Chapter 27
« Reply #105 on: December 30, 2020, 09:28:25 PM »
Namaste! It is time for me to take over as the chronicler of this Dynasty. I am Marie-Josephine Blackburn, an Aries sun. My star chart is pretty amazing actually, we should go over it sometime!

I have been looking forward to this chance for me to guide you along our Path together and lead the family into the next stage of our journey. Not everyone has what it takes to be a spiritual leader, but I feel so called to it.

As you are aware, I recently reached my next stage and became a teenager and as a present, my mom, Lucy, took the two of us to Shang Simla! I couldn’t wait! I’ve been dying to go since I was a child! They are home to some amazing ancient practices and they have mastered honing both the body and the mind, which is very relevant to my enlightenment.

Mom wanted to go shop and explore town a little, but I wanted to get started! I wish Lacy could have been here, but she isn’t so off I go on my own!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

There are so many tombs here! And despite being closed off for centuries, now I get to open them up and liberate the treasures inside. Luckily for the locals, I had no trouble breaking into them! They really have no idea what amazing treasures they have sealed away!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Before long, I was deep in some hidden temple. It was so activating! The thrill, the adventure! It was even better than in the stories! I took so many pictures to show Lacy and LaShawn when I get home.

Despite the many hurdles thrown in my path, I was able to outsmart them all! I am the top of my class, or well, I was and I will be again once I am back home and going to school again. The point is my mind is as challenged as my body.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I’m, like, amazing at this! I’m not surprised, after all, this is my destiny. Even I am a little impressed at my natural talent for it though. I think it helped that I have been avoiding all the foreign food here and been eating clean. I like to start my day off with one of mom’s alkaline smoothies. It’s really helpful having a gourmet chef along to help prepare my meals for me. You really feel just so much better when you are eating right.

It took Mom some time to understand my diet plan, but it's really pretty simple. It's mostly vegetables and fruits and never dairy! Always organic, of course. And no nightshades, obviously. And of course limited carbs. A few others things, but really, it's just so easy and it hardly takes Mom any extra time to prepare my meals for me. You should totally try it!

Mom spent her time finding some local, fresh fruits and veggies to use in my green juice. All organic, of course. Plus, she had promised Grandma Adelaide to bring some home for her to cook with.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I didn’t spend my entire time exploring though. I had other goals as well, such as learning martial arts. I have wanted to learn since I was a kid and now I can be taught by the greatest masters in the world. It’s really such a fascinating activity and I really love how centering it is. Really spiritual. And I think I really have what it takes to come in and dominate!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

While there is sparing, it isn’t a violent activity. It’s all about communing with your body and your surroundings and zen. Zen is such a beautiful concept, you know? As a fire sign, it can be hard for me to turn down my passion and drive and just enjoy the moment and learning to meditate was just...transcendent. It really helps me live in the moment and provides such clarity and focus.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I am, like, super good at beating people up though.

It’s so beautiful here and so tranquil I spent hours just communing with myself and with nature and the universe. I don’t think most teenagers could handle it, but I found it just life changing. Everyone should spend a few days just meditating in a zen garden in China, I promise you’ll be a changed person! When you are as mature as I am, you can really open up yourself and enter the next plane of existence.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Mom kept lecturing me that I shouldn’t spend the entire trip adventuring or practicing and insisted we go for a swim together. I hated it. I’m a fire sign! I don’t like hanging around in tepid bathwater! It’s filthy! Thankfully she didn’t make me swim long and I got to work on my tan by the pool while she splashed around.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I did manage to convince Mom that she should join me in learning martial arts. She doesn’t have my natural talent, but she seems to be enjoying it.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

While sparring is fun, I mostly wanted to explore tombs and meditate. I discovered some fascinating tombs, though not everything went perfectly smoothly.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

The time went by far too fast and Mom was informing me it was time to fly back home. While I hated leaving the serene, exotic beauty of Shang Simla, it was great to be back home. It was almost time for Lacy and LaShawn’s birthday and we couldn’t miss that.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Back home, I decided that I needed my own space to practice and had this lovely little zen garden made where I could meditate in private. It’s just so quaint! I can really feel my spiritual center here. It’s also got a board breaker for when I want to vent some anger productively.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Mom has been doing her own centering and her pieces were finally up to her standards. She was ready for Immortality. It’s important to never settle for less than what you deserve, something Mom taught me well. She seemed to have a bit more spark in her step when she came down out of the tower. I can't wait for my turn, though I'm not sure if Deathfish is alkaline...

