Really don't worry guys, this is not an automated submission system. Everything that goes up has to pass through my hands, so if I don't know the member you can be sure I'm going to install it and make sure it works.

Ausette, I appreciate that. We need to fill out those less-used categories like accessories. I only have 2 submissions thus far, both houses. I think I am going to do these in batches of five or six uploads. I don't want to open my webmaster tools multiple times each day unless I'm bored.

Carl, love, first of all thank you so much for doing this!  I can't imagine you having much time left in your day the way you pamper us so much.  It is such a blessing to have not only the most informative guide in the world but also a great, friendly, family oriented place in which to share our ideas and meet new friends.  Now an "exchange" of our own!  WOW!

Ok, when you are talking about clothes, accessories, furniture etc. you really are talking about recolors of items made by EA, am I correct?  Things you'd find in CAS or store bought, or freebie items?

Houses would be like when we upload our creations in the Building Construction section of the forum?  The forum might be a good place to share more details about houses we're uploading to our "exchange", and more photos, so it wouldn't particularly clog up the download pages.  We could use fewer descriptions on the exchange page and just put in anything extra we felt we should share on the forum pages.  Would this make it easier for you or just redundant?

I have a, yet to be shared, house I'd been planning on uploading to my studio but I'd much rather just share it here.  When I am going to share to my studio it's pretty simple to do.  How do I share it via email to you?  PC illiterate here.  I use Picasa to store and edit a lot of my screenies and family photos and I'm pretty sure I can email directly from there but is there a certain format I'd need to use.  File type is what I mean, like gif or jpeg, or whatever.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Thank you so much Carl - This is going to be fantastic! :)
Love the fact that everything is going to be safe for all of us to download so as not to cause problems with our games and how much fun it'll be browsing through all this good stuff!

Thanks again,  Happy and Safe New Years to everyone!

I'd also like to hear everyone's suggestions for a name other than "exchange" because it will be great if we are able to have a name completely different from the official Sims 3 Exchange.

How about
Carl's Sims3 Dealership. I am sure if we get Recipe Man a cowboy hat he could do an infomercial.

Haha! He could be the mascot!

As for names, I just plugged the word 'exchange' into thesaurus.com. How does Wall Street sound?  :P Nah, I was thinking more along the lines of Something Centre. Download Centre? Upload Centre?

Hello All:
I'm new on the forums but I thought I would offer my help.
I have been working with HTML, PHP, and MySQL for some time now and would be willing help with the back end of this system if needed. Let me know if you need any assistance.
