You can get the plant Sim seeds from Patchy or in rare seed packs. I have pretty good luck getting the UFO plant through rocket missions. I haven’t gotten one from a festival in forever. I think the emotion berries are a year-round harvestable. Have you gotten the money fruit?

We have those magic beans but not the Forbidden Fruit. Don't I need to get Forbidden Fruit from the Magic Portal Tree?
Ugh, Mia has made tons of space missions in vain and so I've started daughter Zoe on the space missions instead.
It's fine. They don't have to do everything during the first generation. No visits to Selvadorada yet, either.
As for money fruit, Erwin and Mia bought two each. ;)

Yes, you just buy the tree base, add your beans and travel through the portal.

I hate how big that Magic Portal Tree is! Of course, it can just be sold after obtaining and planting the Forbidden Fruit....

Magic Portal Fruit?  Time for a pm with questions.
Now, getting serious, what is the obsession with alienboos?  While it's very obvious that Senior Pollination Technician #3 has a "thing" for Erwin, really she needs to either get over it and stop messing with his wife's heart, or.....maybe she should see a Pollination Fertility Physician and get herself "improved", but poor Erwin is sounding really, really desperate.  I just don't understand when he has such a wonderful wife at home.  True, she can't produce an alienboo, but so what?  And really, would you want an alienboo with that chin?  Personally, I don't particularly want an alienboo, (and just watch me produce one as the game loves to spite us), and don't understand the desire for one.
I absolutely love how your lot is laid out and want to see more pics please.  I notice you have only one of each kind of plant?  I think I really need to downsize my garden as it is getting out of control with two of each plant, and four of those that need to be grafted onto.  So many plants, so little time.

What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Joria, I casually wanted Erwin to give birth to an alienboo at first. Now I find it comical how many times he gets abducted without getting pregnant.
I find everything about Erwin so lovable. So, yes, I would love for Erwin to have a baby. It's my game!

I actually have fewer than one of each plant, except for dragonfruit, orchids, and money trees.
Several pairs of plants of the same category (mostly common+common) have been spliced.
Also, some plants get moved to family inventory once they reach perfect quality.
The household doesn't need every plant; I'm just experimenting and relearning.
My sims (except the heir) all have the Free Services trait--they hire a gardener to tend the garden every weekday.
No more bee bonding or collecting honey, either.

Thank you for the nice words about the lot layout. It has worked very well and I hope I can also make it work on Wynn's 30x30 lot.

@Joria
I should add that when a future heir of mine joins the Floral Designer career, we'll probably start out with multiples of the plants required for floral arrangements.
Until we've built enough of a stock not to buy flowers anyway. :)

It's what I did.  I also got three of the arranging tables so I just go down the line, make arrangements, go back and sell, rinse and repeat.  It's nice having the flowers to hand but I'm still missing an important one, lilies.

@oshizu Have you had the event where half a dozen aliens arrive on the lot? I had that last night with Kyle.
It is a little thing of my own. I call it "Heart Foam". I shall not publish it. Farewell! Patience, Patience, farewell!

@Heart Foam

Yes, the aliens visited on many of the nights when Erwin wasn't abducted.
I shared a shot of one of Erwin's parties at which the aliens showed up and crashed it. They sat down at the table with food and drinks as if they'd been invited, lol!

I'm really enjoying your story.  There are some sims I would just never think of playing.  Erwin is one of those and I'm so glad you picked him!  He's turned out to be a great choice.  I'm really liking the whole doppelganger bit.  It's too bad, though, about the no-alien-nooboo.  Although I will say that in all of my playing, I have never had even one sim come back from an abduction pregnant.

Thank you for reading, @GlazeyLady
As usual, it's not much of a story as I'm mainly documenting the journey of my dynasty of sims. ;)
I didn't plan on the doppelganger angle, but Erwin is a hidden household in-game so I had to start a game with a different sim who added Erwin to his household, so I could split Erwin into his own household and add him to My Library. Then, I started a new game and plucked Erwin from My Library.
If only I'd had the time to build him a proper prepper's bunker!!!!
I've only had a sim pregnant from abduction during dynasty challenges; the game does that to me so I can't move in a spouse or let my heir give birth to twins. It's quite maddening!
When that's not the case, as with Erwin, I get nada.

1.7: A Hectic Final Week

Week 7, Sunday afternoon

Mia: Now that I'm eating for two, I hope you'll give up that nonsense.
Erwin: Nonsense? What nonsense?
Mia: About having a child with that horrid Senior Pollination Tech #3! *retches
Erwin: Oh, right. Uh huh.

