Please help me get rid of this lot
« on: March 08, 2020, 08:42:55 AM »
Hi, I recently downloaded a lovely little tea room for my game. I completely overhauled it and added lots of (tea room) cc. However on trying to play my game the following day I found the game will not let me into the lot, the whole thing just seizes up and crashes. My problem is, because I can't get into the lot to bulldoze it, I can't get rid of it. I have taken the files out of my tray and deleted from my library, it is no longer showing in any of my files but it is still there, how do I get rid of it? Please help, as I have been trying everything I can think of for days and it is driving me mad!

With deleting it from your tray folder, and your in-game library, did you delete the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder in Documents? This helps remove any traces of the mods or cc that were previously installed.

Please forgive the repeated suggestions, trying to help troubleshoot the issues.

Thanks Mrs Flynn, I did delete the thumbcache. I have never come across this problem before but it's driving me crazy. I know I can just ignore the lot but unfortunately, that's not the way my brain works).
I have decided I will start afresh with a complete new game as I just can't think of any other way to put things right.

Overwrite that glitchy lot with another one of the same size from "manage worlds" -- without loading into any lot.
It is a little thing of my own. I call it "Heart Foam". I shall not publish it. Farewell! Patience, Patience, farewell!

Exit Bunthorne.
