to select the "Unlimited" setting or will "My Household" sims not get culled even if I use the "200 Max Recommended" setting.
Thank you for reading through all that.

I was pretty nervous about that, too. I set mine to Unlimited and saved frequently. I did not really notice much of a slow down as my Sim count increased. It also definitely depends on your hardware... I am running a 2018 MacBook Pro. Don't know if that helps, but that's what I have and what I did.

@mismck
Thank you so very much for sharing your experience with the Unlimited setting. My computer and its trappings are decidedly older than yours, but usually doesn't give me trouble if I manage my sims' nventory properly.
I appreciate your response and will follow your example: choose unlimited and save frequently.

I can go into buy mode and buy things for my current house, if I want to, can't I? Like, I can go and buy a radio and plonk it down in the backyard if I so desire? The structural changes is talking about build mode, so no building a secondary structure in the backyard, changing the location of a wall or adding in/removing windows? I was just about to pop into buy mode and buy something, but wanted to double check before doing so. :P

Correct. Your radio example would be fine.

So, here's my situation.
Dad was going to adopt a baby. Meanwhile, I'm trying to control Mum's queue.
The screen with adoptable children pops-up, and I click somewhere without even seeing it. (I was trying to click a chair...)
The popping-up of the screen happens with some lag, but selecting a child is instant.
Dad goes off to the adoption agency. I have not consciously selected any child, but in the queue I can see it is a toddler.
I cannot cancel the action...

What to do?
Is this a DNF? Can I go back to a previous file?
(If I go to bed before you reply, I will finish the adoption, and use save as.)

(This is actually the second time this happens. The first time it was luckily a baby. Also I didn't realise what was going on until afterwards.)

Thanks in advance

Ah, game lag horor stories. I've had my share with hardcore deaths in Diablo. Yeah, go back to an earlier save, Nandarelle.

I've found that multitasking during the adoption process does not produce good results.
I just stick with each adopting sim until they leave for the agency.
On a few occasions, the parent even returned from the agency with no child, for some reason.
