Martial Arts Academies in Base Worlds

I know we can add Martial Arts Academies to base worlds, such as Sunset Valley, Twinbrook, etc. But can I just add the martial arts objects to a lot assigned as a gym? Will they still work there, or do I have to make two separate lots, a gym and and academy?

The martial arts objects work if you put them on your home lot, so I don't see why they wouldn't work on a gym designated lot. Why don't you give it a go and see?

Okay. Added Martial arts objects to the yoga room in the gym in Bridgeport and they work! I've seen a few townies wearing Martial Arts robes, and I sent a Sim there and he has used the training dummy and board breaker without issue.
