Craig bought me both Realm of Magic and Discover University for Christmas. I was going to install them when I was ready. Imagine my surprise when I opened my game only to find that Origin had auto-installed both packs. Grrr.
Yeah, once we purchase a pack, it auto-installs. I struggled with that--I couldn't disable them in Game Properties until they were done downloading.
Just keep them disabled until you have an heir ready for whichever content?

Our Sulani households making some similar choices is inevitable.
There are so many activities that fit so right in Sulani--same goes for careers and collections.
I know your heir takes a very different route than mine. Looking forward to seeing more! :)

Power of 10 - 7.39: So Long, Sulani!? (30 Dec update)
« Reply #256 on: December 30, 2019, 10:48:18 AM »
7.39: So Long, Sulani!

Friday, Week 41

After my 1st week as a teen learning some basic skills; I'm focusing this week on magic.
I move out empty-handed next Friday, I need to reach Master rank before then.

When I arrive at Magic HQ, I hear that L. Faba has passed away.
Her replacement is Rory Santiago. An Evil, Erratic Bookworm who works a part-time Fast Food job.
With those traits, does he really believe the service industry's his best choice?

While I'm befriending him, Freddy shows up in a new outfit.
Where'd that come from?

I train until reaching Adept rank, then go shopping at Casters Alley.
This trip, I've learned a good number of spells and some potion recipes.

Freddy reappears in yet another new outfit.
How nice that he's finally using the wand that I gave him!

I'd planned to head straight from Magic HQ to a yoga class with Freddy and Mocha.
But Mocha's aged up to an elder and Mama's got the Age-Down Treats.
We'll be hanging out at home tonight.

Now that Mocha's young and studly once more, I check our magic tomes.
Since I'm an Adept now, I can learn a few more spells and potions.

Saturday morning, Freddy and I visit the Yoga Studio.
Freddy manages to arrive already dressed in a bathrobe and slippers.
He must have changed in the backseat. I didn't hear a sound!

Oh, and as an experiment, we both drink a Potion of the Nimble Mind before yoga class.

But before then, we hear that Practical Magic Sage Simeon passed away.
Such sad news!

At Magic HQ, I train, shop, and socialize.
Of course, I find Freddy out back, dueling as usual.

Mocha: No worries, folks. This is just a friendly duel!

Mocha: Oops! Freddy stands up, gets on a broom, and flies off.
Bianca keeps getting a "See overcharged sim" message with Freddy's picture.
Is he okay?  Where did he go? We're both worried stiff.

Sunday, Week 42

Bianca: The next morning, I make a quick visit to Magic HQ and there's Freddy!
(Wearing yet another outfit!)

Though I'm still a teen, I rush over and give Freddy an autonomous kiss.
What a huge relief that he's safe!

It's hard to lose two sage friends within a day of each other.
I got cursed due to a failed potion then passed out, I guess.
Just let me lie here for a while, okay?

There's nothing like hugging Mocha to lift my spirits.

Back at Magic HQ, I meet the new Sage of Mischief Magic.
Alexandra Alvarez is an unemployed Evil, Creative Dance Machine.

We bond over art and music. Now teach me some spells, lady!

I keep getting that "See overcharged sim" message about Freddy.
To prevent him from dueling, I invite him to brew potions with me.

How I would love an outdoor space like this for brewing potions!
Maybe after I move out…

Monday, while Jaida and I attend school, Papa does me a favor.
He checks the Casters Alley shops for magical tomes.
Oddly, he finds adult Morgyn has been replaced by an elder sage.

No matter. After returning from school, I reach Master rank within an hour.

Back at Magic HQ, I'm so happy and relieved to find Morgyn here.
He spent hours training me yesterday and I'm so grateful!

In thanks, I offer him an excellent Potion of Rejuvenation. Looks like it worked!

As I'm leaving, I spot Freddy arriving in yet another outfit!
He's always here whenever he's not with me, it seems. Why?

Mocha: Um, because he's homeless?

Bianca: Understandably, Mocha's feeling anxious about moving.
Spoiled little fella has never lived in a household without a cat lover.

