(BUG) Leaf piles stick around forever

I've noticed that leaf piles around the neighborhood that don't get burned or thrown out during fall sick around forever being smelly. Is there some way to get rid of them? I can burn them and they stay piles and don't reduce to ash.

This is a well known bug, you could 'me too' the report here:

There is a description of a cheat work-around that helps in some cases starting on about page 3 of the thread.

Luckily this is one of the bugs the QA guys have acknowledged so hopefully a bug-fix should be coming in a patch soon.

Sweet. I read a lot of suggestions on that thread and one of them was that the piles overlap which I never noticed which is why they take a few times to turn into ash. Hopefully it gets patched but if not I've got some quick fixes!

You should be able to yes. And if it doesnt appear to work keep trying it. They might still be overlapping. I havent had this issues since the update, I'll head into my game that it occured a bunch and see if it happens

Edited: yes burn it a few times, set the fancy trash can that gives you money as head, walk around a few times and select throw away until its successful.

I'm glad to hear that burning those stupid stinky leaf piles works to get rid of the bug but I've never really understood why they even need to get that way to begin with, I mean why don't EA just stop that from happening in the first place? It's currently Autumn where I live right now and I've never noticed leaves getting like that in real life.

I got that bug in a recent game but as it was a Tournament Challenge file for me, I just ignored them as I didn't want to waste time burning the stupid things, it was an eyesore however.
