Island Living Guides
« on: June 19, 2019, 11:00:16 PM »

I'm in the process of covering Island Living and have only a couple pages done so far. I'll update as I go. Tonight will be Conservationist, then Mermaids. Might even get most of both done in the next 8 hours as I have a good bit of experience with them already:

Island Living Guide
Island Living Cheats (to be Updated)
Island Living Features Players Should Know
Conservationist Career
Cleaning Up Sulani (Improving Environment Score)
Island Living Building: Stilts, Ladders and Glass "Floors"

Video Guides:

Features Every Island Living Player Should Know

My to-do on this one is quite big. The reason being, there are lots of little features more so than one big central feature, and a lot of it revolves around island activities and the environment. I built out this concept list to give me some idea what I'm looking at:

Lifeguard Career
Conservationist
Mermaids
New Building Tools Features
Around Sulani (places to go for fun and and woohoo)
Island Living-centric Fishing
Update Fishing
Update Fitness!!
Tanning (sunburns and tan prank)
Dolphins and Snorkeling/Scuba
Jet Skis and Boats
Elementals
Cave

I've read the guide on foundations and ladders...
Considering how pesky the boat seems to be, maybe the best way is to place it down before you start building (when space is not such an issue), go back to live mode, put it in a sim's pocket, then go back to building?

Yeah, probably. It's just a pain with an existing structure on a small lot and I was determined to make it fit so I could learn from it. Some people will have trouble I think (even with more room than I had) due to the camera thing I mentioned. It wants to place it on a higher elevation but tweaking the camera to another angle can help with that if it's cramped.

When it gets to updating gardening for IL, I can confirm that IL plants can be found in seed packets of the correct type and/or quality (including appropriate seasons packets for those with Seasons installed). All 4 plants are spring+summer.
