Let Me Count the Ways...to Make Money

Goal
In this challenge, your Sim will try to make some money in as many ways as possible before aging up to adult.


General Challenge Rules

• The General Challenge Rules always apply. If applicable, exceptions will be listed below.

Specific Challenge Rules

• Create 1 Young Adult Human or Alien Sim.
• No household additions allowed after leaving CAS.
• You are allowed to use the Buydebug cheat for the sole purpose of purchasing a satellite to prevent abductions.
• Your Sim cannot leave work early or go to work late (should be at work before the job turns red).
• Turn off all scheduled holidays, but pop-ups are okay (and yes, if your Sim wins the lottery, that counts).
• This challenge concludes when your Sims age up to Adult.

Scoring

Total — You'll get 10 points for each method. You should also report your household income, which we'll use as a tie-breaker when 2 players have the same score. When you report your score, do not list all your methods, but the winner will be expected to provide a list.

We're looking for methods here, rather than objects. Fishing would count as a method; selling a tuna and selling a guppy would not count as 2 methods. Generally speaking, if the way you made money differed in wording, it counts. For example, asking for a small loan and asking for a large loan would be considered 2 methods. We don't want to provide a complete list, so PM the team if you're not sure about something. Do not ask in this thread.

Overall, skills count as separate methods.
Selling items your Sim made that were not connected to a skill counts.
Each career counts as a separate method.
Winning a contest counts.

You're allowed to count the selling of one collectible (crystal, mineral, poster, etc.), one career reward, one party reward, one piece of furniture, one item from personal inventory, and one item from household inventory.

Example: Dilet Tante made money from painting, fishing, selling an invention, working as a scientist, working as a painter, selling a career reward, selling a party reward, selling a collectible, selling an item from personal inventory, and selling an item from household inventory for a total of 100 points. His household income was 22,000 simoleons.

Ch-Ch-Changes
The team does not want to edit and make changes to the ruleset once this event goes live, but we may have to. If an exploit is brought to our attention or we discover something else we may ask affected players to redo their effort.

Yes.

There have been a few questions about what counts as a "way to make money," so I'm clarifying:

1. Any separately worded action. For example, if your Sim is a writer, you can "self-publish," "sell to publisher," or "sell to Literary Digest." In collecting, your Sim can "dig," "rummage in trash," "grab a poster," etc.

2. Any skill. Your Sim can make and sell a drink (mixology), catch a fish (fishing), etc.

3. Any career. Your Sim can change jobs as often as you want, but has to go through a full working day to count the salary.

4. Pop-ups. Sometimes your Sim will get money from a chance card at work, a Fame choice, winning a contest, etc. These all count. Check your notifications before deleting them.

5. You may also sell one item from personal inventory (a second fish you caught, for example), and one career reward, one party reward, and one additional item from household inventory. You may sell one piece of furniture that came with your house.

Note: Your Sim may sell many more items to raise the household income number, but count the method only once.

 I believe all the skills that you can earn money with are counted individually along with careers.

Her final household income was $13,372.
