Get Famous info/discussion thread.

It's too early. A board for the expansion will be created shortly before or the day it releases.

Even though Get Famous doesn't come out for another 13 days, it would be great to have a separate Get Famous board like for the other packs.
Or is it too early?

Acting is a single active (mostly) career track, like the ones from Get to Work. It works differently then those careers though. It is unique in that it is a gig economy so the days and hours aren't set. To get gigs you have to have an agency who arranges rabbit hole tryouts, if you get the gig you have prep to do before the gig, then there is an active gig that you are paid for and gain fame from. @oshizu does that help?

@oshizu One thing I forgot to mention there is 4 agencies two to start and 2 more open up when you reach level 4 of the career. Each of these agencies get you different kinds of auditions for different kinds of gigs that shoot at different times of day so it is kind of like there is different career paths but you can switch agencies at any time accept or regent any gigs they provide without losing your job level. Also certain fame perks affect the job greatly like elimination the need to audition, the need to go to makeup and wardrobe and other such stuff because your name is what they are looking for. That too changes the career profoundly.

@oshizu Your welcome. I never intended this to be the main discussion thread for get famous. I thought and in fact was told by an administrator that this was going to be the main thread for tweets and such: http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=30331.0 Next thing I know that thread was closed and linked to this thread for such discussion. Had I known that I would have gave it a more positive start as I don't want any expansion to flop. I am still trying to psych myself up for it.

I am confused. Are the sharks lethal or is it just a death by drowning which already was in game? Is Sim Guru Kate disappointed? Hopefully Clarity is to be had during the live stream. Lets hope! The pond is a build/buy item that can be placed anywhere. It can be stalked with Kio, Piranha, Sharks or Fairies after placed.

I am very excited about the new expansion. However, I can understand the way you feel about it as well.

I would like a preview of the perk system. I hope it won't turn out as weird as the vampire perk system. I am excited about the new items-I always love getting new clothing and items! And I have a few custom-made famous sims that I made myself, and I think this x-pack will suit them well.

I'm NOT looking forward to updating all of my script and core mods, careers, and custom traits, however.