Mocha and I are already good friends. And soon, Freddy will love him, too!
And look! Mocha's all sparkly now cuz he's my familiar.

As our birthday approaches, I start wrapping up my life in Sulani.
I give a Potion of Immortality to my grandparents, parents, and twin sis Jaida.
Freddy and I each drink one, too..
Then we travel to Magic HQ, where I also give one to Morgyn.

Still at HQ, I train Freddy toward Master rank.
It's thanks to Freddy that Papa and I became Adepts.

By the way, I've got my heart set now on Freddy of the Thousand Outfits!
(Na, na na na na. Na na na na, na na na, na na na. Na na na na.)
Did you notice I didn't even visit Selvadorada for optional snack-hunting?

While mentoring Freddy, Mocha congratulates me on reaching Virtuoso rank.
So now Mocha, as my familiar, can send me messages? That's cute!

Jaida and I had wanted a birthday party but Papa's taking forever to eat his ambrosia!
I told him to eat it this afternoon; he seems to have gotten distracted by the Sulani Breeze.
(It's past midnight and he's still eating that same serving!)

My first aspiration will still be Purveyor of Potions.
I choose Cat Lover as my third trait.
Now Mocha will be able to say he's lived with four generations of Cat Lovers!

Incidentally, I gave the young adult Carlos Manning the magical works earlier.
You remember our gluttonous, music-loving child of the ocean?

I gave him a Potion of Rejuvenation and Potion of Immortality, then made him a spellcaster.
Then, Mama gives him a makeover while I'm, uh, busy.
Saving him for the next heir will probably be too much trouble, but who knows?

Just a sec, folks. I'm almost ready to move out.
Technically, this here still IS my bedroom, even though it's already recolored for Jaida.

Hey, you! Thanks for dashing over! *blows Freddy a kiss
Now, would you please move in and make an almost-honest witch out of me?
Pretty please, with a frog's eye on top?

Bianca's move-out requirements: 0/10
   1. Career: One guess…
   2. Unique skill: Flower Arranging 2
   3. Earned 5,225/10,000 satisfaction points
   4. Earned $2,605/$/$10,000:
   5. 4/10 good friends (including 2/2 non-human)
   6. 0/10 odd jobs
   7. 0/10 parties
   8. 2/10 emotional whims: Tense, Sad.
   9. 0/10 community lots for min. 2 hrs each
   10. 0/10-item collection: tbd

Up next: A Home and the Pitter Patter of Freezing Feet (Spring in Glimmerbrook is chilly!)

Watcher's Remarks
*Sages: Magic HQ: I'm deeply confused about the sage system. Since Morgyn works as a scientist,
I guess it makes sense that another Untamed Magic Saage replaces them during the day.
When my sims went there to meet Morgyn on Wednesday, Bianca met yet another Mischief Magic Sage.
I wonder if Rory Santiago was off working his part-time Fast Food job?
*Sulani Breeze: My Gen7 heir Keanu has the Child of the Island trait.
While in Newcrest, he frequently got a "Connection Denied" Sad moodlet (for not honoring the islands).
In Sulani, he got dangerously playful just about once a day from the two-day Sulani Breeze moodlet (for honoring the islands).
What an annoying, hair-raising mechanic for a Child of the Island who tries to honor his island culture.
*Earned Income weirdness: After Bianca moved out, Fab Wealthy showed that she'd earned $12,605.
She's worked 3-4 days in her life and never sold any harvestables or anything else from her inventory so I wonder if $10k comes from her starting funds.
To complete the $10k requirement, she'll need to earn $7395 more.

Love that Mocha became the familiar!!!!  I had hoped that would be what happened, but was trying not to push for it in case you wanted to go a different direction, but yes, very much loving that Mocha gets such an awesome role!
Also loved Jaida getting some love here.  Love both twins, for sure, but definitely feel sorry for the twin that gets left behind  :=(
Freddy and his thousand outfits!  that's hilarious and I love how you ran with it in the narration!  Looking forward to seeing this magical couple thrive and all the brilliance of the RoM pack played out for me before I bring that element into my Po10  ;=)  I always appreciate seeing the pro do it first!