Wut? Tummy sparkles!?

There's a conspicuous lack of viable spouse prospects at Rattlesnake Juice Bar.
All the male sims there are out of the question, including two pear-shaped fellas not in this image.
Wynn and Ukupanipo get along well but isn't he too old for her? What are his traits again?

Being erratic is convenient. When sims around me get boring, I just talk to myself.
That dark, handsome sim behind me? He's an active foodie and klepto.
He's also a bar regular. Definitely not for Wynn!

It seems I've put on a little weight lately.
Must be all the hors d'oeuvres from my recent parties.

My neighbors and that food stall vendor think I don't know.
But I hear their constant whispering as they talk smack about me.

The other day, I brought my inventions home from The Lab.
Since I already have another set at home, I'm donating  my lab set to Desert Bloom Park.
The rocket ship is nice, but I prefer traveling to Sixam with my family.

Here's a recent shot of our home from the garden side, in case you're curious.
The small building on your right has 2 toilets and a shower for our guests.
There's a lot of wasted space in the yard, but I've done enough for my generation.

On the first floor, Wynn and Zoe's bedroom has reverted to the nursery.
We've built them a new bedroom downstairs next to our master bedroom.
Two additional bathrooms make a total  of six. You can never have too many bathrooms!

Mia: Why has your belly gotten so huge, Erwin?
Erwin: Relax, it's just a beer belly.
Mia: You don't even drink beer!

Zoe insists on finishing her Renaissance Sim aspiration before Wynn moves out.
So they both quit their Retail job and start working as Fry Cooks.

I've taken the day off today. It's been so relaxing to just hang around!
Perhaps I'll quit my job for good soon.

What the heck, Mia! Twins, seriously?
You couldn't just have one? *sighs
Folks, meet Mathew and Mark.

Later that night finds me at the hospital.

I name my beautiful child Stella for obvious reasons.

Incidentally, I'm convinced that our world is trolling me!
After all my abductions, why did I notice tummy sparkles only after Mia persuaded me to try for baby? Why?!

Wynn: On Thursday, we visit Selvadorada, where I meet the handsome Vicente Lara..

Mother and Zoe keep disrupting my convo with Vicente so I invite him to the Alam Museum.
Hey, Vicente is my new BFF!

Wynn: Can you believe Zoe? After Vicente and I return to the Cantina, I go to order a drink.
Naturally, Zoe saunters up to him in her swimsuit, feeling Very Flirty.
Giiiirrrllll, I am NEVER inviting you over after I move out!

Erwin: Our twin sons are toddlers.
Mark on your left has my jaw, green eyes, and droopy eyebrows. Future ladykiller, right there!
Mathew resembles Zoe as a toddler, except with red hair.

Stella ages up very late that same day.
In her alien form, she has my jawline and droopy eyes.
But in human disguise, she has black hair and resembles Mia. That makes no sense at all!

By now, you are probably wondering if Wynn will ever move out!

Oh, Stella! If only you had been born sooner!

Wynn: Look how cute Mark is! I'm hoping my heir will look just like him!
By the way, Watcher, isn't this update 'sposed to be about my moving out?
It's all baby photos!
W: Hey, blame your parents!

Wynn is now a cheerful, music-loving young adult who loves the outdoors!

I just need a little time to finish my ambrosia and share Age-Away Serums with a few friends of mine.
As soon as that's done, Wynn will be moving out!
Oh look, there goes my little Stella in her human disguise!

Move-out requirements : 10/10 (Completed the previous week)

Watcher's Remarks
*Erwin was the best founder. I am sad to leave him behind!
*On the other hand, I really didn't enjoy how complicated Erwin's last week became, due to the new household additions.
Wynn and I are very glad to be leaving that household behind!
*It is so exciting to be moving to a new town! I'm also grateful to be able to add toddler potties to community lots and rentals.
Adding a few more types of community lots will also be great. Squeeeeee!

Coming next: Wynn's New Everything!

Oh, wow! I had an idea of what was coming when you said Mia's pregnancy backfired on you. Stella and the twins are just adorable, though. I hope you're saving Erwin and Stella to your library.

Wynn is smart to keep Zoe away from her future spouse. This was a great update!

Yes!!!! Triumph! Stellar effort.

I like her pointy ears. And Wynn has a nice set of traits, and Good Character. So that's also good. But that house must've got mad with three toddlers. Very much looking forward to the next world.

I feel for you with three toddlers in the house! Well done for completing your first gen, I’m looking forward to Wynn’s story!
