How to get rid of a Ghost?

I'm playing the Jones household in Riverview, and they have ghosts coming at night & evening. How do I get rid of them?

I'm pretty sure you have the graves somewhere on your lot.  Look for grave markers and urns.  You won't be able to get rid of the ghosts without the grave.  Did you have an option at the start of the game to have a ghost hunter come take care of the ghosts?  I've heard of that, but don't know if it applies to all households with ghosts.  One temporary measure is to reset the ghost whenever it comes out.  Use the testing cheats control panel and type "resetSim Firstname Lastname" without the quote and the ghost will pop back to its grave for the night.

Pam, that event gets cancelled if you don't call the ghosthunter, therefore you can't have the ghosts and not the hunter.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about: sometimes when you start a new game and place a household in a house in the neighborhood, some events may happen, including "your house was struck by meteors", "ghosts have taken over", etc. If you click "Ignore event", evreything caused by it will be cancelled. In my opinion, they are all worth doing, as they take nearly 2-3 hours to clear and can give you quite a lot of extra money to start with.

For the "struck by meteors" one, I recommend only collecting the rocks, analyzing and selling them (cosignment store may be a better option), as all the dust in the floor will later be cleaned by a firefighter who comes to help you. An event that happened to me long ago (when I started my main Sim, so one day after the game was launched), I was lucky to find nearly 10-15 gems and metals in the lot, due to one of those events. Helped a lot.

You can't sell rocks at the Consignment Store, so you'd just have to sell them the regular way.

Thanks all for the help. I finally found the graves, they were hidden by bushes. I didn't get the option with the Ghost Hunter because I was playing Don Lothario, then Hannah Jones and him got married then they moved into her house. And the ghosts were her relatives. I put the graves in the cemetery. I've never had the meteor one before, so I don't know about that one.