Oddly, Mocha got sick every week while living in Brindleton Bay and I was worried about whether he'd make it to Glimmerbrook.
Happily, he didn't get sick even once in Sulani, which makes perfect sense since Brindleton Bay is pet-friendly while I had to add cat stuff to Sulani's community lots. *rolls eyes

I've only played RoM over the past week or so. Between Bianca and her father both learning how to magic, I just didn't have any narrative energy (or screenshot capacity) for Jaida.
As for Freddy and his many outfits, whenever my sims visited Magic HQ, Freddy would show up in an outfit we hand't given him in  his makeover.
I'm wondering how many readers even know that song, Land of a Thousand Dances. It's so old-school, and I might love Tina Turner's version.

Lol, I'm hardly a pro at RoM--just winging it but will hopefully figure more out by the time the next heir is born. (I spend lots of time googling *coughs)
Bianca's already reached the highest spellcaster rank possible. :)
Thanks for reading!

Power of 10 - 8.40: Glistening in Glimmerbrook (2 Jan update)
« Reply #259 on: January 02, 2020, 06:31:31 PM »
8.40: Glistening in Glimmerbrook

Friday, Week 42

Bianca: I've just moved Freddy into my household.
The first thing I do, of course, is peek at his….um…
Well, what do you think? His skills and spellbook, of course!

Freddy has maxed Fishing, Logic, and Painting.
Though almost at Master rank, he  hardly knows any spells and potions.
Let's go back to Sulani. My parents own a bunch of magic tomes!

Freddy reads 7 or 8 magical tomes, while I do bits and pieces of various aspirations.
I also gain a new good friend, which doesn't bother Freddy in the least.

And, in case you were wondering, magical tomes DID count for Freddy's Nerd Brain!

While on our first date to San Myshuno's Art Quarters, Freddy visits the produce stand.
We'd been planning on a daughter, but Watcher is pushing for a male heir.

The reason? Watcher says Freddy is cuter than I am. As if! *rolls eyes

Freddy invites me on a second date to Windenburg's Von Haunt Estate.
As soon as we walk through the door, Freddy drops to one knee and proposes.

He is obviously eager to put a ring on it.
But then, who am I kidding? So am I!

As pagan spellcasters, we've no desire for a church wedding and all that jazz.
Beneath the Estate's wedding arch, we exchange vows of eternal love.
You're all mine now, baby boy. Jealous heart, slender bod, wicked grin, and everything else!

By the time we get home, it's nearly midnight.
Watcher has built us a home which feels a bit cramped.
Perhaps we can add a basement floor later?

And what's with the mismatched white porch pillars and fencing?  Yuck!

Bianca: The house is barely furnished and we still have so much to do!
But is there nothing to be done with your name, darling?

Freddy: My parents named me Frederico…
Bianca: Perfect! I shall call you Rico!

By noon the next day, Watcher's made some progress with remodeling.
Thankfully, the stupid white porch stuff is gone!
And the house is a slightly different shade of green now. (whispers: but still ugly...)

We like the way the great room's windows admit so much sunlight during the day!

And our upstairs cauldron room is also coming together.
But the rest of the house is mostly bare.

Morgyn: I don't mind coming along since I'm off weekends, but why fishing?
Bianca: We need a cowberry and garden fertilizer.
So I was hoping you and Rico could get to know each other better.
Rico: ....

Sunday, Week 43

Bianca: Dang it, I ignored my alarm clock for work!
Now I can't work from home today.
Oh well. Might as well show up on my first day of work.  *waddles off

I bring home a promotion today and branch to Floral Designer.
Since I love the outdoors, I had this room built with 1.5 walls open to nature.

My body doesn't feel like I'm outdoors, though.
I'm just like a plant--no "Fresh Air! moodlet as long as there's a roof over my head.

Note the optimistic placing of two bassinets!

Yes! We welcome twin boys to our household.
Our firstborn Claude is the next heir. Just think, Claude's firstborn will be the last heir of this dynasty!
His younger brother's name is Pablo.

