Vampire Rivalry: Knowledge vs. Nature vs. Popularity (Einstein week 1 Final)

Hey folks, this is a rival dynasty challenge I'll be doing alongside my Hecking dynasty. 3 young vampires have moved into the developing city of Newcrest. While they all have the same bloodline option, vampire, they are distinguished by their aspirations.
The power hungry intellectuals of the Einstein family must complete the Master Vampire aspiration and an additional knowledge aspiration.
The family-oriented and nature loving Moonshines must complete the Vampire Family aspiration and a nature aspiration.
And lastly, the kind and outgoing Goodfangs must complete the Good Vampire aspiration and an additional popularity aspiration.

Here's a brief rundown of my lot setup. I had to be a lot more picky with what lots I placed since Newcrest was off limits. The fact that there was no point in placing any residential lots did narrow my choices down a bit. To start, I could only pick 3 40x30s to place. I chose Enchanted Springs, the Lost Gardens of Healing, and Suspended Modern. Enchanted Springs went to OS, LGH went to WB, and SM went to BB. I filled BB's 3 30x20s with Seaside Stories, Chez Llama, and the Perfect Balance Spa. I placed a second restaurant, L'Attente Bistro, which I like for having 2 chef stations, in Magnolia Promenade. In FH I placed The Muckery because I liked the idea of a vampire neighborhood having a nightclub. The rest of the empty lots got filled with the usual: Creekside Smooth, Cadenza Lounge, and Picnic Spot in WC, Dust Bowl and Desert Muse in OS, and Mimsy's in WB.

Now, time to introduce you to my founders. Each one will get her own post that I will later add to with info on the heirs and stuff. Please don't post until I have all 3 up, thanks. In the meantime, here's a link to the doc I'll be using to track points and stuff:

Meet Anna Einstein. Her traits are Ambitious, Geek, and Genius. She has come to Newcrest in order to grow a large, powerful vampire dynasty that controls the city, and follow her own intellectual pursuits. Maybe make sure her favorite TV shows stay on air for all eternity while she's at it. She has taken up a job in the medical field in order to learn many things in that field and to ensure her prey stays healthy, since healthy plasma tastes the best.

Meet Lily Moonshine. Her traits are Loves the Outdoors, Family-Oriented, and Cheerful, and her aspiration is freelance botanist. She has come to Newcrest in order to pursue her dream of growing a large plasma fruit farm. She prefers plasma fruit products to drinking from humans, because why go out of the way for a snack when you can grow your own at home? Not to mention she also thinks being a vampire is just the bee's knees, what with eternal life and all, and hopes to share this gift with as many people as she can, and since vampires can't drink from other vamps clearly plasma fruit is the way to go since everyone should be a vamp! The sunlight weakness does suck quite a bit, especially since it limits the time she can spend outside, but if she improves her powers enough she'll be able to become immune to it, and she longs for that day to come. She took up a job in the science career since the lab has its own garden and plenty of outdoor space.

Finally, meet Gina Goodfang. Her traits are Romantic, Good, and Outgoing, and her aspiration is Good Vampire. While a hedonistic party girl, she also has a strong sense of justice which led her to join the police force. She thinks drinking from humans without permission is wrong and tries to find alternative means to fulfill her thirst. She came to Newcrest hoping to make sure the developing city turns out well and hopefully meet the girl of her dreams. She thinks her dark form is hideous and seldom shows it, especially not in public.

Oh which 2? To be honest I love active careers, and I thought it thematically fitting I give each of my founders one of the 3 GTW jobs. I do prefer the CL jobs though, I'll admit.

I avoid Detective and Doctor because they require joining the sim on every workday to work toward promotions.

I love joining them. Even in a multi-Sim household, I can just play them at work long enough to max their performance for the day and then focus on everyone else, which usually doesn't take too long, especially for vamps since bat form is a fast method of travel that can be acquired very early.

Agreed. I'll be controlling Lily 1st since with her vamp aspiration her family line will basically be in charge of turning the wives of all 3 lines. Not to mention the vamp aspirations for Gina and Anna's lines do have milestones that require being a vamp for a certain amount of time, while Lily's doesn't, so she doesn't mind the loss of 9 or so sim hours that being the first family played does for her. I do already have wives in mind for Gina and Anna, though not Lily herself yet. I may end up marrying Lily to a cute townie girl should one spawn early, I dunno. I'm not actually starting this challenge until I finish the 1st week of my Hecking dynasty, which will hopefully be later today. I plan on doing things in a schedule of Hecking dynasty for one sim week, then the three bloodlines in this dynasty for one sim week each, then back to the Heckings for a sim week, etc.

