The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack Coming September 10th PC

Anyway another update. Not much news this time. Fun snake in the screen shot. Nothing new though as it looks like the one from JA to me.

I want to say that the excitement level I am feeling about Realm of Magic has gone up big time. I took a look at the pictures that @Carl the Magnificent webmaster has put up on the front page, and it is EXACTLY how I picture a realm of magic should look ... rocky outcrops floating in mid air ... being able to choose to use either wands or hands for spellcasting ... curses being able to negatively impact the spellcaster for a while if spells misfire ... oh joys!

I haven't been this excited about a game expansion being released since Civilization VI released their expansion that allowed the glorious Australian empire to be played in Civilization for the first time ever without the player having to rename an existing civilization and its leaders to Australian type of names.

I'm still less than enthusiastic about the name of Glimmerbrook, but the visuals of the rest of it seems to put that to one side for me.

Now, if spellcasters can transform into wolves and owls ... I will be able to create my own adventures of Belgarath and Polgara from the David/Leigh Eddings Belgariad and Mallorean series of books.

Now they just need to bring a bit of love to the sci fi series that has been around for longer than man who has walked on the moon, Star Trek or sword play or both combined. I don't ask for much, I know.

But you can have a wolf (custom made dog with Cats and Dogs) and owl as a familiar. So that is something but will not likely work for your goal. I don't know never read the books.

Sci-fi would be fun in sims. But they only attempted a futuristic world once with the Sims 3 expansion Into the Future and it didn't have a Star Trek feel. But here is hoping. I too would love that. By the way I am an American and I was glad to see Australian nation get there do. They were fun to play as well. But I am more excited for this pack then any Civilization expansion. I am even excited about Glimmerbrook. The world looks great. 11 more days

*Runs around screaming and flailing* Does that answer your question? But seriously, SUPER DUPER EXCITED!!!! I LOVE Occults, magic and anything supernatural, both in real life and in the Sims, I have waited 5 years for Witches and Magic to return and it's finally here!  I feel like I can finally create my true Simself, *sobs*words cannot express ...

What are your plans for the pack?

EVERYTHING! I plan on casting every spell and curse, I will catch every familiar (Gotta catch 'em all!), gain every power and brew every potion. I will wreck havoc on the Sim world, I'm looking forward to turning Sims into toads, crushing all my opponents in every magic duel and eventually achieving world domination! The power, the absolute power! Mwahahahaha! (Kudos to anyone who gets that reference).

What are you most excited for?

Magic, being able to weave spells, hex my enemies, hold magic dueling tournaments, brew potions that bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses and of course being able to customize my Spellcaster. Let's not forget world domination, that's on the list too.

Are there anything that disappoints you that you read?

It's a shame that Alchemy/Potion Making isn't a skill, I feel it should be, it was in the Sims 3, it was my favourite too, it's a pity that Broom Riding Arenas won't be returning, we really do need some more community lots in the game. Aside from that, not really.

I am SO buying this when it first comes out, if they give us the level of customization, gameplay and depth that Vampires brought us, then this pack will be awesome! It may even surpass Vampires as my favourite game pack.

I am excited for the new death as I collect ghosts, but I already new about it and even what it is.

I'm pretty excited for this. It's not 100% like I expected, but I'm glad there's a magical bloodline trait. Now I can finally do a magic-themed legacy challenge!

I was hoping Maxis monthly would have something but sadly no new Realm of Magic info today.  Nothing on the site, no new tweets on Realm of Magic stuff nothing. Oh well there is alway hope for more tomorrow. I thought the game play trailer would coming out today. I guess I was wrong.

As far I as I know, they are going to do a September 6 look at gameplay, at least I thought I read it somewhere. I will see if I can dig up the tweet, but it will take a while to confirm as I am still at work.

@Shewolf13 Yes Sept. 6 11:00 AM PT there will be a Realm of Magic Livestream. That is not what I am talking about. A lot of Game packs in the past have received two official trailers (Announcement, and gameplay) and a livestream. We have a announcement trailer and on the 6th we are getting the livestream on the 6th, I was hoping like past game packs we would also be getting a gameplay trailer but that look like it will not be the cast this time. The gameplay trailer is much like the announcement trailer but longer and with more footage of actual gameplay. It is not like the livestream going into details of actual play. No biggie but I hoping for some details or screenshots or something to come out so we could drool over the coolness. Sadly it gas been scary silent today about Realm of Magic. I can understand this in a way as the stuff they showed us in the Maxis Monthly was so cool, but Realm of Magic is w week away and now is the time to stoke that fire and get us in a frenzy of excitement so we hand them all our cash (or at least $20 US).

Who Am I joking, They already sold me. I will likely have to wait a few days after release do to reasons but I will have this pack. I must have it. I am already addicted and I haven't even seen actual play yet. Still I need them to feed my excitement. Where is my twitter screenshots and cryptic hints? I needs them. Precious, I need precious, they keeps its from me. They hide precious froms me curse them. Precious....

Bahahahahah! lol I think that may be why they did that. Because of the anniversary content, they wanted folks to be excited for that and I already know so many are excited for Realm of Magic. I think they are trying to walk a fine line lol Love that pic btw.