We've partially removed the roof over my workroom and the cauldron.
My room looks a bit odd, but it's so worth it!

Now I can enjoy "Fresh Air!" whenever I arrange flowers or brew potions.

We spend hours at Magic HQ.
Rico's trying to learn as many spells and potions as he can before our sons' next birthday.

The other day, I had to ask Morgyn to leave our house due to Rico's jealousy.
If I'm not around, though, the two of them get along just fine.

I'd somehow believed that black hair would be the dominant gene.
Imagine my delight when two redheads leap out of their bassinets!

Firstborn Claude ages up with that curly hairstyle.
Sorry, Pablo, you'll need to switch hairstyles with your brother.
The heir always get the newest cool coif.

Born with the Strong Bloodline trait, the boys are both charmers.
They are identical twins, except that Claude is slightly paler than Pablo.

Bring on the toddler training!

Watcher's Remarks

*The house:  Among all of this dynasty's houses, I spent the least time planning the Glimmerbrook house.
I was just Too eager to move to Glimmerbrook and get started.
It's an ugly house, but I hope to improve the interior layout over time.
The exterior is…hopeless.

*Potion of Immortality: Sims that imbibe a Potion of Immortality spend the rest of their eternal lives with a visually annoying shimmer and infinity symbol around their neck.
Couldn't they have a less obtrusive sign of their immortality? *sighs

*CAS thumbnails (or whathever they're called): During the toddlers' makeover, I saved the household to MyLibrary.
In Sulani, both Bianca and Jaida showed a doubled image in their CAS household thumbnails.
And now, so do Claude and Pablo.
Does anyone know what causes this? It must be related to the bloodline traits.
I checked several sims/households on the Community Gallery, but only saw this doubled-image thing for aliens, vampires, and mermaid.
(Maybe I should create a new forum topic to ask….)

Thank you for reading!

Freddy is cuter?  I think not!  Bianca looks like Jaida and Jaida is just lovely!!
The house is cute and has personality and I like how it's just morphing as time goes on  :=)  You should do a before and after shot of the house when Claude is ready to move out  :=)

Ah, the neck immortality symbol thing. I'm mostly interested to see if it actually keeps your sims alive. Dear Kyle Whitman swigged off one such potion as an elder -- we wanted him abducted as you remember -- but when I switched households for a day, he died of old age anyway. It's likely that was patched. So I'm absolutely on tenterhooks.

The gorgeous circular windows. I can't ever seem to fit them in nicely, but they are so pretty. I rather like the shade of green! At no point did it seem out of place.

Bianca's eye makeup is a great touch, in case that needs saying and acknowledging. The sages in shifts is still baffling, but I'm glad someone holds fort while Morgyn is out. I admit I've long wondered about getting Morgyn abducted. It's the only way to get an Ember child (if it would work).

So Claude Monet and Pablo Picasso?
It is a little thing of my own. I call it "Heart Foam". I shall not publish it. Farewell! Patience, Patience, farewell!

Exit Bunthorne.

Oh my goodness!!  What adorable twins!!
Freddy is cuter?  I think not!  Bianca looks like Jaida and Jaida is just lovely!!
The house is cute and has personality and I like how it's just morphing as time goes on  :=)  You should do a before and after shot of the house when Claude is ready to move out  :=)
The house exterior is such a problem--the more I tweak it, the worse it gets, haha!
The interior will definitely change, though, so thank you for that suggestion!
As for Jaida, I had to remove her from the "extended family" club---she was constantly chatting up Rico/Freddy and disrupting his action queues.

So Claude Monet and Pablo Picasso?
I read up on the Potion of Immortality around the internet before trying it. My conclusion is that it prevents death but not ageing.
The only non-household sim that I would seriously like to keep alive would be Morgyn Ember. I'll let you know what happens to Bianca's parents & grandparents.

As for the sages, I'm pretty certain now that Magic HQ provides "substitute sages" whenever my sims visit while either Morgyn the Scientist or Rico the Fast Food Employee are off working.
It seems odd to me that serving as the Magic HQ's sage can't be a full-time job. *shrugs
As for Ember children, wouldm't you need to change Morgyn's pregnancy setting first?

