Would you look at that? I managed to get two chapters done today!
I know I shouldn't be surprised when this happens but I always am.
We start this chapter off quite suddenly because past Mpart decided that's what she wanted to do. Morpheus, Midas, Kronos, and Erebus all attended prom. Erebus came out of the school first with a tale to tell:
Not bad actually.
"I have never met Eileen before this."
At least she's not a babysitter.
Eileen was promptly given a makeover and she's gorgeous! Bella Bachelor is her aunt. I have no idea who her parents are but that's all my notes decided to include.
Anyways, Midas and Kronos came out of the school at the same time. Their prom was...
"...not fun. I'm going to get revenge."
I expected that from Kronos but not you, Midas.
"Look at the notifications."
I'm getting to it.
Ouch. Midas definitely didn't have a good prom.
Kronos didn't either but that was mostly his fault.
"What do you mean? I had a great time at prom. I got into several fights. That was a win-win situation."
I disagree but I'm glad you had fun.
Morpheus' prom experience was-
"-I'm a bit busy here, Watcher!"
You're aging up already? Really?
"Yep!"
Err let me briefly show the noteworthy notifications about your prom-
"-No, say what my lifetime wish and new trait are first!"
Fine!
Morpheus' final traits are loves the cold, excitable, coward, neurotic, and virtuoso. His lifetime wish is...One Sim Band. Well, that's not doable.
"Sure it is! You just have to believe in yourself and me. Think of all those points."
Hmm...points. I do love me some points.
Where was I? Morpheus prom experience was the usual one for the sims. He got voted prom king and rejected for a dance. All in all could have been worse, could have been better.
Here are all the kids' prom pictures before I put them in the museum. I'm surprised I managed to have them all attend prom in their formalwear.
Midas birthday hit a little later than Morpheus' but still happened at the school.
"Oh, I'm excited to show the readers what my lifetime wish is."
Don't spoil it!
Midas' final traits are brave, absent-minded, insane, commitment issues, and clumsy. The first choice for his lifetime wish that popped up was naturally Gold Digger. I chose it eagerly. I had EVERY intention of fulfilling it and knew just the way to do so.
"Missing ladder in the pool? Accidental fire? Jellybean bush?"
Nope, and you already know what happens.
"That I do."
Nike and Artemis get along. In such a large household they are barely mentioned but they are very much loved.
Helios and Ares, not wanting to miss out on the birthday attention, aged up too.
Ares' traits are athletic, insane, and neurotic.
Time to write another insane sim.
"Maybe. Maybe not."
You're literally insane.
"Perhaps."
Oh no. I am not dealing with another insane sim who knows too much.
"Hmph! I'm not my brother! I'm my own person."
I'm getting Loki vibes here.
Helios, the somehow saner child, aged up with the evil trait. WHY.
"I'm going to take over the world! Just you watch!"
No, no, no! I need one sane sim this generation! One sane sim!
"I'm evil, not insane!"
YET.
After all the birthdays, a trip to China was in order. Sam's age bar was maxed out and I wanted him to be able to paint Morpheus' and Midas' portraits.
My goals for the visit to China were as follows:
- Have Sam complete Midas’ and Morpheus’ portraits
- Have Sam max the photography and nectar making skills
- Have Electra complete the ice skill challenge, make Midas’ ice sculpture, and collect more fruits for her nectarmaking lifetime wish
- Have Morpheus max painting and cooking
- Have Midas max sculpting and gardening
- Have Erebus max martial arts and nectarmaking
- Have Kronos max painting, writing, and photography
- Have Ares and Helios max logic
I know that seems like a lot but I was DETERMINED. I was going to do it!
I even remodeled the vacation home so I could feel extra motivated to micromanage my sims like never before. There would be no bathroom breaks, no socializing, and no eating for the adults. They would all have to use the moodlet manager or die and give me extra points for their tombstones.
I think it's important to mention this is about the time I started going crazy this generation.
Sam kept trying to do ridiculous things like go to sleep and use the restroom. I had to micromanage him more than the others.
"You have gone mad."
KEEP PAINTING!
Ares and Helios got to work maxing logic right away.
"It's like she's at war or something, Helios."
"As an evil sim I can appreciate this to some extent but it's mostly just concerning."
Have you both maxed logic yet? No? Stop talking!
Electra and Midas had the most difficult tasks; they both had to max sculpting and complete the Ice Personality challenge. At some point, I tracked to see who was finishing the challenge the fastest. They were tied for a while but Electra managed to win by one sculpture.
"Yay!"
"I'm glad you won, mom."
"Thank you, Midas."
Awwww. That's strangely wholesome for this family.
WHY ARE YOU RUNNING, SAM?
"I'm done with Midas' portrait!"
Do you think that means you can stop skilling?
"I did everything you requested!"
That just means you have to max a different skill.
"I bet other Watchers are nicer."
Now, now. You have a lot of lifetime happiness points and have had a great life. Don't give me that attitude.
"Fine."
So what are you going to write about?
"Why it should be illegal to abuse moodlet managers."
I disagree but if that's what makes you happy, go for it.
"Of course you disagree. You're the reason I'm writing this."
Should I be offended or flattered?
"I don't think it matters."
That's true to an extent.
Morpheus ended up finishing maxing his skills too so I allowed him to work on his lifetime wish.
"I'll complete it. Just you watch."
I hope so.
Ares and Helios were the only ones able to sleep during the skilling madness because the moodlet manager doesn't work on children and they took full advantage of it.
That's all I have for this chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it.