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Lacy and LaShawn were thrilled to hear all about my adventures. Lacy is hoping she can go with Mom sometime soon as well. She is going to love it! And it will probably help clear up some of her skin issues. I think her chakras might be a little blocked.

I was itching to get back to Shang Simla though and I managed to whine to Mom and Dad and they agreed to take me again. I think they liked the chance to spend some time alone together while I got to explore.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

This wasn’t a pleasure trip though. I had a higher purpose this trip. I had heard about a rare axe, locked away to keep it’s raw, dangerous power in check. And while I can imagine other, lesser people had trouble with it, but I knew I could handle it. I had meditated a long time and I was ready for this challenge.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

It took some time to figure out how to get inside the tomb but soon I was working my way through it. No puzzles or danger were a match for me!

And then I was before it. It hummed with power and I knew it was meant for me. Hidden away in this strange, exotic land until it’s rightful owner could come for it!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

With my new, incredible tool, I was ready for even more adventures. No boulder could withstand my mighty power! Tombs that had previously been hidden from me were now available! Nothing was going to stop me!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Not wells full of filthy, stagnant water. Ugh. I really wish Lacy was here so I could make her do these parts.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

And fire only makes me stronger! Aries power activated! My chakras were just perfectly balanced here and I felt so in tune with everything.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Mom and Dad were still enjoying themselves, being romantic and stuff. It’s good I guess, but kinda gross when it’s your own parents. And nowhere near as cool as what I was doing, but I guess that’s what happens when you spend all day in an art studio.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Then it was sadly time to go back home again. My moms were all over each other after being apart, same with my Dad and Uncle Alaric. Gross!

~~~~
I don’t really endorse just about any of my characters, but in particular, Marie-Josephine is a bit racist and I do apologize for her trash views and I do not share them at all. As she mostly just says microaggression and not like slurs I just wanted to be clear around that part. My characters are not at all mouth pieces for me and are unreliable narrators at best.
I also apologize for the utter lack of pictures of teenage Lacy's face. I wasn't kidding when I said I forgot to take screenshots of stuff. Like Lacy and LaShawn where you can actually see them. But do I have 1000 pictures of very similar looking tomb raiding? Why yes I do!
Marie-Jo is the random Buddha statue in the dynasty's heath food store. I mean that analogy was supposed to go somewhere.
And I can see that those looks from Cyrus (and Alice) are still going strong with that lonesome pic of...one of the sisters. Sometimes the right townie genes come through. :')
She is exactly that! The Hilaria Baldwin of the sim world. It was a struggle picking which bananas diet fad I wanted her to be into, there are so many weird ones.
Lacy and LaShawn look a ton like Alice/Cyrus. They turned out very nice, if not my original plan. I still need to decide who Marie is going to have her baby with. I'm trying to not be a coward about it but it's so hard!
Thank you! I'm so glad you are enjoying it! I am not a writer, I usually do table top role playing, so not having tone and the ability to gesture has been hard! It's good to know it's working!
I've been reading this story offline, as is my habit so I have not been commenting much, but I still love this dynasty and the genetics. Marie's looks are great, so distinctive.
I'm trying to not let my disappointment she didn't get the Sam Goth old face, but she did turn out pretty good. Not sure where her hair color came from. I don't think it's Rickie's. I also noticed she didn't get his eye color either. Her pale eyes are from Adelaide. I'm surprised the color has stuck around so long.
The hair color is Sam's genetic color! He's the only ghost who can't pass down the blue Moonlight Falls ghost hair so it really is up to Lucy.
There is a Singh girl that has the blue as well. She's wolfed out at the moment, but she can pass the blue on in theory. Lucy didn't pass it on to either of her girls
Chapter 28
« Reply #113 on: February 04, 2021, 09:01:19 PM »
Nameste! I hope you have been taking care of your energies and readying yourself for the next ascension! The energy of the universe is so activated right now, it’s amazing. My energy work has been off the charts, even with all the negative vibes around the house. For a spiritual center, my family is so blocked. It's like talking to a brick wall when I suggest lighting some incense and try some yoga.
I am still stuck at home despite my heart being in Shang Simla, but since I am here, I might as well make an appearance at the party Lacy told me about. There was supposed to be a bonfire happening down at the arboretum with some other kids from school. That should give me some good pictures for my simsta and I do love a good fire pic!
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
It was a great party! Dancing and a few pranks. Nate and Lauren showed up, which makes sense. There aren’t many teenagers in town at the moment. I think it’s just me, my sisters and them, so I might as well start making friends with each other.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Lauren was a ton of fun! She knows how to make a splash! I wonder what her sign is…