I'm astonished how quickly you guessed the twins' namesakes, without even a single hint!
The names reflect the Gen9 heir's future collection, but how did you know that?  Telepathy? You impress me!

Power of 10 - 8.41: Pries Party Rock (15 Jan update)
« Reply #263 on: January 15, 2020, 02:40:26 PM »
8.41: Pries Party Rock

Pablo the spare (left) and the Gen9 heir Claude (right)

Wednesday, Week 43

Rico: Bianca says it makes the most sense that I narrate this week.
I don't mind. I'm always home with the boys, you know.

In fact, Bianca has the day off today so we're killing time until…

Ze Toddler Play Date!
Why do we let our boys run around in no-pants party outfits, you ask?

Because these twins aren't ours..
They're Bianca's brothers: Albert and Marcus.

The current and future heirs are flying high!

We've invited all the living heirs and their spouses.
Grandma Kahlua (the Gen6 heir), doesn't look too happy.
My mother-in-law, Carmen (the Gen7 spouse) looks gorgeous, as usual.

Kahlua's husband Kengo is our dynasty's only blonde parent so far.
And that's his son, Keanu. He's the Gen7 heir and my father-in-law.

You no doubt remember my wife's relatives, but a l'il refresher never hurts.

And here is my wife's sister, Jaida.
She's persona non grata in our Glimmerbrook home because, well, it's obvious.
Doesn't she realize the brother-in-law (me) is off-limits?

Back to the adorable foursome.
Right, our boys are the ones wearing pants.
Funny how their hairstyles match.

It's time to call this play date a wrap and head home!

The next evening, we throw a dinner party.
Bianca spends the last two hours telling jokes that don't count.
I barely finish preparing the dessert in time. Whew!

During this party, Bianca also makes her seventh good friend.
Neither of us recognize this lady at first.
It's Alexandra Alvarez, the new Sage of Practical Magic, dressed to party down..

And look who wanders into the dining area just as the party ends!
Dear little Claude, your timing is impeccable.

Spring Fest begins Saturday at 6 am sharp.
Claude and Pablo immediately start hunting for eggs
As you can see, they take the egg hunt very seriously!

By 8:14 am, the twins have miraculously completed the egg collection.
Excellent job, boys!
I gladly bid farewell to my incomplete postcard collection.

We're all so caught up in the Spring Fest excitement that we completely forget:
Claude should avoid earning extra satisfaction points.
But Bianca and I don't have the heart to stop him from having fun.

Sunday, Week 44

This morning, Bianca accidentally chooses to work from home.
It's the first time in a while that I get to practice magic.

Took me a while to figure out that I need to duel with 3 different spellcasters.
Oops, sorry Papa Keanu! Thanks for the magical artifact!

To become both a Slinger of Spells and Master Mixer of potions, I only need to reach Virtuoso rank!
I'm nearly there already, so I spend the rest of the evening brewing potions.

Meanwhile, Bianca  makes the most of her day off by maxing her unique skill.

If Bianca had gone to work today she would have received her Level 9 promotion.
On the other hand, it's great that she can start her collection now.

You know, I've never loved anyone but Bianca so I'm not sure how this jealousy thing works.
I'd heard that I'd get tense from being in a different room from Bianca.
This arrangement feels fine to me, though, even though we're not in the same room.

I can't wait to see how our twins age up into children.
Will they look even a little like me?

Monday evening, Bianca completes her collection of 10 flower arrangements.
Its total value is $56,847.
That's another requirement done and dusted!

Tuesday night, after the boys fall asleep, we throw a Kava Party at Sand Simoleon Beach.
Bianca gets over-relaxed from drinking too much kava and pops her 10th emotional whim.
Dazed - Take a nap.  Yay!
(And, yes, she deliberately drank to get Dazed.)

The boys' birthday party at the Shrieking Llama Bar starts late and gets hectic.
This is the only shot I've taken of the party: the birthday boys, after their makeovers.

After we get home, I take some more shots of the boys.
They're in the upstairs cauldron room.

