Two questions regarding autographs and new car
« on: December 25, 2010, 05:35:02 AM »
Okay, so I noticed that in the past you could actually hold autograph sessions at some venues (spa, theatre and stadium I think) if you were at level 10 in the Sports or Music careers. Does that apply to the Celebrities? Mine get asked for autographs a lot so it'd make a lot of sense but I was never aware that you could even hold sessions.

And, I noticed in the lessons tab of the options menu in the game that in the celebrity section on one of the tabs there's a picture of a woman and a new car. Apparently it's the Extravagtor 5000 and it's a celebrity gift. Any idea on how to get it? My female sim is level 5 celebrity and my guy is 4..

Welcome to our Forum.

I don't believe celebrities signing autographs and holding autograph sessions are related.  So, no, your celebrities cannot hold autograph sessions for money like Sims at level 10 in Music or Sports.  For the Extravagator 5000, it comes randomly to celebrities, usually the higher ranked ones.  Celebrity gifts show up in your Family Inventory and you'll get a notification in the upper right corner.

I think you must be 5-star to get the Extravagator 5000, not really sure, though (well, it can't make the odds lower). When you Hold Autograph Sessions, your sim gets paid for the autographs and all that, but when your sim is a celebrity, they will randomly be asked to take a picture or give an autograph - which so far in my game proved to do nothing at all.

Mostly it's just annoying because it interrupts whatever I've got my Sim doing and cancels the entire queue.

I know, right? I had to wait an entire sim-day to complete an opportunity, because my sim got literally blocked by fans, and I couldn't even teleport out because they were faster, with their pictures and autograph needs. God bless the global resetSim command.
