Sorry I can't help you with this one.  I don't think I did Master chef till much later.  I'm redoing mine as well.  Try MarianT.  She's the pro at this.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

Thanks for your thoughts on my previous questions, Joria!

I actually went back and started over because I was sure I could do a better job at No Tech if I tried again.  On my second attempt, I've just transitioned to More Tech and I've hit a little snag.  I was planning to have one of my sims do the Master Chef aspiration while working on one of the culinary careers (both listed in More Tech); but in order to complete Master Chef, he has to "earn Silver for a dinner party."  We're not supposed to throw parties with goals until High Tech, so do I throw one goaled party just to complete the aspiration?  Or is there another solution I haven't thought of?

I can't remember why we required players to wait until the High Tech era to throw a goaled party. Since we do allow the Master Chef requirement in the More Tech era and since it does require the silver medal on a dinner party, I changed the rule to allow goaled parties in the More Tech era. Good luck!

We've made some changes to the rules to incorporate Island Living:

You may start on any 40 x 30 lot in Sulani, but your Sims must stay in Sulani until the More Tech era. They may not move to a different world and may not travel outside of Sulani.

The canoe and fish trap may be used starting in the Low Tech era. The Aqua Zip has to wait until the High Tech era.

The Conservationist career becomes available during the High Tech era.

Just finished No Tech on my third attempt, boy is this a doozy!

Ohana and her husband Manu Sulani are returning to their roots by attempting to live as their ancestors did on the now deserted isle of Sulani.  Unfortunately, the romantic idea has not lived up to expectations.  Their twin teenage sons Mua Pel'am and Lani do their best to help out, but their parents didn't have the resources necessary to raise them well.

Ohana maxed Parenting and Charisma, Manu maxed Fishing, Comedy and Mischief.  Onto low-tech!

Low-tech is proving just as 'fun'.  Twin daughters Ohan'ali and Taz have joined the frey, but at least we have showers and crops now.

Low-tech Complete!  Manu added cooking, Angling Ace and Soulmate before passing on.  Ohana lived a bit longer, as they had two more pregnancies (Orion and Manu, after her recently deceased husband), and gave her tribe the Curator and Friend of the World(while interviewing potential spouses for her heir Mua Pel'am.

Mua Pel'am eloped with the hermit of Granite Falls Mindy Deaton in the hour of his mother's death as Mindy went into labor, resulting in a pregnant sim moving in just as the second founder passed away and giving me a full house of eight sims with their daughter Ohana'Min, named after her freshly deceased grandmother.  Mindy moved in with Herbalism maxed.  Sadly, a teenaged Orion Sulani died at the waterfall of starvation while I wasn't paying attention to him.  Mua Pel'am maxed Guitar and Gardening, as well as Freelance Botanist, leading the tribe of seven into Mid Tech Era.

Okay, I just completed my first test run of the No Tech Era. I know what I did wrong, what I did right and Thank you MarianT for answering my  "blonde moment" questions in my  pm. LOL

After a little break I just might start my actual file. No story, but I will do a thread with stat post for each Era..

Is that like a fire pit? If so, it's okay.

Marian, if you are doing an Island type theme, can the toddlers wear the island bottoms like the mom and dad's or still wear the diaper?

Thanks Shannon

@sdhoey I just colored my diapers yellow/tan color if that helps. I didn't even think about using the island bottoms though. Definitely interested in knowing too!

As long as the bottoms look very basic, just a piece of cloth tied around them, that's fine.