Dad’s birthday came and we had a small party to celebrate. I hate being reminded how close he and Mom are to the end of their paths, while mine will keep stretching on.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Mom and Peanut are still inseparable. Now that she’s Immortal, she has lots of extra time for him.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Then it came time for a rather early prom! I won Prom Queen, as to be expected as an Aries, but then things went a little down hill. My crush rejected my attempts at dancing, which how dare they! Don’t they know who I am!? I was just trying to be nice! Thankfully I had my neroli oil I got from Al Simhara specially for calming in my purse.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Then some rude freshman that didn’t even belong there was wearing my outfit! I had this custom made and they copied me! I can’t express my individuality when someone wears the same outfit! This was handmade by children in Asia! They assured me it was one of a kind!
The worst part was when I asked a boy to dance and they threw a drink in my face! But then Lauren arrived. She was so sweet and helped me clean the sticky liquid off in the bathroom. Not that it mattered, it is silk after all and utterly ruined. But it was so sweet that she tried.
Then she asked me to dance and I said yes. And then we had another dance and another until the night was over.
Not my best evening, but the end made it rather worth it. I took a salt bath the second I got home though. My aura must be all out of balance for all that bad luck!
I invited Lauren out on a date the next day. We spent the entire day there, talking and laughing and skating around. I don’t know if it’s true love, but I do like her. Her star chart isn’t great, but it’s a decent match for mine. Though she has some Taurus tendencies that are a touch annoying. But her brother has aged up already, so my options are a touch limited for teenagers I’m not related to.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
As you know, Aries can’t stay still for long, adventure was calling me! Though this time it was to Champs Les Sims, France! There were rumors linking my axe to Chateau du Landgraab! So obviously I had to check it out.
This time all three of my parents plus Uncle Alaric came along. They wanted to celebrate Mom’s Immortality. I think they just wanted to be together in a new scenery. And France is the least likely to make a fuss at their slightly uncontroversial pairings. People can be so unenlightened, but the French seem to be less prudish than most.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
I got left alone to go exploring for the most part. The nice thing about my parents having each other is they can keep each other entertained and I can go find amazing French treasures!
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
My parents spent the time being all romantic together. And doing things I am enlightened enough that I don’t care if they are doing it but I don’t really want to think about my parents engaging in. Eww!
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Besides, I had plenty to keep me busy!
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Back home I continued to find places where I could commune and enter a higher level of consciousness. The Graveyard was particularly good for it and I can get great selfies there. My Simstagram is really taking off! You should totally follow me there @FollowYourLight!
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Grandma and Mom still fight all the time. They really need to cleanse their auras. So much negativity. I keep recommending them crystals and salt baths, but they never listen. They are so blocked and honestly, it’s really messing up the energy at the house. But I keep my room and zen garden cleansed and attuned to my energies, so I at least have my retreats, but it’s hard on the aura to be around them, despite how much I love them.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
I wanted to take some time to recharge and cleanse, you know? It’s so important to give yourself time to rest and after all that negativity, I needed to spend some time worshiping the sun. And really, the summers here are just perfect. I didn’t spend much time in the ocean, it smells awful and it’s frankly disgusting, but the beach was wonderful.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
And when it started to get a little darker out, it turned into a beach party! It’s that Aries energy, you know. Or maybe my Leo placement! We just inspire spontaneity, you know? And you can’t really grow up with my mom and not learn a few tricks for a great party.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Mom was mad I broke curfew though, but I don’t see what the big deal is! She did it all the time when she was my age! At least I wasn’t arrested! I think her Crown chakra is blocked, because she did not want to listen to me! That or it’s all that disgusting junk food she eats all the time. Nothing but fat and grease! Obviously it’s infecting her ability to be rational!
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Grandma Adelaide has been spending more time out of the house. It seems like she and Celina have started up something together. Mom is going to freak when she finds out, she hates everyone in that entire family!
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Lacy, LaShawn and I hang out all the time together. They are my best friends in the whole world and they make being stuck at home bearable when all I want to do is go back to Shang Simla!
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
I think Mom must have found out about Grandma Adelaide, because she has been snapping at everyone lately! Her chakras are so blocked! But does she listen? Of course not. Honestly, I think she might die if she had to actually listen to someone that wasn’t herself.
I should have seen it coming, spending so much of my time connecting with the universe, but sweet little Peanut was called for his journey onto the Path of Gentle Light. We shall all miss him, he was adored by just about everyone in the house.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
There was hardly anytime to get used to not having Peanut around when Uncle Alaric was called. None of us were ready for it, he was such a huge part of our lives. Dad is devastated, crying all the time.
[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
The house is all out of balance as we deal with our grief. Not the best time to begin the next stage of my life. But sometimes the greatest heroes are born from the greatest sadness.
This is all part of the Path and while it hurts, it is only a temporary hurt. I have essential oils and meditation sessions ready to go for everyone in the house. It will be hard, but all my training has prepared me for this.
~~~~~~~~~~