Pablo seems to take after his grandfather Rafael. What do you think?
I was worried Claude might resemble a chipmunk, but he's turned out all right.

Bianca's requirements: 5/10
📌 1. Unique career: Floral Designer 9
✔️ 2. Unique skill: Flower Arranging 10
✔️ 3. Earned 10k satisfaction points: yes
✔️ 4. Earned $10,000: yes
📌 5. 7/10 good friends (4/2 non-human)
📌 6. 3/10 odd jobs
📌 7. 4/10 parties: Toddler play date, Dinner, Kava, Birthday, 6 more.
✔️ 8. 10/10 emotional whims
📌 9. 7/10 community lots for min. 2 hrs each
✔️10. 10/10-item collection: Flower Arrangements (Pink Orchids x 10/$56,847)

Watcher's notes
The Power of 10 Dynasty Challenge ends when the tenth-generation heir completes all ten requirements.
Since Bianca is the Gen8 heir, I'm currently 2.5 sets of requirements and two more moves (Gen9 and Gen10) away from the finish line.
I'm starting to lose steam, but hope to take this Pries Dynasty home before too long. I'm hoping Claude will provide some momentum...

Claude is such a handsome young scamp and he wears that hairstyle so well!!
Shocking to think you're already so close to being finished!
Loved having the little montage of family members!  Jaida is still a favorite and Rico should have been flattered by her attention  ;=)

I took what I thought was a short break from the sims, and somehow managed to miss an entire generation! All caught up now though. I really enjoyed all that happened in Sulani, the baby turtles were a particular highlight.

I don't know what you're talking about saying the current house is ugly, I love the green paired with the stone and the little balconies are really cute! Is Bianca's career and skill related to her being magic in any way? Are there spells that make flower arranging easier?

As for losing steam, do you think you'll send Claude to university for a bit of a change? I've been playing it in a separate file to see if I wanted to send Kit and I find it really fun.

8.42: Tormented Heart

Thursday, Week 44

Rico: The first day of our sons' childhood is bleak and gloomy.
Or perhaps this is usual spring weather in Glimmerbrook?

We are greeted first thing by a blue, red-nosed Mocha.
Last week, I'd bought some Wellness Treats for the furry fella.
Let's see if I can get away without learning the Vet skill, shall we?

Success! Mocha's illness is no more!
I hear Kengo muttering about doing several operations on Mocha back in the day.
Thankfully, Wellness Treats aren't glitched anymore! (Maybe)

Bianca maxes her Floral Designer career this afternoon.
Time to quit that career and focus on those odd jobs, dear!

On Friday, Bianca and I decide to downsize our garden.
She doesn't need all those flowering plants anymore.
We'd like to build a third bedroom upstairs for Claude plus a magical study.

That evening, we throw a house party.
It looks like a successful bash!
Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves, right?

Wrong! I'm suffering from jealous pangs again!
Does Bianca need to hug everyone?

She still needs to throw five more parties. Hmmmm….
Maybe she could take care of the food and drinks while I socialize with the guests?

I've moved our magical ingredients into Bianca's former workspace.

Saturday, we take the boys to Magnolia Blossom Park after Scouts.
That's Claude with Bianca's younger brother Albert.
Somehow, Claude makes his three child-age friends before Pablo can make even one.

Pablo: I was unlucky! That first girl I met was gloomy!
She took forever to befriend!

Bianca: Sssshh, while Rico's busy fishing, I make my 8th good friend tonight.
This is Averie Summer and she's a high-school student.

Yes, I know what you're thinking…she's quite lovely.
She's also mean, so….

Claude: Where are we, Papa?
Rico: This is Casters Alley, son. We're just gonna check the magical tomes real quick.
Claude: For when I'm a  teen?
Rico: Yep. And for even later.

Sunday, Week 45

In the morning, Claude then Pablo earn their last badge!
That same afternoon, Bianca completes her 10th odd job, too.

That evening, we throw an Incognito Party at Salty Paws Saloon to celebrate.
Bianca seem to be losing her touch with social events.
Or maybe she never had a flair for hosting parties in the first place?

In the time it takes me to cook a hamburger cake, she's only complimented four costumes.

