Wow, looks like you're really flying through this!!  Love to see the young adult versus elder shots.  Wish there was a bit more of a glimpse into their lives, but you do manage to take some great screenshots that show personality.  I mean, Leslie Holland's picture?  Spot on personality shot!!

@PeregrineTook Thanks for the nice comment. If I try to do a story I tend to get overwhelmed and wind up quitting (See: previous Immortal Dynasty attempts and Sharebear Legacy). I need to go fast to keep my attention for eight generations!

BTW, this is totally unrelated and off-topic, but my new Boston Terrier puppy is named Pippin. :)

With catching up on IDC's, sometimes the stories are a bit overwhelming.  I loved seeing how you chose a really different, (for me), place and carried it on with great Sims and the things they did.  Loved how your spouse added to it all and ONLY using a spouse made it just that bit more challenging.  Love it!
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Thank you, @Joria!

I love StrangerVille. My only complaint is that I wish the world had more lots.

My only moving in spouses serves two purposes: it does make the challenge a bit harder in the beginning and it keeps the household size small. I really don't like playing big households, so I'm trying to delay that as long as possible. Of course, my gen 4 heir had twins, so I have 7 Sims in the house now anyway! LOL. The twins just became children. The Gen 4 heir is still a YA and has one more promotion and getting his friends to be done with all of his requirements.

Between maxing the toddler skills, completing a childhood aspiration, completing scouts, and getting the responsible trait, fulfilling the requirements is almost too easy. I have to hand it to players like @Playalot who did this challenge before all of these overpowered additions. I considered not maxing everything but decided to go for that for the extra museum items. I kind of wish now that I hadn't gone this route and kept it a bit harder by not letting the children get so many skill and career advantages. Don't get me wrong, it's still a challenge and getting all of those childhood achievements takes a fair bit of work, but I wish I'd had the temerity to complete one of my many past abandoned attempts.

Congrats on another completed generation!  Quite amusingly, Tristan manages to look both tired and ornery in his young adult picture.
I'm guessing Lexie was the target of that "kiss someone" whim?

@PeregrineTook Yes, she was. Tristan has his Dad's sleepy eyes. :D Tristan may turn out to be the only male heir. Right now, we are all waiting for Lexie to die (vultures!) so the Gen 5 heir can procreate. Tristan and Lexie had twins and I didn't realize how much moving in a YA for Tristan to marry was going to slow things down. I kind of moved in Gen 5's spouse when she was still a teen. That's not creepy at all! Ahem.

Thanks, @Joria! One of the reasons I chose the Strangerville Overlook lot is that the fish pond behind it has the same fish as the pond at the back of Desert Bloom park. I could have my Sim fishing for sturgeon without having to leave the home lot. Of course, the down side is that the pond doesn't have angelfish so we've had to go off-lot for that.

My 6th generation was just born, so I'm moving along and I'm starting to see the finish line!

The only thing that's not fun about this is having all of these elders with virtually nothing to do. I've got them all working in either the Business or Science careers (Long hours YAY!), but there is still a lot of down time to occupy. They've had several vacations. I send them off to Granite Falls or Selvadorada for a few days and then switch control back to the Dynasty house. They also do a LOT of yoga!

@reggikko :  I did not know that about the Strangerville pond!!  Great place to catch those so expensive fish and much easier than just going on vacay to the Hermit's house, although she also had the woodworking bench which can help for those elders with nothing to do.   I like that you've given them careers with long hours!  Good idea.
Yes, I had trouble with gardening after Seasons.  I really hated the plants getting all ugly in fall and winter and barely perking up during spring.  Here in Oregon it's pretty much green all year round.  The branches might get bare as they shade their leaves but no gloomy, sad looking plants.  The down side, as I'm experiencing in game, is a LOT of rain.  To give me what I craved in gardens I just moved them all inside, whether in a green house or my actual house.  I love hanging them looking so bright and cheerful, not to mention constant good produce.

Hugging Grim?!  There's a story behind that.  She's really lovely and her spouse is good looking too.  What are their nooboos like?
