Saving a Sim?

hello everybody!

i am looking for some information as to how do i save a sim before i uninstall and reinstall sims 3. i made a really beautiful sim in CAS and i want to keep using her for future games but i don't know how to do this. i don't want to lose her when i delete my previous game that she is currently in. any help is appreciated and thank you!
