I have not played with the Drama club. I'd say it unlocks with Del Sol Valley.

Yeah, I plant a lot for grafting. It's actually 16 plants--8 of each. I have done it with less, but the more the better your chances.

Yes, being handy with the fire extinguisher is definitely a leadership quality.
@oshizu, I'm pretty sure that Drama Club came with Get Famous. Your teen has to have 3 levels of acting to reach the top of the club.

Hahaha, not that you're twisting my arm or anything, right?  I'm definitely intrigued by the idea...

BIENVENUE: Chastain Rnd 1

Remy and Sylvia moved into the Nookstone lot. They built a tiny building for their toilet and shower and decided to keep everything else outside. A major advantage to living in the desert is that they won’t have to contend with rain very often.

Sylvia: I mean, we appreciate y’all coming over to “welcome” us, but we only moved across the street.

Rosa: ….

Alec: ….

Sylvia: Well, thanks for coming by.

Sylvia and Remy got straight to work on their contributions to the community. Sylvia maxed the painting skill, thus opening up a slot in the Painter career. No one can actually take the job right now, but as long as someone takes a spot before Sylvia dies, it will still count. Sylvia is also working on painting masterpieces to unlock the Museum.

Remy planted a small garden and maxed the fishing skill, opening up one slot in the Scientist career. He also completed Angling Ace, which will be used as a joker to multiply a CAS point, once that is earned by someone maxing Charisma.

Sylvia and Remy also hosted a gold medal Kava party, which brought the total number of gold medal parties to five, unlocking townies.

Now that Townies are unlocked, Sylvia holds yard sales to sell her paintings.

The Chastains will soon be contributing to the community in another way. Theirs will be the first nooboo born in Bienvenue!

I love this couple! You did a fabulous makeover on Supriya Delgado--I would never have recognized her--and those pointy glasses are such a sassy touch!
Remy is just so attractive!
It's also interesting how you've chosen to keep two of your starting families in the same area.
I ended up having different images in my head for where each couple would want to live and so none of the starting couples are neighbors.
Also, I love the very laid-back vibe of this hood!

My thoughts on a municipal naming system, which follow below.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

How did the yard sales go?
Unlike the case with the BACCs of @PeregrineTook and me, your founders' parties are crashed by townies. What is your secret?

Great progress for the Chastains! Can't wait to meet their nooboo(s). But before that, I'm looking forward to seeing which household's up next!

@oshizu The only party I had that problem with was the kava party. I just used MCCC to make the townies leave the lot.  ;)

All of my original Sims will be starting in Bedrock Strait. I have two more updates that I’ll post tomorrow, then we’ll move on to the new settlers.

@oshizu mentioned my build of Desert Bloom Park a few days ago. Here are some pictures. You'll have to turn CC on to see it on the Gallery. It is mostly CC free but I may have used a custom paint. Anyway, my Gallery ID is reggikko.

I was going for a sort of campground feel, so there a tents, grills, and a couple of ponds for fishing. The pool is fully functional. There are also planter boxes for a Community garden.

Super cute park build!  Don't be surprised if an eerily similar-looking park shows up in my BACC yard  ;=)

ROUND 1: RAMOS

Once everyone else moved out, Juan and Gloria built a simple but roomy house. They plan to raise a large family and didn’t want to build a tiny house only to have to rebuild. They live on Slipshod Mesquite.

It didn’t take long for them to get started on their family.

Gloria continued to work on her garden. She maxed the skill, so once there are three families with children the park will be unlocked.

She also started selling the excess honey her bees were producing.

She and Juan enjoyed the fresh produce. Their life was settling into a routine and it felt like home.

The garden help really likes yoga.

Welcome Baby Diego!

Aww, somebody isn’t very happy.

Hanging out with Patchy.

This update ends as it began. Juan and Gloria are expecting again.

RAMOS FAMILY
Juan (YA)
Gloria (YA)
Diego (Toddler)

Unlocks:
Juan: L10 Handiness (unlocks electricity and the Tech Guru career)
Juan: L10 Fishing (unlocks a position in the Science career)
Gloria: L10 Gardening (unlocks the park) (Park unlocks the Gardener career)

All your screenshots are great, but I particularly love your kitchen shot!
For the Micro/Tiny houses, it's easiest to start with an initial floor plan that can be easily extended to the back and/or side.
Then not to much rebuilding needs to happen, just the addition of a couple of rooms or three.

Diego is so cute and takes after his father a lot, it seems. :)
How did Gloria's yard sale fare?

Super cute little family!
I'm enjoying building the tiny houses, but I can definitely understand wanting more space for a family planning to have plenty of children  :=)  Am I correct in guessing that they'll be going for at least one if not several of the family aspirations?

Thanks, guys. :)

Yes, I think I'm going to try for Super Parent, Big Happy Family, and Successful Lineage with them. I don't think I've ever completed Big Happy Family before.

Gloria did well with the yard sale. Of course, the honey isn't worth a great deal, but that's fine. I'm not looking for my settlers to all be super rich.

Love the shot of Patchy doing yoga. I need to use him more often. Diego is adorable. Good luck on the family aspirations!