Marie actually had to go to Prom twice because it crashed right before she finished her first one. The first one she was really successful at, had a great time and hallucinated a three eyed llama. Hooked up with Lauren both times though because Lauren was the only teenage sim she wasn’t related to; Nate had aged up the day before so didn’t attend prom.

She also had the worst luck with adventures! She kept getting ones that wanted her to travel to other destinations or were a ton of running around/waiting for a collectible to spawn. I ended up letting her go to France because I figured I could pick up the stuff I needed for nectar making and Lucy could zenport by now and who knows when I’ll need to stop traveling. But she has been taking forever to get to visa level 3!

It balanced out though that I spent most of her teenagerdom working on her meditation than anything else. I didn’t want her to get her athletics high yet and so I tried my best to avoid sparring or anything like that. She ended up getting a bug that wouldn't let her select herself in vacation worlds, so she couldn’t meditate obsessively there to get her hours in anymore. But thankfully she had most of her hours done by then, so she was able to finish the rest off at home.

It was the beginning for poor Marie-Josephine’s bug problems. It’s been figured out by now, but she had to deal with a lot of technical problems during her run. Including lots of crashing and error 12 when saving and the usual trick stopped working. Doing a lot of saving and restarting the game and I’ve got it mostly down now so I rarely lose progress. But I had to do so much grindy replaying with her and China has been getting slowly more and more unstable so she didn’t end up getting to do some of the stuff I had been planning for her story wise. Hopefully it’ll still be a fun read.

Aside from Peanut and Alaric dying (if not without obvious offspring, which I love): my chakras are aligned, neem oil is out for sniffin', Aries sun/Leo moon placement (yes really) still making me a chaotic individual.

I'm fine with getting Alaric's kids into the bloodline but now I wonder who the red guy at the bonfire was. Balthazar's spawn keep marching on I guess. And the messages about travel bugs hurt me too. :P

Chapter 29
« Reply #115 on: March 11, 2021, 07:34:39 PM »
Nameste!

