Idle Sims
« on: April 06, 2020, 05:33:37 PM »
hey there everybody:

if this question was already asked, so sorry but i am playing right now and i keep noticing sims in the neighborhood just standing around idle like they are stuck, but they are not. they fan themselves because they are hot, but they are not stuck. i am tempted to edit town and go to that particular sim to have him or her do something, but it has become quite annoying to see and i feel i ought not have to do that anyway so i kind of try to ignore them. but i was wondering, is this supposed to happen? or is it some kind of bug or glitch?

thanks for answers and please stay safe everybody!

Inactive Sims 3 sims aren't exactly the most active/smart but is this affecting everyone in your save? Are you running any mods? It either sounds like a mod conflict or perhaps your autonomy settings are off.

actually trip i am using mods, several in fact. but this was happening even before i started using mods. i usually ignore it but since i have been playing for so long, it becomes a little hard to ignore lol.

thanks for answering!
be safe!

I am not entirely sure if resetting the town would help?

When things go wonky with my saved games I clear game cache as part of troubleshooting the game. If that doesn't help, I save back families, houses and lots and refresh my Sims 3 folder to see if that helps get the game to run better.

I don't know if you've tried any of these things, so just in case, I'm adding links to help.
