The Malrok sounds like it could be for a Witches name.  :)

Sorry for not responding sooner, I haven't checked the Stories section in a few days.  To be honest, I'm not sure I'm going to carry on with this story.  There doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in it.  The Clan Douglas story took a lot of my time, and I'm just not sure I want to do it again.  There are a lot of stories here these days, and maybe it's time for me to step back and leave the story-telling to others for a while.  I'm still thinking about it.

@Schip, I don't think it has to do with people not being interested in this second story of yours. I was talking to Pam the other night about the sheer volume of stories now in this board. It's absolutely crazy. And of course, at the same time it's fantastic. Everyone wants to tell a story of their Dynasty and so there's only so many hours in the day for everyone to pick and choose what stories to keep up with. Now that Pam's finally done, all the other stories can finally receive some attention!  :D  ;)

I love the way you write, you were an inspiration for so many people to start writing their own dynasty including me. If you feel that you do not want to continue then that is fine do what makes you happy.
I do hope you continue with this amazing story.

Thanks so much for the comments.  I totally agree with Metro - there are just too many stories to keep up with and still try to do justice to one's own game.  Well, that's my problem anyway - I'm a slow player and writer.  But now that I've finally figured out how to have an offsite museum (took me long enough), I'm hoping that will mean this game will load and save faster than the Clan Douglas Dynasty did.  By the end, that one was taking something like 3/4 of an hour to load; not that we're anywhere near that yet in this game.  And, like with the last game, the end of this story is already rattling around in my brain.  Once that happens, it's hard not to see it through to the end!

Maybe we Need subsections in the Story Board if that is possible? Legacies, Dynasties and Others? Homework has kept me off my Stories and they have gone to Page 2 Land!  :-\

But, the bad news is unless paintings, sculptures, and photos are on your lot, they do not appreciate. You can double check that for me, but I think that fact has come up before.

Oh, no - really?  Am I ever glad you told me before I started moving things over and putting the sculptor to work!  I do have a couple of ice sculptures of spouses that have been placed, so will check the values on those.  What am I going to do with that enormous building I just finished?!  The rich neighbours from the old Landgraab residence keep coming over to inspect it.  I'll have to find some other use for it.

Schip, I seriously hope you are able to keep your story going.  You're one of the writers I regularly read, even if I don't post.

I think Metro is right, there are just so many stories and only so much time.  Reading the stories does cut into play time, and with all the challenges he's come up with, it's hard to juggle playing, doing challenges, writing your own stories, and reading others.  I think samoht's idea is a good one but a heck of a lot more work for Carl or whoever would do the work to split things up.  I personally have been way behind on writing my own story, and just finally decided today was the day I caught up on the original story teller's stories.  The new ones just have to wait till I read up and comment on all the old timer's writes.  You see names that were there from the start and that's the first ones I read, then, if there is still time and I haven't crashed, I'll pick another that sounds interesting.  Divvying it up into something like Legacies, Dynasties, Vampire Tales, New Writes as a subtitle under the big three, would help people out.

New Writes stories would have to get moved eventually since they wouldn't remain new, (which means still more work for our moderators), but lots of times folks will start a story and then just stop or it dies.  I think the ones that die should be removed to help keep the forum tidy and to ease our searches for what we want to read.  I personally have taken to reading the last posts to see if the story is still alive before I take time to read the whole thing.

Sorry, I sort of took over your story post.  Keep it up, Schip because we ARE loving it.  My only negative on it is I have a hard time with the names, although Ping's name and character can't be beat~~!
