10th Anniversary Scavenger Hunt & Party

Goal
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Carl's Guide and Forum (August 31st), we're having a party! (Challenge Team members, from left to right: Trip, Metropolis Man, sdhoey, MarianT, LenaLJ.) To join the party, you need to go on a Scavenger Hunt first and then throw your own gold-medal party. Here's your Simself's list:

3. Knight of the Octagon Table Suit of Armor
4. The Slablet
5. Gary Giraffe
6. Gnome Matter What, I'm Still Your Baby
7. Royal Embrace Table Lamp
8. Country Cockerel
9. Pied Piper Acoustic Guitar
10. Ode to Jazz 5: "Ivory"

All the items can be found in Oasis Springs or Willow Creek, but you can pick them up anywhere. Keep track of where you find them, but don't include that when you report your score.

General Challenge Rules
The General Challenge Rules always apply. If applicable, exceptions will be noted below.

Specific Challenge Rules

• In CAS, make your Simself and give him or her the kleptomaniac trait. The other 2 traits are up to you. Unless you're a vampire, alien, or mermaid (and we're pretty sure you're not), your Simself should be human. Make sure your Simself has a nice Party outfit and upload him or her to the Gallery with #Carls10th. If your Simself is not a YA, change the age to YA before starting the challenge.
• No adding to the household.
• You must choose the Private Dwelling lot trait to prevent abductions, but after doing so...
• You can't go into Build/Buy mode except to check your household inventory.
• The party can be any type of party except a date.
• Your Sim may not buy any items for the Scavenger Hunt.

Scoring

Your score is based on the time it takes you to acquire the 10 items and throw a gold-medal party. Jot down the week, day, and hour and plug the info into Lena's Spreadsheet.

Ch-Ch-Changes
The team does not want to edit and make changes to the ruleset once this event goes live, but we may have to. If an exploit is brought to our attention or we discover something else we reserve the right to ask affected players to redo their effort.

Have Questions?
Please think hard before you ask in the challenge thread because it may be strategy. What you may consider an innocent question could cause another player to go — “oh, I did not think of doing that.” It’s always safer to PM everyone on the team (Metro, LenaLJ, MarianT, and sdhoey) for clarifications. Thanks.

How dare you assume my life state, lol! Hastily throws blanket over coffin My Simself would never be caught dead as a boring Human but for this challenge I guess I can make an exception ... until it's over that is. Secretly starts plotting to turn into Vampires everyone once the challenge is over

But wow, another Race Against The Clock challenge already?! Awesome! This one looks like just as much fun as the first one and I'm sure you're gathered by now how much I love these, can't wait for this one!

No. And you really don't want to for this one, as your Simself will have to have the kleptomaniac trait.

Always create Sims in CAS (not CAS Storymode) from scratch,

All items are base game items Dek. That way it is level ground for all players.

I made two changes to the rules:

You may not go into Build/Buy Mode except to check your household inventory.
You may not buy the Scavenger Hunt items.

Can I do my scavenger hunt in Sunset Valley and go hunting for Aggie instead? It took me almost a week to find her in my most recent attempt at the Sims 3 ID. (It turned out the game assigned her a job in the medical career for some reason - probably because I had Morganna in my household)

ETA: I know the answer to my non-serious question is "no".

If you're going to use your Simself for the challenge, then you need to wait until the 26th.

Oh so do you want a real sim self for the gallery or the klepto version?

Sorry if I'm being stupid. I'm worried about not being able to upload to gallery. Is this an essential part of the challenge? Because the only way I've found for my game to not crash every five minutes is to play in offline mode.
