Another Sharebear Legacy
« on: April 21, 2018, 05:38:47 PM »

Another Sharebear legacy, I liked the thought of it so I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon.  This is Aspen Sharebear, and we'll see how this goes!  Unsure if I'm going to do official scoring or not, but I'll keep track for now.  I only have the base game as well, so nothing fancy here for me!  Unless someone wants to donate, lol...

Woohoo! Welcome to the Sharebear fam! Look how punk rock she is! (I can see the pic on Tapatalk, but not on my browser. Ah, the glorious mysteries of technology!)
I’m so happy you’ve started this and I’m so excited to see where you take it!

Thanks for all the great comments!  I'm excited to try this and to actually get through all 10 generations, usually I give up before then.

So here's my first question:  How many kids should she have?

Welcome to the Sharebears! It's great meeting a Sharebear who looks so different from the others. :D

As for how many children your founder should have, that's up to your founder, her partner, and you.
I imagine you've read through the other Sharebear legacies.
Everyone's founder so far has had two or three kids, I believe.

Best wishes on playing up to your tenth heir! You can do it!
There's one real incentive to starting a legacy with others.
When one's enthusiasm starts flagging, we can read another Sharebear's story and that will motivate us to play our own.
That's how it seems to be working for some of us.

Looking forward to hearing about how Aspen starts out.

<3 Much love to you!

I rolled a die and it came out to 4, so Aspen is going to have 4 children.  Already she's at 3, so let's see what she's up to, yes?

<not the best storyteller

-----------------------------

Aspen has her original traits of Genius, Loves the Outdoors, and Family Oriented, along with her Curator aspiration.  She doesn't seem to be much of a hands on kind of woman though, especially since every single frog slipped through her hands.  She's not pleased with herself at least, and so she moved on to something a little more physical.

Though she chipped a few nails doing it, she realized she didn't care as much as she thought she might and took to finding ore and crystals with gusto.  She takes advantage of every node she can find, and yes, she does manage to catch a few frogs in the old logs sitting around town.  There's no complete collection yet, but she's going to try the best she can!

Aspen quickly met Nicholas Ibarra at the park and invited him to her home.  She had invited a potential other spouse to live with her, and when she found out he had amazing traits but not the best aspiration to go along with them, she moved him in with Nick's daughter and moved Nick in with herself.

See those eyes?  Who could resist such things?  Apparently not Nick, because they were married a short time after he moved in.  Theirs was a whirlwind romance, and she didn't even mind that he had a daughter with someone else, someone who didn't exist in their life anymore.

After getting married pretty quickly, Aspen soon became pregnant (wedding night anyone?) and ran off to tell Nick he was going to be a father again.  See how excited she was about it all?

Aspen joined the Athletic career and Nick joined the Painter career.  His paintings soon became a staple item in any home, and the local fans were used to seeing Aspen running around the field with water, as a mascot, and then a dancer.  She tried to keep as fit as she could be while she was pregnant, and managed not to put on much baby weight, but she still gained a little bit when the time came, it seemed.

Soon after, Liberty Sharebears was born, a cranky little baby to be honest, and it didn't get much better as she aged.

Irritated by the fact that she needed glasses at such a young age, and being a bit of a bright one at that, Liberty grew up to be a Fussy toddler, demanding everything and making life miserable for her parents.  It was quickly decided they needed to have another, if only to make sure that things weren't going to stay the way they were right now.  Liberty managed to make life difficult and hated the sibling she soon had.

Calvin was a sweet, Angelic little boy who did everything his parents asked of him and then some, being the model child.  If only things hadn't turned out the way they had, he would have been the last of the Sharebears for this generation.  As it is, everything has some fault to it and along came Jayden.  Calvin adores both of his sisters and noticed his mother seemed a bit... swollen... again...

Hey, don't say you're not the best storyteller. You're doing great! :D

Whoa, you rolled the number of kids your founder will have. How brave of you!
Will you be randomizing all decisions like @simfulicious is doing? Very bold of you both!
I can't help but ask, when you rolled what was your range? 1 kid up to how many kids? I'm dying of curiosity, lol.

Haha, nooboos wearing sunglasses when they age up must be a new thing. One of my sims had two kids very recently who both aged up wearing shades.
Wow, Fussy and Angelic! Angelic Calvin is like Aspen's  reward for putting up with Fussy Liberty!

Looking forward to meeting Jayden and the fourth child!

Oh, man! I love the spouse-child swappage going on! That is some solid strategizing right there! And excellent cherry-picking of traits and aspirations. Amber knows what's what!
I love Liberty and her giant glasses. Her facial expression matches your description of her perfectly.
Four kids, though? Yikes! Hope Liberty gets used to the idea of siblings! :)
