My teens just hit 8 am of Week 3 Sunday, finally!
I'm writing out my score because I'm not sure.

300 * (1.00 + 2.59) = 1,077

That was tough. I'm glad it's over. :)

Regarding the scoring - here is an example.

  • Sim 1 maxed Cooking as a unique Skill.  Sim 1 also maxed dancing (5 points) and had 7 points in Logic.
  • Sim 2 had 2 points in cooking, but that was okay per the post I made April 04, 2020, 01:02:36 PM (FAQs were updates as well; if this doesn't sound familiar, check the second post in this thread - look for the red text). Sim 2 maxed Fishing as a unique Skill, had 3 points in Logic, 2 points in Rocket Science, and 7 points in Guitar.
  • Sim 3 maxed Rocket Science and Piano and had 4 points in Guitar.

Skills Multiplier:
  • Sim 1 gets .01*10 for cooking plus .01*5 for dancing plus .01*7 for logic = .22
  • Sim 2 gets .01*10 for fishing plus .01 * 7 for guitar = .17.  You don't count logic because you counted logic for Sim 1.  You don't count Rocket Science because you get more points for it if Sim 3 counts it.
  • Sim 3 gets .01*10 for Rocket Science plus .01*10 for Piano = .2; You don't count Guitar because you counted guitar for sim 2.

So your total skills part of the multiplier is .22 + .17 + .2 = .59

Also don't forget - Lena made a great spreadsheet to add all this up - it's linked in the first post.

Oh thank goodness that was how I thought the scoring worked.

@Metropolis Man & @GlazeyLady -Thank you so much for helping with the multiplier. It now makes perfect sense. I think I was just confusing myself. These teens with their mood swings are driving me batty!  :o

Nice score Oshizu.  Glad you stuck it out.

Even without the pull of club activities, my sims always preferred to do whatever they didn't need to be doing, haha.
They did meet about a half dozen townies who I'll be importing into my Build-A-City, so that's a plus!

What is with all the fires?

Hypothetically if a Sim dies is it game over. Nobody has died yet but one did come home from work mortified and with my luck and teen mood swings who knows what may happen.

Oh, I really hope no teens die in this challenge!  But if they do, you can count what they did before death and continue with the other two teens.  You can also plead with Grim, or use any non-cheat method of getting that sim back into the household.

Teens shouldn't die from the extreme emotions from mood swings.  Just don't let them age up in the extreme emotion because then they will die.

Rachel, two years ago when I was doing a Rival Dynasties Challenge, I worried about emotional deaths among teens.
@HelenP checked the game's coding for me (and out of her own curiosity) and found that teens can't die from emotional deaths due to mood swings.

HI everyone! Finally finished this last night. I had a bit of a glitch for the social events where it was not giving me the task list, but repaired my game and worked fine after that. So, Willie, Staci and Brandi Hobo survived. They all achieved hero status, and here are the calculations:

300 * (1 + 2.24) = 972

Looking forward to the next challenge!

I feel better knowing that my teens are safe from emotional death.
