Skipping Age stages?

One of my sims was waiting for "his true love" to age up from teen to young adult. But then when he married her she was an adult! Is this a bug?? Because I really needed that extra stage

I have no personal experience but many people here on the forum say that NPC jobs like a paperboy have buggy life stages.  Was the female Sim a babysitter or a papergirl?  That may be why.

Nope, it was Holly Alto and she was unemployed.

I would assume her age was glitched in your game. It is a shame that happened.

Yeah, that has to be a glitch.  Holly Alto should age normally.

Boo! Oh well just gives me more of a challenge in my dynasty.
