Who named the Sims?

Hello!

I was curious since I have been playing the sims 3 for so long now, I am curious as to how the pre-made sims got their names?

ex: crumplebottom, darer etc

I'm not sure on this information, so I searched on it and found a few links that you might be interested in.

If you want to know more about a specific Sim, all you need to do is search Sims 3 and their name.

It'll be the developers, though we won't be able to tell you which specific developers. Some of the names are based on puns (e.g. Juan Darer = Wanderer, Gobias Koffi = Go buy us coffee), some are from earlier incarnations of The Sims (e.g. Agnes Crumplebottom was in TS1: Hot Date, TS2/Nightlife, and of course TS3, Morty Goth was in TS1, TS2, TS3), and some names just sound cool (e.g. Morrigan Hemlock)

thanks seabody! I thought so also, so sometimes I give my sims names like that too, like paige turner and London bridges lol. I give them names from real people also like my kids or hubby's name or even my simself. that' what got me thinking who named these little ones.

What I like to do is pick a theme and name my sims after that theme. My current one is sugar, lol.  They're all named for different varieties of sugar and sugar substitutes, lol. Of course, the last name is Sugar, lol