As you know, the Path has been moving forward in our house. It has been hard to get used to the new emptiness, but I have been making my homemade tea. It’s so important to be centered right now and the tea is incredibly cleansing and calming, I use lavender, elderberry, lemon balm and passion flower. I would be just lost without it!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

It was not the most auspicious time to have a birthday, but we did need something to celebrate and I wouldn’t shy away from my duty to bring light and balance to those that need it. So I planned a big party to help us shake off some of that sadness!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

A quick trip to the dresser and I was ready to party.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I graduated with honors and won most likely to be a sports star, which makes sense as I am training to become a martial arts master. And as it’s my graduation day, I got to pick the restaurant and we had a healthy, plant based breakfast following the ceremony, much to Grandma Adelaide’s annoyance. Her heart and complexion will thank me!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I did need to get started on my career. Yoga has always been my calling and acroyoga even more so. So why not perform and show off my amazing skills as well as bring them word of the Path of Gentle Light. Part workout, part revival! The perfect event!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Though, I need to get into better shape if I am going to start pulling off the more impressive tricks. I have been talking with Grandma Adelaide about my new diet so we can get my body into peak performance. Nightshades can really wreck a body, you know? And I think we all know the dangers of sugar!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I called up Lauren as well. Might as well see if there are still some sparks with us both as young adults. She is as stunning as ever, though looks were never her problem. And a great kisser!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

One of the things I needed to work on was cardio and when I got the opportunity to go to Al Simhara and train, I knew I couldn’t pass it up. I spent most of my time working on my form and body, but I did get to get in some shopping.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

And take in some stunning views.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

My parents used their time away from me to go on some dates. I think they are still reeling from losing my Uncle and needed some time to bond together.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Once back, I decided to get right to work. I had a long ladder to climb to get to the top! I am made for bigger things than open stage days at the park. My family name might have gotten my foot in the door, but the rest is up to me!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I didn't get to spend too much time on it though. It was almost time for the annual competition in Shang Simla and I wanted to be a part of it. After a far too long flight (curse my being too environmentally conscious to take a PJ!) I was back in my Soul Home. I feel like I’m practically a native!

I signed up right away and soon I was fighting.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

And fighting.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

And fighting.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Aries energy is impossible to beat! I dominated the competition and it will come as no surprise and I won! That’s right! I am the Champion! #Winner

I wanted to spend the rest of my vacation exploring. There are so many amazing tombs and caves that have just been left alone for centuries! Of course I just had to check them out!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I made sure to post some pics and vids and stuff to my simsta and I got so many new followers!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

As I like to work out my mind and not just my body #totalpackage I love all the traps and puzzles. It’s almost like they only want the very best to get in and that’s me!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

It was one of the biggest tombs I have ever been in and I ended up in the greatest fight of my life! Real ones! Against mummies!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I defeated the guards easily enough, they were no match for the winner of the Shang Simla martial arts tournament!

But then it was time for the Big One. The greatest foe I would ever fight.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

And I won! Yay! Take that! Was there ever a doubt? Or course not!

I spent the rest of my time in Shang Simla sparring and working on my flexibility and strength. And I am going to bring back some tofu recipes for Grandma Adelaide to make. It’s so important to keep the body pure, you know?

At home, it’s work work work. I adore giving the revivals and spreading the word of health and connecting to the body and of course, the Path of Gentle Light.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

My sisters remain my biggest fans. They love to see my shows and I always make sure they get VIP treatment!

My shows are so big now, I have been having to use the event center! People can’t get enough of my shows and I love giving the people what they want! Me!

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I’ve been just as popular off stage. I’m really magnetic and people are drawn to that. I think it’s my fire energy, people can’t resist it, you know? And who am I to deny them? Bronson Singh is a pretty good kisser too.

