Inventing career glitch or not?

My dynasty inventor makes a time machine when she sells it(through the sell panel not the consignment store)it says sell for $1840 when I check the career panel to check earning till next promotion thing.The amount of earnings goes up by around $5000. She does have the professional simoleans LTR but when I check what her other inventions sell for they actually sell for the price it says.
I have also had several occasions where she has left an invention maybe 5 percent complete gone to bed etc etc and come back to a completed invention.

Is this normal or have I just been incredibly lucky.

I can't comment on the sale amount but my inventor has had the inventions jump to 99% over night, but only after the inventing gnome was on the lot.  It never happened to her prior to the gnome.

I don't know if it's a glitch, but I read before (somewhere, can't remember) that sometimes the price of paintings can go up if you leave them on the wall for a while and don't sell them, and even when the painter dies. So I assume this could happen with inventions too, but I don't know how much the increase is. And about your mysteriously completed invention, I don't know about that one.

The natural appreciation of paintings every night at midnight is no glitch, but a built in game feature.

I was selling the inventions seconds after she finished them so there was no time for them to appreciate or depreciate.
