Question about curing vamps

If you cure a vamp that's gained some ranks and powers, but then have them become a vamp again, would they keep their powers and rank, or do they start over from square one?

My sim has a vamp that's cured then turned Vlad again and he regained his Master Vampire rank.
That same sim of mine got turned twice, though, and he retained neither his previous vampire rank or any of his vampire powers.
That's just my experience. I wonder if it depends on how long a vampire spends at a given rank...

I see. Or maybe it's cuz Vlad is pre-made?

Any vampire keeps their accomplishments even if cured. If they become a vampire again, they're back to where they were. Premade or not

My sim has drank the ultimate vampire cure twice and is still a vampire. How do I get the sim to turn back into a human?

@Equ3strianLuv3r  you could use the cheat: traits.remove_trait trait_OccultVampire which will instantly turn any vamp into a normal sim.

So: testingcheats on
followed by: traits.remove_trait trait_OccultVampire

Thanks for the cheat advice. I decided to try the cure one more time and it worked. I was short on plasma fruit so I purchased seeds from the computer. That’s the only thing I did differently this time.
