Thanks.  I figure the only time I will be at the top of the score is if I get mine in first. ;)

Thanks for the advice re the broken shower.

I'm at the time of moving into my first townie house and I ran into an issue. I went here: https://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/tutorials/moving-sims.php and read through that, I also went https://au.ign.com/wikis/the-sims-4/Managing_Households and looked there. I saw the second one seemed to be different to my screen so went with the Carls version.

I went to the phone icon and went to move household, selected the townie household, and must have done something wrong because I moved, but also ended up with a whole lot of furniture in my inventory, which I suspect means I selected an incorrect option somewhere.

This has been a practice run, so something I need to correct before my scoring file. Assistance/advice would be appreciated, please.

@Deklitch looks like you forgot to check the box that sells all the furniture from your first house meaning you took your furniture with you.

Darn!  I should have waited to post!  But thanks -  I really had fun doing this one - stayed up way too late at night playing it!

I enjoyed this one also, at least until the last few days.  And my reign was always going to be short-lived :)

Wow, you guys got such great scores. :)

I am probably a bit paranoid here. Can I drag drinks and food that made by sims to trash can or to sell? Does that count as changing the lot, as once they are made they are placed in the lot? At the same time, dragging paintings to sim inventory is allowed but I just want to be extra sure. ???
Can I sell furniture made by sims and stored in the house inventory? Again, does it count as changing the lot?

I really hope you can drag food to the trash because I've been doing that and I've been selling paintings and things they create. I think it would be against the rules of changing the lot by putting woodcrafted items in the house or paintings on the walls.

Cooking food, doing the dishes, moving trash to a trash can is not changing a lot.
If you make a paiting and move it to your sims inventory its is also not changing the lot.
And things you created that are placed in the family inventory are also not changing the lot.

Adding new furnitures that is not part of the things we have stated you can buy would be adding to the lot. Same goes for skill things you create. So you cannot hang up a painting or place a tub you made with handiness.
(Food plates are the exception because they are not permanent, when you leave the house the household would clean that up.)
