Sciks: Week 39 - We're Baaaa-aaaack!Wow! So it's been what, like 12 weeks/3 months since the last update? According to the calender anyway. We Sunbursts actually spent something like 8 weeks waiting, just hanging in limbo, something about a real life nooboo? Well, we have a nooboo too but I guess the RL one was more important. After waiting 8 weeks because of nooboo, we got to come out for a day or two but it kind of felt like our lives were on constant repeat - it was always Monday, over and over again - something about Wunn and Therie misbehaving. Anyway, the day came where we finally got fixed and are once again allowed to live our lives! So, in virtual reality, we've only been "alive" for the past RL week and boy has it been fun!! Check out what we're doing!
On Sunday, it is my lovely wife's elder birthday and she takes it with grace. I throw a party for her at home where so many of us Sunbursts have blown out our candles. Wunn and Mom Fyve in their crazy outfits, Sevinn on the living room floor where she spends her awake hours. I have already had my adult birthday - notice the new facial hair courtesy of my mid-life crisis.
Here she is in her new duds, beautifully recloured in her favorite, Turquoise.
Lihua's very first activity as an elder? She writes all of our thank-you notes for the wedding gifts. In the playhouse in the back yard, after walking through the house past all the comfy chairs.
I'm not really sure how Sami bought us a gift since she's our dog, or how Patrick managed to send us something from the afterlife but, nonetheless, she throws a thank-you card for each of them into the mailbox.
Monday (the auto-repeat day) brings Sevinn's toddler birthday. I can't believe my little girl is growing up so fast. Maybe I should step away from my inventing table a little more often! I throw a big party for her down at the park - you wouldn't believe it though by looking at the pictures but we do have guests there other than our family!
One last look at my baby girl as a nooboo ...
And then she's a little more grown up, with her mother's black hair, and green eyes from somewhere.
Isn't she just precious?! I have it on good authority that toddler spam is not only accepted but expected so enjoy the rest of this update!
Lihua gets started right away on the potty training saying she wants the nasty one done asap! Sevinn doesn't seem to mind peeing in the park, I think that's one of the reasons Therie added the toddler potty so many weeks ago when she bought and upgraded the park. We're just putting it to good use, as it was intended.
After having cake, I spend some quality time with my daughter. It's so contagious when she laughs! Makes you want to tickle her over and over and over!
Sevinn shares Tu's favorite food - Grilled Cheese - and devours it with a host of happy sounds after Lihua zaps it in the blender for a few minutes.
With the reality of a questionable consignment store making my goal of maxing the self-employed inventor career near impossible, I take a job at the Sports stadium working towards becoming a professional athlete instead. What all this means is that I'm spending all my spare time working out and going to work, leaving Lihua to take care of most of the raising of our little girl. There is always time for fun I'm told.
Lihua goes through the basics of walking with young Sevinn after breakfast one morning, ...
And then the toddler is off exploring all on her own!
When almost all the elders pop wishes to help Sevinn ride a spring rider we purchase one for her and Therie gets first dibs.
Sami has her elder birthday towards the end of the week. I'll be sad when it comes time for her to go. She's still as energetic as ever!
I make it my job to teach my little girl to talk. Her first word speaks towards the hard work ahead of her and the weeks of hard work this Dynasty has been for every Immortal - and our patient "watcher", as some would call her.
Wunn, when he's not at work or fishing or gardening, hangs out at the pool. This is the first night he rolls the wish to woohoo in the hot tub, and it doesn't go so well!
Now that Sevinn is more than just a breathing, crying lump on the living room floor, Sami has taken a interest in her. The two get along fabulously!
I have a residual inventing related wish hanging around so one night I place a bunch of family inventory furniture in the corner of the yard and set about to blow it all up. It is not a very good idea when everyone else is already sleeping!
At least I have help to put out the fire!
Until next week!