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

~~~~~~~~~~~
I think (it’s been a minute since I’ve opened the file) that the red skinned dude is Terrill MacDuff*. Son of Dayvid Musgrave and Lauren MacDuff. Lauren was the daughter of Balthazar and Felicity. Carmella’s genes don’t mess around, which(witch! *rimshot*) I love. I really need to focus on getting my favorite genes in, but I keep being a coward about it. I’m going to end this challenge without breeding in my favorites at this rate! T____T
This has been going slowly, as I have a lot of depression and executive function issues (Go Team Mental Illness!), but I haven't given up yet! I will have an Immortal Dynasty! I have gen 5 up to YA and that had been going well when I had to stop myself from playing so I am forced to work on the posts. I have forgotten like...everything I was doing. I spent a lot of time looking at a screenshot trying to figure out why on earth I took the screenshot. And I keep looking at my pollinated kids in the background going, "Who are you? Who are you? Who is anybody!?"
Also, it was really annoying how much weight Marie-Josephine kept losing while working out. I wanted to get the athletic challenges and at home, I can just throw her in the body sculptor to get her bangin' bod back. But on vacation, I'm stuck with her being all skinny and it doesn't look like her! Dislike!
Oh! Fun Fact: While fighting the mummies, she got the attracted moodlet and little hearts for EVERY SINGLE ONE. Apparently Marie-Josephine has a type and that type is disgusting.
*This is my best guess based of my notes and sketchy memory. But I think that is the right sim.
I think your guess on the red guy makes sense. Hoping that Dayvid introduces a new dimension to my town skintones one day I guess, and you caught him before Branch committed premeditated homicide. Is Lauren maybe a wife? I am still interested in the baby daddy races though. At least you still have some great bloodlines to choose from.
Namaste!
I hope you have all been keeping your auras cleansed and your energy open. I just got the most divine sunstone and it’s just really been boosting my mood and my fire energy. And I have really needed it.
You see, my father died. It happened so suddenly, none of us were ready for it. He was old, sure, but so full of love and life it didn’t seem possible he was that old. It seemed too soon after Alaric had died. But the Path calls to us all and it knows the time that is right, if not convenient. I shall miss him so much.
Then, hardly any time seemed to have passed when my mom joined him on the Path. That hurt the most. She was my everything! Who was going to help me argue with Mom when she kept trying to redesign my stage outfit? Who was going to spar with me while we talked about my life? Who is going to give me advice while we drink tea on the porch?
The Path can feel cruel, but I know that it was their time. While I didn’t feel ready to let them go didn’t mean they weren’t ready to take their new steps. It just hurts so much and the house feels so empty without them. But we must all keep walking the Path and the hurt will eventually fade.
Lauren has been so kind. Spending time with me to distract me and bringing me ingredients for my teas. She has such a good soul.
Bronson helped me forget as well. Sometimes I just didn’t want to think, you know, just feel. And he was good for that.
A little too good at it because I managed to get pregnant.
Lauren wasn’t happy when she found out as, obviously, she’s not the father. She seemed to think we were supposed to be monogamous but we never said that! It's not like I killed someone!
I don’t see what the big deal is! I am grieving and it’s helping keep me grounded! And it’s not like she hasn’t met my parents!
My sisters at least are thrilled for me. They can’t wait to have a niece to dote on and spoil. I know I can always count on them to give me the boost and attention I need!
My pregnancy was a dream. I love having this new life inside me, growing and becoming. I did a lot of prenatal yoga and did some deep purifying rituals. It was marvelous.
I wanted to do a home birth but Grandma Vera said absolutely not and kept ranting about hygiene. Eventually I agreed to a water birth at the hospital and no drugs! I wanted to be a part of such a primal experience.
After some pushing, screaming and an epidural, we were able to welcome Velma Blackburn to the world. Isn’t she absolutely perfect! Look at those little fingers!
Bronson didn’t get to spend much time with his daughter. The day after the birth, the Path came for him. It was time and he was ready. I don’t think he was really looking forward to fatherhood in his advanced age. I would miss him, but he already gave me the greatest gift he ever could and it was his time to start his new Path.
Velma was a dream and her infant days flew by. And her first birthday was special! Because she got to share it with mine!
First went Velma.
Then me! Don’t I look just divine? My skin is still like that of a teenagers! All thanks to a strict diet and yoga.
