- Freshly-turned vampires would often remain transfixed on the spot where they transformed until they either figured out how to open an umbrella or I travelled away - in practice, one did burn up in such a manner, but in this run everyone survived.
- So many sims lost their ability to route properly and moonwalking became commonplace. Radu was mostly unaffected, but developed a tendency to shuffle his way towards his targets through any other sims in his way (and, in one case, a table) - the only other time I noticed an issue was when he managed to run through a wall...
- The animations for Eternal Sadness started to freeze Radu up, but resetting always fixed the issue (or just shoving an object over the top of him in build mode, 'cause that was generally much quicker)
- One sim's turning interaction got stuck in the queue for several sim hours after they'd actually been turned, even once they'd left the lot and even once Radu had travelled; a reload sorted it out.
- In the final four hours, clubs just straight-up stopped working. A gathering would last at most ten in-game minutes or so before automatically ending without anyone having shown up; had this occurred any earlier, I'd have thrown in the towel if reloading had turned out to be ineffective, but as it was I could just about potter to the finish line without them.
- Oh there was that one social event where two guests that were otherwise unoccupied refused to show up, even when invited over separately, for another three/four hours, but honestly that's just par for The Sims course...
Even factoring in the need to fight against the game here, I reckon 240's by no means the ceiling; it took me until the last two days to get the turning rhythm down (peaking at 42 turned on the final day), and I skipped 23 townies, not counting the final 8 from me simply running out of time. There's a pretty nasty limiting factor on all this, but despite my practice I didn't necessarily implement what I'd found out as effectively as I could have done... so yeah, 250-260 should be
doable, albeit very, very carefully and with the game fully co-operating... uh, maybe not so doable, then. Still, this is all conjecture based on my own strategy - I'm excited to find out how everyone else handled things, especially you Rainy - 146 by Tuesday 1am? I was nowhere near that by then...
(oh, and if this is the winning score, I should be a heck of a lot more prepared for explaining myself than last time!)
