When you move one of the pancakes into an existing household, like Spencer Kim Lewis, do you need to build a new bedroom or can you just leave the house as it is?

Dumb question (fueled by anxiety) incoming, but when you say good friends with 1/2/3/4 pancakes, you mean 'sims with the surname Pancakes' and not 'pancakes that you can cook' don't you? 'cause I know how to befriend sims with the surname Pancakes but not sure how to become friends with pancakes you cook.

Also if/when my Pancakes start a fire and burn down the house/kill themselves that would count as a DNF? (Yes, I'm that certain of my skills in this challenge.)

Yes, it's the name and not the food for the Good Friends requirement. But, if you could actually become Good Friends with pancakes that sounds like a funny IHOP commercial.

In this challenge, unfortunately, yes, it would be a DNF since the goal is to put a Pancake in every home. In some challenges, such as simply accumulating as much simoleans as possible by x date, then having a disaster in the middle of the event would not result in a DNF, but just posting your score at the point of the disaster.

Would it be DNF if one of Bob and Eliza's kids were to have a cooking accident? Because Bob and Eliza could keep trying to fill the town even if some kids get lost on the way

Marian can weigh in with her opinion given this is her event, but IMO yes you could continue because  you'd just be racking up more time and thus, a worse score.

I'd say you could still continue as long as both Bob and Eliza were alive and the house was standing.

This ^^ is exactly why I'm avoiding this challenge, I usually only play with one or two Sims at a time, I really can't handle a full household.

I heartily recommend the The Ten-Gen Townie Dynasty Challenge for you guys - the households may be large but you only play with one Sim most of the time. I love it as big households stress me out too which is why I could never succeed at an Immortal Dynasty.

I'm thinking of doing a Sims 4 Dynasty, I'd love to do the Rival Dynasty but for my first challenge I don't think that's a good idea, I haven't played a Sims 4 Dynasty before and I never do rotational play so I think that's a bit much to take on for my first try. Besides, I need more content for what I'd like to do anyway. Of course I'd love to do the classic Immortal Dynasty too but I'm a little worried this old laptop won't be able to handle it, lol.

The Ten-Gen Townie Dynasty is one I'm considering, I like the idea of being able to use any townie, regardless of their life state. The only thing that's making me indecisive about this one is only being able to control one Sim at a time. I'm a big control freak when it comes to my Sims, it's a Capricorn thing lol, so just letting them run amok goes against the way I play. It could be kind of fun though. :-\

The Power of Ten Dynasty lends itself to small households, as well, which I also prefer: Founder or heir, spouse, and one child is all you ever need.

This is the one I'll probably end up doing for my first Dynasty once I finally get around to it, for this reason and I like the idea of my Sims having a long list of tasks to keep them busy. I like whole "Power of 10" theme too, interesting.

Whatever I decide will take quite a lot of planning so I may spend some time doing this while I wait and see what the next challenge will be, :)

@Rainbow Dash power of 10 is definitely more for you as you can play any lifestate. You lose points for vamps in TGT

Does a double bed count for two Sims, or do we really need 8 seperate beds for a full household?

No. The rule states that each Sim needs a bed, not a separate bed...

  • Furniture can be sold, but Pique Hearth must have a bed for each Sim...

Even though I did play some test files before the actual challenge, Day 1 was stressful! And now, to celebrate the pancake, here is a poem by Christina Rossetti, aptly named Mix a Pancake.

Mix a Pancake,
Stir a pancake,
Pop it in the pan,
Fry the pancake,
Toss the pancake,
Catch it if you can.

Just repeat this really fast 6 times and that was my first day. Did you hear me in the background shouting "Cook those pancakes faster and stop chatting with your brothers and sisters! Go! Go! Go!" lol

Oh that doesn't bother me at all, it's the "I'm Surrounded By Idiots!" part that will really get my goat, lol. :P But seriously, Power Of 10 is probably the best one for me to start with for now. :)
