@Playalot True but that means I have to check that calendar daily to avoid the stalker holidays, eh, I mean surprise holidays. That is a chore. But they do cancel easily that is a great thing. That saved this expansion in my opinion. Still not happy about the new item on the daily activity to do list. And I don't get the point of surprise holidays. In real life you can look up every holiday years in advance. The just don't magically appear a few days in advance on your calendar. It is just bad design.

That scarecrow in the trailer looks cool. I may tolerate a holiday or two just to see it in action.

@Playalot There is several "Father Winter" type NPCs in this game alone, There is "Flower Bunny", a scarecrow whose name I name I don't know and a giant Gnome whose name I don't know, at the  least. This if popular may bleed into other areas of the game as you said. But we are getting at least four unique holiday special NPCs this expansion.

Now there will be 6 new reward traits: Cold Acclimation, Heat Acclimation, Water Proof, Storm Chaser, Iceproof, and Heatproof. This is displayed in the trailer. I am really interested in storm chaser it sounds fun.

I was actually referring to burglars and firefighters as the simming community in general have been asking for those since launch. Sorry, I didn't mean to be cryptic.
Also I'm not 100% sure that those other 'special sims' are enduring NPC's instead I think they are just the regular townie game generated sims as we have seen in the past i.e. Tragic Clown.


Re: new reward traits, there may be more, those are the only ones we know about presently. (Just for the sake of keeping the info correct and clear.) We can update your list as soon as we know more.

@Playalot there is solid evidence that at least "Flower Bunny" and the scarecrow being holiday related special NPCs just like "Father Winter". And some evidence for the gnome as well though not as strong. I know some of there post are relinks but showing where I got that they are like "Father Winter". There are more I just don't have time to look them up. The last trailer has them as well.

And likely like father winter these special holiday sims will lose there holiday jobs if they join a household and will likely be replaced with a new one. So they can be down graded to normal sims.

But as for firefighters and burglars we can only hope they come to the game someday. Especially the burglar which added a fun random element. But the Flower Bunny and scarecrow at least are very likely in the same class of NPC as Father Winter, holiday triggered NPCs you can interact with but quit being special if they move in. The giant evil gnome we have very little detail on.

tbh there's so many different sources for interesting thoughts and tidbits it's literally impossible to even summarize it all. If you hang out on ModTheSims you might have seen the screenshot of the new scouting awards sims get for completing certain chores/activities and so on.

Thing is... Seasons is releasing soon and I think there is enough info out there for someone to know whether or not they want to play it/buy it. I'm in the basket of we know the broad details both of what the pack brings and the free update (glass roof that pretty much function like existing roofs, gardening overhaul - plants have a flowering/growing/hibernating cycle) so everything else either is a spoiler at this point or just kinda hype and/or speculation.

Early release for Game Changers and/or influencers is soon so Carl will be able to update his Guide then too, because, of course, only official and confirmed information can go there.

Scouts are coming! I am sold now I know they aren't a rabbit hole. I have so many found memories as a boy scout. I even earned my Eagle. Now it can be part of my sim game! I was going to get seasons for completeness sake and a few gizmos but now it is a must have. I am sold.

Can't link to info do to it not being an official link from a sim guru but there are loads of photos from multiple sources. Also confirmation from those at EA play. Scouting is a thing and I am excited. Excited enough to look past surprise holidays and other annoyances.

I wonder why the gurus haven't posted more about this? There is way to many reports form way to many people for it not to be in there but very little form the official sources. If this has to be pulled do to lack of official sources I understand but there is tons of evidence of scouting coming to seasons.

Cool didn't notice that. I generally don't reread posts. I will refer people to that link in the future. No need for redundancy in links. I will still search through this thread though. By reading up on this pack it went from a buy for completeness sake to a must buy. Sadly finances are keeping me from buying it at launch but I really want this pack now. Is it bad that I am so hyped I am now trying to spread that hype?