I help out by complimenting six more costumes and brewing coffee.
Just before the party timer runs out, I finish the last goal (cook a high-quality meal).

In view of her poor socializing and my jealousy, maybe I should be the front man?

Just because I'm busy painting indoors, Bianca thinks I don't know.
But I know very well. Yes, indeed, I do.
She's waaaaaay over on the other side of Glimmerbrook, trying to make another good friend.
I'm gritting my teeth and waiting till she gets back. I shall say nothing.

Once the boys are back from school, we all head out for the Hare & Hedgehog Café.
Bianca invites along a elderly friend named Samaria Paewal.
She's hoping to make her 10th good friend during her 10th community lot visit.

When Bianca begins chatting with Samaria, I shock even myself.
I sit fuming in the corner, shouting in a loud voice, "Neeb!  Neeb!"

My mind know perfectly well that Bianca loves only me.
But seeing her chatting with someone else, laughing, touching even innocently…
It drives me crazy.
I know I'm being irrational. I can't explain.

Dance party at Pan Europa Discotheque!
This'll be the last party until the boys' teen birthday party next, next Thursday.

We're still at Pan Europa.
My boo's making up to me cuz all the friending and parties have been tormentng my heart.
Three more parties to go.  *sighs

Pablo: Why are we here again?
Rico: Trying to catch angelfish so I can prepare Ambrosia.
Claude: Sulani is way cooler than Glimmerbrook!
Rico: Hush, Claude. Glimmerbrook is the Magical Mothership.

Rico: Wow, that TV Premiere took forever to finish watching!
Claude: Why'd you ask Great-Grandma Kahlua to leave, Mama?
Bianca: She kept switching to the Cooking Channel. Her cooking is maxed! *rolls eyes

It's been a bit hard for Mocha these days, too.
But Claude and Mocha become friends today.

Mocha gets more love when the stay-at-home spouse, not the heir, is the cat lover of the house.

Mocha: The boys have run out things to do, so we travel to Selvadorada on Thursday for a 3-day vacay.
Claude and Pablo play chess, play music, and fish.
Not sure that sounds much like a vacation. Ain't that just business as usual?

Mocha: I understand Rico very well now, I believe.
He's only truly happy when he has Bianca all to himself!
Jealous sims are so high-maintenance!

In Rico's defense, though, he's worked really hard to support Bianca and the dynasty.
And when he's not jealous, he's close to perfection.

Mocha: Not naming names, but some are enjoying this here vacay more than others.
But just wait! The twins will be teens in five more days.
That's when things will get exciting again!

But now? My life's a thrill a minute! *snores

I really love Sulani. It's so beautiful and there's so much to see and do there!
As for Bianca's Floral Designer career and Flower Arrangement skill, I gave her a green witch spin so her gardening would make sense as a spellcaster in Glimmerbrook.
No spells to boost her unique skill, but she did consume one Potion of Nimble Mind which gives a 4-hr skilling boost.
Otherwise, there's no shortcut to leveling the flower arrangement skill: just line up a few flower arrangement tables then make the arrangements one at a time.

I still haven't decided whether or to send Claude to uni or not. Part of me wants to spend the extra 3 weeks with Claude because he's so cute.
But Claude's child will be the dynasty's tenth generation, so I might just want to finish my P10 challenge.
Haha, it really depends on teenage Claude. Tbh, I have yet to play-test DU yet, so maybe I should do that before I decide, lol,

Oh, hurry and send Kit to uni so I can follow Kit and learn! :)

Team Averie, reporting for duty!  Sure she's mean, but just look at her loveliness!  And think of all the fun you'll have writing her as being mean to everyone but Claude!  It'll be great!  Go, Team Averie!!
Oh, and nice update  :=)  I really enjoyed how you voiced the jealousy throughout for Rico and his tormented heart.  Makes me wonder how such an update would sound coming form a mean Sim  :=)
The scene where Rico took Claude to Caster's Alley reminded me of the scene from Lion King where Mufasa shows Simba the Pride Lands and how everything the light touches will be his.
Excellent work and looking forward to more...as always  :=)
