Island Living Picture Thread
« on: June 21, 2019, 08:29:48 PM »
Hey guys,

I think we can all agree that IL is quite beautiful and dreamy, so if you have some shots you'd like to share...well, why don't we share here?

Don't forget to resize to a maximum of 800 x 600 pixels and to use JPEG format only. And also, no more than a total of 25 images per post.

Whee!

Here is a female Sim, I'm playing on Sulani:

I also play Don - he is engaged to and living together with a local merman, Ukupanipo. Here is their home, Lagoon Look:

@Joria Lovely pictures. By the way, did you know that the two female Sims your Leillani is socializing with are married to each other? They are the official lesbian couple while the Heckings in Brindleton Bay are the offcial gay couple.

Some of my screenshots.

Found a turtle on the beach.

I love it when my Sims go fishing.

The vending machine selling beach supplies and fruits/vegetables.

Some kind of temple grounds, I reckon.

Romance in the waterfall.

Don is getting kissed by his merman fiancé in the water.

This is Ukupanipo Hekekia in his merman form.

The outrigger canoes are just awesome. Here is Don on his conservationist canoe, 'The Ukulele'. I have activated its flower sails (petals in the air). It can be placed both on land and in the water - and he can also go fishing on it!

So, I've noticed Nalani passing by my house and sent one of my sims to chat with her a bit. Later, I invited her to a wedding. When the main stuff was over, she decided to get some science done...

Also, the lifeguard career has some Baywatch vibes, I guess - at least when it comes to work clothes.

Well, her being a platinum blonde with an intense tan does add to the Baywatch-y feel ;D

Here is one I just took...if anyone needs me, I'm in this place indefinitely:

Family time on Mua Pelam (spelling probably botched up) - my generation six parents with their firstborn son

Nalani is doing her best to stick in the crowd and not reveal her... special origin.

We need some sunset pictures here. Here's one on Sapphire Shores.
It is a little thing of my own. I call it "Heart Foam". I shall not publish it. Farewell! Patience, Patience, farewell!

This is a rags-to-riches type save. I started on Key Point with 0 simoleons. Did the lifeguard and diver part-time careers for the rewards, then went into the Conservationist. The house is mostly built by selling paintings, however. This is, hands down, the best lightning picture I've got. My only other lightning picture doesn't have rain, it's from displeasing the gnomes during Harvestfest.

Part of me thinks, this is it, every sim family must live in Sulani. And yet... we're unable to build below water level on seaside lots, so that takes away a lot of building space. It's so beautiful, but it's going to be hard to build a full-featured beach home that isn't 3 stories.

Ye gods, @Heart Foam - what a striking screenshot that last one :o

@Joria Am I weird for having a soft spot for Uku? He has the most awesome mermaid form ;D So, I'm guessing the gross puddles are buggy...or maybe just part of the island's design.

I'm still so much in love with Sulani :)

@Nindigo I hoped a lightning strike was coming, and just kept hitting the screenshot key. I took another 23 others, without lightning. I'm as thrilled as you. ;p Getting a half decent lightning strike is patience and dumb luck.

@Heart Foam I believe you! But you got rewarded, I'd say :)

Just received a message that Fluffy here got a new obsession - zvimming! He did it all by himself, my Sim was sunbathing on the beach. Ooh yeah 8)

Um...what?
Unavngivet.jpg

As you can see, he even has a little skill bar. What if I mention that Fluffy is also a couch-potato? ???
Fluffy.jpg

I find this behavior so cute in the game.

Fluffy's true nature. Mom is sleeping on a lounge chair nearby. Idyllic, eh?

Fluffy peeing in a strange position.

The gross puddles are lava which has oozed up.  What's funny is if you say, "clean up" they whip out a big extinguisher, spray furiously and then proceed to dig in the stuff  as if it were sand!  So far no matter how long or frequently at one time they clean it up it never gets smaller.  Starts with only one or two puddles and then increases to three, (and more?) as time goes on.

Uku is the most romantic guy.  Those in the water kisses are so lovely, and sexy, and lovingly done.  Sigh.  I hope they have really cool babies.

I love Fluffy!  What a sweet doggie.  Haven't done any pet yet but this cutey could make me think about it.  So typical doggie!  Reminds me of my little guys, (chihuahua's).
