Several regular base game skills can be learned as a child, like logic, video games, charisma, violin, fishing and more after the child skills are mastered. So some skills are barred from children, many can still be learned. So, it isn't necessarily a waist, but likely not guaranteed as a teen+ using it. I didn't even know a child could use the wishing well. Thanks for the heads up. I will give it a try next time I play to see what exact effect wishing for skills has on children. Any money wasted it easily replaced as money is pretty earned in the game. I know the family I will use to test has a casters. They basically have unlimited funds, so this will be fun.
