Black Background (Mods/CC Related?)

When I played my Sims this morning I noticed that the background where the wallpaper is supposed to be is completely black. My entire apartment is black except for the furniture. I've noticed this with both Apartments. I'm wondering if this has something to do with the new Caribbean items that have been downloaded to the game.

This sounds like a problem with mods or custom content. Regardless if you've installed/uninstalled mods/cc or completely removed the mods folder, did you clear the game cache and delete the localthumbcache.package from the Sims 4 folder to help with troubleshooting.
