CAS doesn't save changes
« on: September 04, 2018, 10:59:32 AM »
Whenever i try to change my sim in cas it doesn't save. Sometimes i just make small tweaks to the nose or accessories and when i'm done and go back to the gameplay, everything was back like it was before i tried to change it. I already tried a lot of things like removing cc, repairing the game and even reinstalling it. It's clear that the issue is with that save only because in other saves this is not the case. Is there any way to fix this? I have poured hours and hours into that save.

You mention removing your mods folder, but you don't mention clearing the game cache and delete the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder to help with troubleshooting.

I heard of this happening before. A player who recently reported it mentioned that they made the changes they wanted to make, saved and then quit the game, restarted it and everything was fine. The changes they made in CAS saved.

I've just tried this and that doesn't seem to work. I noticed that it sometimes does save 1 piece of clothing that i change but nothing more. Everything from skin tone to reshaping things it does not save.

You may have already tried this, but wanted to make sure I said something just in case. Have you tried a Sims 4 factory reset? - Basically move the Sims 4 folder out from the Electronic Arts folder to the desktop, launch the game and play it with a new save no mods folder as a test?

Sims 4 Factory Reset - (What & Howto)
http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/forum/index.php?topic=29292.msg401669#msg401669

If you've already tried that, you might want to report it as a bug over at  AHQ Sims 4 Bug Forum. - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/bd-p/The-Sims-4-Bugs

Give them an idea of what you've already tried.

- Removed Mods folder.
- Deleted game cache, and the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder.
- Made Changes in CAS, saved the changes, saved game, exited game and restarted the game.
- Repaired Game.
- Uninstalled/Reinstalled Game.
- Sims 4 factory reset, with new save no mods/cc.
