My scientist made it to the 5th level.  She invented 5 inventions.  Made 3 upgrades and mixed 3 tainted serums.

So 50 points times (1 + (.08+.06))
= 57 total points.

Hey guys, first of all I want to say that I'm not dead and am fully planning on participating in this challenge, it was my idea after all, I haven't been around much because I got sucked back into Stardew Valley again That game is like crack and I've been busy with all my lockdown plans, but I'm here and ready to play now!

Wow, I'm surprised to see so many scores on the board already, I was worried my idea wouldn't be popular so that's great to see! :D

That is a great twist to the score multiplier, @Metropolis Man
I can just imagine Rainbow Dash cackling with glee and rubbing her hands together.
Haha, you just lured me in, too.

Are you spying on me @oshizu? Because that is a scarily accurate portrayal of my response, lol. *Starts looking around for hidden cameras* :o

That's a great rule edit @Metropolis Man, it certainly makes the challenge more interesting, that's for sure and definitely has more potential to allow me to be a mad, evil scientist, my co-workers had better watch their backs!

I hope you guys are all enjoying this, I plan on joining the mayhem shortly. ;)

Nice to see you back, Rainbow. Given the craziness in the world now, I was getting worried. :) Glad you're safe and doing fine.

Oh yeah, me and my hubby just purchased Stardew Valley a few days ago and can't stop :D I abandoned all my other games :D good thing I finished this challenge earlier.

Please add me to the ranks of the 59 club.  Career = 50;  SIM = 1.18.  Thank you! I love the science career!

My Sim reached level 5 of his career.  He had 5 inventions and 3 upgrades on the Simray.  He had 2 tainted serums and 5 tested serums = 1.17 x 50 giving a total of

58.5

I hope this is right?  Fun challenge, though I have no idea on how anyone could get pass level 6 in such a short time.  I'm curious to see how people did it.

Despite having embellished his résumé somewhat before applying for this mission (but seriously, how hard can it be to pick up Simlish?), Pilchards Fandango (uh, welp) did Sixam relatively proud: his infiltration of FutureSim Labs saw him rise to Laboratory Leader (career level 7), so at the very least he's now technically in charge of something. Exactly how capable he is of "leading" the locals in their scientific pursuits remains to be seen, but he's been trying his hardest, bless. With 8 tainted serums made and tested, 6 inventions constructed and used & 5 upgrades installed and trialled (some of these to... interesting effects), his final multiplier is 1 + (8 x 0.02) + 6 x 0.01 + 5 x 0.01 = 1.27 for a score of 70 x 1.27 = 88.9.

Many thanks the team for this challenge, and Rainbow Dash for the initial idea of course - it turned out to be ridiculously good fun, not least because it somehow turned into one of the most bonkers fortnights I've ever played. I took a heck of a lot of screenshots, put it that way. And hey, I've become sufficiently fond of Pilchards that I'm going to continue with this file for a bit, partly to see how quickly he can make it to the top of the career and partly because he deserves the opportunity to actually live with his fiancé and... well, spoilers. You can probably guess, though.

I gotta say I'm dying to find out how Nikitachi made it to level 8 - you must have been even more focused than your scientist! Around the start of week 2, something did occur to me that might have helped, but I'm not convinced the maths works out... guess I'll just have to wait and see!

Maybe having a nuclear physicist husband in real life helps :D

This was such a fun challenge! Thanks to @Rainbow Dash for a simple but intriguing challenge!
The .02 points for every unique tainted serum also gave the challenge a fun twist!

Billie Nyquil had a blast during her short life as an active sim, fires and all.
Career (70) * 1.27 = 88.9

Dill Rye was cranky at having to work so hard. Too bad, heehee.
Level 5 career
4 inventions, 4 upgrades, 4 tainted serums made & used

this is driving me mad. Thought I'd manage to get this done over the weekend but my game crashes every time I enter a household. I've got as far as joining the science career in one file but that's it. I've tried all the usual, repairing, starting a new file, updating drivers, offline mode. I'll keep trying but am so annoyed that this will ruin my participation rate which was 100% so far. Sorry for whinging
