Yay!
Congrats to Margaery, her watcher, Sansa, and Pippin!

P.S. Do you think Roose benefited from his Outgoing trait?
So mysterious! It's like nobody even cared about his bald spot, lol.

Thanks!

Roose spent most of his time dancing in the office. No, seriously. There was a cheap boombox from house 006 and he and most of the guests were constantly there.

Congrats on finishing the first part. It couldn't be easy.

Thanks!

Actually, it went pretty fast. The way part 1 of this house works, you've got them doing defined tasks every day so it's structured and goes quickly. The rest of these challenges, the slog is when your heir is a teenager and most everything else is done and it's just waiting for the heir's birthday.

Yay Sansa!!  So happy with the choice!!  (Throws confetti) Can't wait to see what comes next for the happy couple!

LOL, I kept wanting to reassure you...

Re:  Drifter House 007, part 2

Your overall goals:
•   On the site formerly known as Springscape Residential Lot, you will build a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom home worth a minimum of $40,000 simoleons (after depreciation). A room consists of at least 4 walls, a door, flooring, and wall coverings.
•   Complete the Soul Mate aspiration
•   Produce and raise an heir to the young adult life stage.
No Sim Left Behind will provide you with the plot of land free of charge. You will need to have disposed of your money by the time you begin this project.

Journal entry, Sansa Stark

Margaery warned me that it might be bleak. “My parents and aunts talked about how it was back in the old days. I’m going to work my butt off, but it won’t be great for a while.”

Not great turned out to be an underestimate.

The email from Kevan came in the middle of the night.

We had to move right then and there. Margaery was still wearing her cocktail dress and I was in my nightgown.

We were hoping there might be fishing nearby because I can do that, sort of. We were also hoping there would be a community garden or at the least a couple of grills.

There’s a little park next to the lot with a jungle gym and there are some picnic tables and benches, but that’s it.

Margaery sighed. “I’m going to start digging up rocks and stuff. You stay here.” She held up a hand when I started to protest. “The rules are really clear on this. Also, I owe you.”

Re: Progress Report 001

It has been a grim couple of days and I think I’m going to need to burn this dress. I got a job right away, but it didn’t start for three days.

Before I went to work, I managed to earn enough for a double bed, a toilet, cooler, and finally, thank the gods, a shower.

There are a lot of minerals and fossils nearby which have helped a lot. Also, frog breeding. Eventually I was able to get a really crappy counter and a cheap fridge.

Work is … okay. I picked the doctor career because of what happened to us in the house.

I want to make a difference and to promote ethical experiments. Mostly I mopped up spills, delivered meds, and swabbed patients for samples, but I guess everyone has to start somewhere.

Somehow I got a promotion on my first day. I sold the career rewards so we could get an easel, a bookcase, and a couple of folding chairs.

Phone call from Willas Tyrell to Cerenna Lannister Tyrell

Cerenna: But she’s okay?

Willas: She’s fine. Exhausted and grungy, but it reminded me of how it used to be when we started out. They were so proud they had chairs.

Cerenna: Is she getting enough to eat?

Willas: They’re eating a lot of salad, but they both seem healthy enough. Sansa’s started painting and she seems to have a knack for it so I think they’re going to be just fine.

Cerenna: That is such a weight off my mind.

Willas: Can you dig out my suit? The wedding is tomorrow.

Sansa was a good choice!  It looks like the second half of Margaery's project is pretty standard stuff.  I'm sure they'll have a roof over their heads in no time.

Oww, now a rough start after the comfort of the mansion. At least, they could learn some skills beforehand.

The doctor career can be fun. Margaery has strong motivation, I'm sure she'll do well. You can't controll Sansa anymore, right?

Well, soonish. Anyhow.

I picked the doctor career because it was an active one and at the time I was doing this challenge, the detective one seemed kind of messed up and I'd already had that house where Lyanna did scientist. I could only control Sansa when the challenge specified: I could make them all go to bed at the same time. I could have her paint or fish for the competitions, but that was it. Once we got to part 2 the only time I could ever control her was to have her claim a bed or age up. There are ways to kind of influence a sim to do things. For instance, if Margaery invited her to cloudgaze, Sansa would paint unprompted.

Journal entry, Myrielle Lannister

Mother must be flipping over in her grave. She had enough of a problem with Cerenna took Willas’ name. I can’t imagine her liking the fact that her granddaughter took Sansa’s.

Both Margaery and Sansa looked gorgeous, but the guest list was a bit sketchy. I didn’t know a lot of the people. There was a balding man who glared daggers at Sansa and ignored his plus one the entire time.

I have NO idea what cousin Breanna was wearing.

The wedding was beautiful.

Baldy had fits every time Margaery and Sansa displayed any kind of affection and (Mother would have hated this) when they skipped off to the observatory for some alone time, he went ballistic and slapped the daylights out of Margaery.

It’s times like these where I’m glad I’m still single.

Ouch, Roose is a bit of a sore looser, isn't he?

Congratulations on the beautiful wedding.

The wedding was beautiful.  I'm impressed at how many sims you had sitting down for the ceremony.  Mine seem to like to walk around and/or dance and get in the way of the wedding arch.   ::)

Roose looks happy when he's slapping Margaery.  That's an evil sim for ya.  So glad that Margaery didn't pick him.

Yeah, he's not really a good loser by any means, although I was amused to see that he was pretty persistent in his attentions. And thank you!

Getting them to do what they're supposed to at the wedding venues is the biggest pain. Glad you liked it!

Re: Progress Report 002

Thank you so much for the gifts. The wedding flowers are going to occupy a place of pride. Well, once we have a surface on which to put them.

I am expecting! We couldn’t resist trying for a baby at the wedding ceremony and I guess we were successful. It felt weird to go to work just like it was any other day.

We have a lot of stuff, but no actual walls yet.

We started working on the soulmate aspiration and went for a meal at the Green Grille. Did you know there’s an urn like right there? In the middle of the restaurant?

I got another promotion.

Sansa paints a lot and thankfully the crystals and fossils and frogs bring in a decent amount. We probably could put up walls, but Sansa wants us to construct something more cohesive in one go so we’re waiting.

Journal entry, Margaery Stark

I took Sansa out on another date after I got out of work. I didn’t even have time to change out of my scrubs.

Well, I did, but I’m in my second trimester and honestly, scrubs are much more comfortable.

We were having a great time when I saw Grandmother. Still dancing. She’s been dead for years. I didn’t even know she’d ever set foot in Windenburg while she was alive, let alone that she haunts a nightclub there.

The plan is to have enough for the shell of the house before I go into labor. Fingers crossed.

Is it just my imagination, or does Margaery look bigger than a single birth?
Crossing my fingers for the happy couple, too!

It's always nice to get walls up before the baby comes.

Congrats to Margaery on getting another promotion.  The active careers are perfect for this kind of challenge where you can only control one sim.

I have no idea how the Sims developers work this. She aged up to a teen so skinny I was alarmed until I realized it was because the only foo in the fridge while she was a toddler and child were garden and fruit salads, but Garlan aged up looking more normal. Then she was huge with the baby so I have no idea.

Yeah, that was my thinking too. I just can't sit day after day watching sims I can't control--I would get so anxious.
