Lock out specific items

Hello. I have a household with one brother and sister. they have a separate room with a separated computer. Is there a way to lock them from using each other's computer? I still prefer they come and socialise and chat with each other in their room just stay away from the computer what not theirs. Like thinking, as I can assign the bed for a sim I hoping I can do the same with the computer.

Lock the door. You can specify which sims can enter which door.

but then they can not enter the other sibling's room at all, this is what I like to avoid.

At this time there is no way to lock Sims from using other items in the house.

If you want a Sim not to use another Sim's computer, you could make their bedroom big enough that they have a closet of sorts to place the computer in. Place a door on that room and lock it for the specific Sim that the computer belongs to. This leaves the other part of the bedroom free to enter and the computer off limits to those who aren't allowed to use it.

If you want a sim to talk to the computer using sim, you can place the computer behind a fence with a locked gate.  The sims will chat over the fence but only the one you want can use the computer.  You may have to get creative with the fencing to make it look ok indoors.