I adore being a mother! Watching Velma learn and explore the world around her is wonderful. She’s brilliant and whimsical and I can’t get enough of her. Look at those chunky little thighs!
I taught her all her skills, I wasn’t going to waste a minute of time with her.
And of course, there was always time for play.
In far too short a time, it was time for Velma to have another birthday. My baby isn’t going to be a baby anymore.
Isn't she growing up so well! I think she has her daddies nose!
She’s such a bright girl with a curious mind. I don’t always understand exactly what she’s working on in her workshop, but I’m so proud of her for doing it!
If left on her own, I think Velma would spend all her time at that workbench, talking about how she was going to make a time machine or some such. And while I try to encourage her to follow her #bliss, I think it’s important she spend time outside, using her body.
And that she spends time with her peers. I won’t let her turn into one of those weird recluses. She has a destiny to fill and a family name to uphold! I thought about unschooling her, but apparently that is against the rules, which is ridiculous!
The time was so wonderful and it flew by. It seemed like only yesterday Velma was a toddler, but now she’s ready to become a teenager!
Isn’t she stunning! Just like her Mother!
And now, my time with you has come to an end and I must pass on this noble role. Take a salt bath and keep yourself free of negative energy! And be sure to eat alkaline! Love and Light my darlings and make sure you follow me on Simstagram!
Namaste!
I think your guess on the red guy makes sense. Hoping that Dayvid introduces a new dimension to my town skintones one day I guess, and you caught him before Branch committed premeditated homicide. Is Lauren maybe a wife? I am still interested in the baby daddy races though. At least you still have some great bloodlines to choose from.
My town is depressingly white (I guess is not unlike the real Northwest). Part of it is my fault, part of it is just bad luck with the kids, but Dayvid helped pass on a few darker kids, though my favorite one is a fairy, which, missed blessings. I keep not breeding my long lived women because I keep thinking I should save them for later, but, I am going to run out of heirs to breed them to soon, so I need to stop being so cowardly.
I also really need some more boys. Good grief. It is getting a little tricky finding dudes. Normally all my towns turn into the Isle of Lesbos because I am a simple woman with simple needs. But that's with mods and stuff! I don't know why I keep getting boys all from the same household and the rest girls. Which is great for finding love interests, but not baby daddies.
Dayvid didn't get married. The closest I let my pollinators get is live in boyfriend. Maybe an engagement or two. He had one long term girlfriend and an affair and I have would have to check my file to remember which one Lauren is. I have had so many pollinators (21 so far) at this point, their stories have blurred together a little. And they don't tend to be that complex in the first place.
As you have probably noticed, around here is when I basically gave up on trying to get any story for Marie-Josephine. There was a lot of partially started stuff in my screenshots, but I never ended up following through with it. As I mentioned before, I seem to have worked out a better system for not constantly losing my progress so Velma should hopefully have more going on.
Velma getting blue hair really surprised me. It skipped a generation I think? I can’t recall if Bronson had blue hair before the white, but I don't think he did. So it must have come from grandpa Basil. Such a good boy, still coming through for me after his death.
It doesn’t make it into the story much, but Adelaide has been steadily flirting her way through the town’s female population. Often when I check in on her, she’s flirting with someone. Though it’s starting to make me nervous because my family tree has started to get wonky and I can’t tell if the game considers Marie-Jospehine and Velma related to her.
I was hoping for Marie-Jo to have more of a love life but she got her time with Lauren and Bronson and, I dunno, she probably can justify staying away from worldly pursuits and keeping her chakras clear. :P Velma is so cute! From the blue hair to the nose.
I had a bunch of plans for her and she actually did a ton of flirting, but it didn't get much of a chance to go anywhere with all her having to replay stuff. She suffered story wise a lot for it and I feel a touch bad I didn't get her to have all her affairs I was planning.
I love how Velma turned out, though I'm a little annoyed that face shape is sticking around forever! I feel like my immortals have been real similar looking to their mom, just change like one feature. Which is better than a total clone, but they are looking delayed for sure. Oh Sam. I wanted you long, old face so badly but it wasn't to be
