Borked Game

Hi, I seem to have a very borked game. No matter how many romantic interactions I had my sim do, make out and other romantic interactions and also get married/have private wedding never, ever came up. Their relationship was maxed out too. I cheated their relationship to girl/boyfriend/fiance and then the option came up to get married, but not before that. This happened w/Buck Broke in Riverview if that makes any difference. Afterwards, she just would not get preggers at all no matter how many times I did the "try for baby." I'm thinking of doing a factory reset and just bringing that save over. If that doesn't work, then just put the family in the bin and try a different hood. I've never had this happen before.

Save the family and house to the library and try a new save game. If it works, then save it, if it doesn't don't save and do a factory reset, like you have mentioned.

When I've had glitches like this happen, I usually save my family and house to the library. Sometimes try a new save to see what happens. If it doesn't work go with a factory reset.

Thanks Mrs Flynn, I did just that. I tried in a new Riverview hood and there are still no romantic actions available beyond amorous hug/kiss and w/many interactions I can get the massage, but nothing beyond that. I'll try in a vanilla game and see what happens. I was able to get her preggers on the second try on the bed. Their son though, came in and "witnessed a betrayal!" They (his parents) are married in the original game. Also, his father is listed as no relation at all! I'm seriously thinking of totally scrapping this game.

Edit: I looked at his family tree and it does list Buck as his father, but in the relationship panel there is no connection.

Oh boy!! Did you try fixing the relationship via Nraas MasterController?

Shoot, I saw someone ask about it the other day over at Nraas, but don't think I kept the link. Someone explains how to fix relationships a lot better than I could. I don't think the notes I have are quite right. - If you do ask, would you share the link? I'd like to make sure I get my notes right.

That link you saw at nraas about fixing relationships was probably me. I had a problem a little while ago where the founder was not connected to the family.

Anyway, I've not tried to repair the relationship yet. I'm still trying to see if I can get beyond the massage level of romantic actions. Trying to save  her now and then will try n a vanilla game. *fingers crossed*

Well, I didn't have to do a vanilla game at all. I just did a new Riverview w/her only and all of the romantic actions were available.   I may just start over w/this game using this save.
