Sims 4 disappears from Origin?

Today, after restarting my computer the game launcher failed to start in my Sims 4 game.  It did, however, go straight into the game and the game runs.  Was there an update or patch to make is disappear?  Just curious if this is going to cause a problem.

We recently had a game and Origin update. But that shouldn't make the game disappear from the Origin client.

If you find Sims 4 disappearing often. Try uninstalling Origin, run ccleaner and then install Origin again to see if that helps. See link below for more information on this.

This won't hurt Sims 4. As they're both installed into different folders.

If you want to be sure that you won't loose any game files, Move your Sims 4 folder to the desktop for safe keeping. After you're done with the reinstall, copy back the Sims 4 folder or the files and folders listed in the post below: - scroll down to the part where it shows what files and folders to put back.
