Stuck on Loading Screen

I was playing The Sims 3 the other day and I went to create to a house to change to give my Teen Female Sim tatoos and the screen just kept saying entering create a household and i didn't stop how do i avoid this problem and what causes it could it be down to low memory,I have 792GB,I renamed my file The Sims 3 old and transferred all the data and i managed to solve the problem.

As for exactly why this happens I don't know. However, it is known that Sims 3 has memory leaks which can cause loading and crashing issues.

When a game isn't loading for me. I fully exit the game, and then try loading it and my save again to see if that helps.
