Magic Gnomes....What Are They Good For?

Ok, what is the purpose of the Magic Gnomes?  You can't do anything with them except kick them or name them. Several of the gems that my Sim has sent off to be cut, came back as Magic Gnomes, so now she has about 10 of them. I put 6 of them in the yard just to see what they would do and all I've noticed is that they'll go around the yard changing positions.

Is there any real purpose of the Magic Gnomes? Does anything bad happen if you kick them? Do they cause any damage to your house?

Nope they do absolutely nothing to your house...some have said if they stopped moving to kick them and they'll start moving some again.

Me, I have one in simmies' gardens then sell the rest...they can sell for up to $1000.

I think that's more or less all there is to it.
I've heard that if there are objects outside which can be used the gnome might use them but I haven't seen that myself.

I guess they're just kind of a gimmick, there was always gnomes in Sims games. Like in Sims 2 neighbors would always steal your gnomes and then you could go and steal them back.

Does anything bad happen if you kick them?

I believe you can torture gnomes entirely without consequences. Who doesn't want to kick garden gnomes anyway?

Yeah, after the novelty of finding out they move wore off...it's sad there isn't something else that happens.  Would have been more interesting if there were consequences for kicking your Gnome.

Like being sent to your room without dinner. So you can watch your sim sit on their bed and cry for hours.

That would be awesome! And funny. You could waddle around and talk to gnomes and sleep in the fridge and sing christmas carols and nibble on chairs... wow im really weird today.

So Buddy, do you have Gnomes from all the countries yet...I only have one from China, still have to get one from France and Egypt.  Then my Sim's collection will be complete.

I ended up selling all my gnomes. I had put them all in my yard and they kept getting into my garden and just generally annoying me, so I got rid of them. LOL

Unfortunately, that is the stupid thing about me. I don't even own the expansion pack. I've never even played it before. I want it for christmas. I just like discussing random things with whoever I can, even if what I am saying is completly inappropriate. Sorry for the disappointment I have given you.

@RockinRobin LOL, yeah they do get in the way, I only have one Sim who has about 18 of them right now...it's like their breeding or something.    Actually he keeps getting them in the mail now instead of the gems/metals.
