My favorite was Atauserk with the wrench!  Did you notice her other hand was a clenched fist?  REVENGE for all those poopy diapers!  lol
What?  Grannies can't play games?

"Christopher's Christmas Blues"

One evening over dinner, Atauserk is alarmed to hear Christopher saying:   All I ever do is stand at the easel and sculpting station.  What meaning is there to my life?  I feel like I've been doing the same thing over and over, lifetime after lifetime!
Atauserk:  Uh ... Chrissie, please take the sculpting chisel out of your chest!  Right now!

Atauserk continues:  Poor Chrissie, you've been working much too hard.  You need a break.  Why don't you go fishing tonight?  You've never gone fishing in the graveyard.  I bet you'll find some  new fish there.

Next morning at breakfast -
Christopher:  I had a good fishing trip last night.

Atauserk:  Did you?  Excellent!  What did you catch?
Christopher:  I caught three deathfish.  And a treasure chest with a death seed in it!

Atauserk, thinking:   He's still holding the chisel, but at least he's not sticking it in his chest anymore.  I guess this is progress.

After breakfast -

Atauserk:  Chrissie you put down that sculpting chisel right now!  I have something else for you to hold.  This oughtta cheer you up ...

[Editor's note:  This little story was meant to be entertaining, but Christmas depression is a real problem for a lot of people and is definitely not funny.  I hope none of our forum members have this problem, but if you do - please, talk to someone and get help.  Nobody should have to go through that alone.]

In the game, how is Christopher depressed?

Simstar, it was really the sight of him with the chisel pressed into his chest that gave me the idea.  Plus your own - and others' comments about Christopher once again being forced to paint.  I just wondered how a Sim would feel under those circumstances.  And I wanted to use the picture!  But you'll be pleased to know, he has put down his chisel and is behaving normally again!   ;)  In other words, the depression was a little artistic licence.

Glad to hear it Schip and you're right, depression is serious so we're all happy Chris put away his chisel and is a happy, healthy Sim.  I don't know about anyone else, but I had the most awesome and most blessed Christmas ever.  After Mass was over, my teen sang Mozart's Alleluia as a recessional.  Once the priest had left everyone remained behind in church, and stood up, turned around and watched her sing up in the choir loft.  My husband wheeled me down the aisle and turned the chair around so I could see too.  Can you imagine how I felt seeing our angel up there and hearing that glorious music soaring up in the chapel?  Then it got even more awesome, (though nothing could beat how I felt watching and hearing her).  Everyone took a nap and I got to play Sims again and read more stories!

"Dynasty Teen"

Malrok has a birthday and is now a teenager.  She seems rather odd-looking to me; I can't quite figure out why - maybe it's her nose.

I want this dynasty to not just be a repeat of Clan Douglas, so would like to try different skills and careers.  But it takes so long to train a sculptor to make ice sculptures that won't melt, that it just makes sense to turn that responsibility over to an immortal as soon as possible.  So, like her Gen 2 predecessor, Malrok's teen birthday brings her the Savvy Sculptor trait.  And like Gen 2 in the other dynasty, she promptly drops the trait.  A few days later when I was checking Malrok's age, I saw that the trait was missing and had to use cheats to give it back to her.  I don't understand why my sims keep dropping that particular trait.  You'd think they didn't want to be sculptors!

Malrok knows that one of her main duties as a dynasty teen is to locate the next gene donor for the family.  Frankly, bookworm Malrok would rather read.

But Malrok's mother keeps pulling out that wrench and waving it around, and Malrok doesn't really want to provoke her.  So she dutifully sets out to get to know all her male classmates - well, all except the babysitters; I learned my lesson on that one.  Gregg Keaton:

Devon Wolff:

Asa Goth (yes, he's Mortimer's younger brother):

The busy teen years culminate in a birthday party attended by all the eligible bachelors and Malrok trying to decide what trait to choose.  What trait will she choose?  And who will be the lucky bachelor?  Stay tuned.

As nice as it would be to have a Goth in the family it would almost be too much the same as the Clan Douglas if the second generation of this family married a Goth too.It was Wimsey who married Mortimer right?

Great update I look forward to meeting the winning spouse.

I can't believe you remembered that!  Wish I had as good a memory.

Thanks for the comment, Rachel.

"Atauserk Otokrak, Number One Immortal"

On the evening of Malrok's birthday, Atauserk comes home from her job at the diner and starts preparing fish and chips, when a festive feeling comes over her.

Malrok is in bed, and Christopher can't tear himself away from sports on TV, so Atauserk is alone as she contemplates how much older she has instantly become and why she is suddenly dressed as a bag lady.

But with her usual presence of mind, Atauserk puts aside those concerns and returns to her cooking because this is a very important meal - number 75, the one that completes her last cooking skill challenge.  Excellent timing on completing that SuperMax, Number One!

Next morning, Atauserk visits her hairdresser and clothing shop before having her new portrait painted.  You didn't think she was going to go around looking like that, did you?

She selects one of the death flowers laid out by the mailbox.

Atauserk Otokrak, Number One Immortal.  And not bad looking, either.
