This is fun.

14 Young Adults moved out: 14x5=70
0 Young Adults stayed home:0
2 Teenager : 2x3=6
2 Children : 2x2=4
0 Toddlers : 0

The total is 80, I think.

Kate and Pat McGee had 6 babies, all of whom became young adults still In.
YA In — 4 pts for every Young Adult remaining X6 = 24 points Total

Great Baby Boomer challenge, again 8)!

I did a little better than last year, so I'm happy.  I had:

12 YA moved out: 12 x 5 = 60
3 YA still in:  3 x 4 = 12
0 teens
0 children
0 toddlers

Total is 72.

As I was winding up this challenge, I started wondering how many Baby Boomer challenges I've played.  So I went back through the graveyards for Sims 3 and Sims 4 and counted them up.  Baby Boomer challenges started on this site in 2009, when 12 people participated.  I was not one of them, as I didn't find the forum until 2011.  I didn't find a Baby Boomer challenge in 2012, but there was one every other year since 2009, making 10 so far, and 8 for me.  I've never won this event, but have managed to place in the top ten each year.  Every year when I see the Baby Boomer challenge posted I think, "YES!! Baby Boomer!" and every year when I finish I think, "YES!! So glad THAT'S done for another year!".   :D

My couples have always been named Adam and Eve Boomer and each year I try to make them look as much like the previous years as I can.  They always name their children in alphabetical order.  This year, they got to "S".

My 2019 Adam and Eve kicked out lovingly raised and launched 18 Young Adults and had 2 children at home at the end of the challenge, for a total of 94 points.

(Edit - "S" is 19th in the alphabet, but there were 20 kids.  That's because number 9 was born before I recorded the names of number 7 (Gaia) and number 8 (Hayes) and I accidentally named number 9 Grant - so, 2 G's.    :( )

I didn't do as well as I hoped... looking forward to hearing how several of you got over 10 YAs moved out!! I had a lot of trouble completing some of the aspirations and my skilling went slowly too. I'll be interested to talk about our skilling strategies once the challenge ends.

My final score was:
1 YA moved out
5 YAs still in
1 Toddler
for a total of 26.

@GlazeyLady @BallerinaHippo and @Isabelalabe  wow, impressive scores, impressive number of YAs moved out and impressive longevity in the baby boomer challenge. @GlazeyLady did your kids include Cain, Abel and Seth? <G>

I've been thinking about my approach to it, and a couple of things I'd do differently next time.

I may have to do a try of it for fun some time to see if my thoughts would work better for me.

I'm jumping around in my toga and shaking pom poms celebrating everyone who finishes. (and yes, it is as scary as it sounds, believe me)

LOL No - I actually just use the first name that pops into my head with the right starting letter - but it would be interesting to see how many names have popped into my head first year over year.  I always use Andrew or Aavelee (my son and his daughter), Sam (my other son), Rosalee (my other granddaughter, if R is a girl), Gaia for a girl, Isaac for a boy, but there's no reason for what I use except they pop into my  head.

1 Toddler: 1x1=1

1 Child at Home
2 Toddlers at Home

and a knocked up sim who couldn't deliver in time (lol)

Having not played Sims for a few years, I recently bought the Sims 4 and remembered the challenges that I occasionally used to do (and fail miserably at!) over here with you guys. First challenge in a while, and as mediocre as ever, but I really enjoyed it!

2 YA moved out
3 YA at home
1 teen at home
1 child at home
1 toddler at home
Score: 28

Have no idea how you high scorers managed it - am looking forward to hearing about it though!

What a crazy challenge!  :D
I like playing families but it's the first time I have so many children in such a short time  ;)
I thought I wouldn't be able to finish on time but I finally did it!

12 YA out: 60
4 YA in: 16
1 toddler :1
Total score: 77