Moonshine - Week 1 Part One

Upon moving into Optimist's Outlook, the 1st thing Lily did was carve out a giant crypt so she could hide from the sun, loathe as she was to do that, she kinda had to until she became powerful enough to become immune to sunlight.

It was entirely empty at the moment, though really she wasn't too concerned with interior decor, as she'd rather focus on having a beautiful outdoor garden, so she took a selfie in both normal and dark form and placed both photos on the wall for decor. They were low quality, but she could always take better ones later. She'd be sure to add portraits of future family members as they joined.

This lot was going to be great for gardening, as it was very homey and had great soil. She made sure to register it with The League as well so as to enjoy the benefits of being a member. As much as she'd love to focus on her garden right away, it was too sunny out to do that yet, so she instead decided to focus on her goal of having a large 'vamp fam'. She chose her first power, bat form, to allow for quick travel.

She'd need to work on getting to the next rank in order to be able to turn people, so she went to the library in Willow Creek to research vampirism on the computer to level her rank. Buying a decent PC of her own wasn't feasible yet, as she only had about 8,000 simoleons at the moment.

After a quick research session, she moved on to meditating. Her energy wasn't really low enough to need it yet, but it was one of the few ranking methods she had at the moment, given she only had 1 power so far. After her energy was up, it was back to research on the computer. This quickly became boring, however, and she began to look for a better method.

At this point she can afford detect personality, a cheap and spammable power. She begins using it on Yuki Behr, a geeky loner.

After spamming it on her a few times, her energy gets kinda low, and she's not quite ready for another meditation session yet, so in the meantime, she decides to chat up the geeky teen. Perhaps she'd be interested in the gift?

(Side note: Whenever playing a vamp with the vampire family aspiration, Yuki is almost always the first sim I turn, since she's implied to possibly be a vamp in her home series.)

After a pleasant chat, it's back to meditating. After the session was over, she got a call from Vlad, who gave her some plasma packs. They should help tide her over until her garden is up and running.

Having heard he is a wise and powerful vampire, she decides to visit his mansion in hopes of getting training from him.

But first, may as well detect his personality. It sadly doesn't work, perhaps due to his high power.

He's thankfully willing to train her.

The session leaves her incredibly low on energy, and she can't meditate again yet, so she takes a nap. She then meditates again, which gets her energy to manageable levels. She also notices a distinct lack of bookcases in Vlad's house, which seems odd since you'd think a high ranking vamp like him would have a few tomes.

So it was back to WCA for more vamp research. She finally hit rank 2 by doing this. She decided to take the guilty drinker weakness in addition to the vampire creation power because she preferred plasma fruit recipes anyway. With that done it was time to begin giving others The Gift.

She went over to Yuki's and began chatting her up, wanting to build a rapport before turning her.

Then its another nap and some meditation so she can get her energy up to a level that she can turn Yuki at.

Yuki accepts The Gift.

At this point it is sufficiently late enough to go outside, so Lily heads down to the nightclub in FH in hopes of harvesting the plants in the area, but as they aren't quite ready for harvest yet, she decides to chat up Yuki's sister Candy in the meantime in hopes of turning her next.

She too accepts. This leaves Lily pretty drained, so she meditates.

Once done, she manages to meet another vamp! The hair and outfit are a bit silly, but those can be fixed, and she's decent looking otherwise, so definitely a strong wife candidate!

Lily is in need of a bit of fun at this point, so she decides to hit the dance floor.

She's a bit thirsty, so she drinks a plasma pack.

There were still no harvestables ready at 5 am, so Lily decided not to worry about them for now, and instead she decided to hang out with Yuki at her place.

She managed to become quite good friends with the teen, and even learned it was her birthday! Upon hearing this Lily decided to take Yuki and Candy to Chez Llama to celebrate. After getting to know Yuki a bit more, Lily learned that adulthood had made her become a bit materialistic.

Lily then went home to get a bit of meditation in before work.

Lily helps herself to the lab's snapdragon and strawberries. She'll need them if she is to cultivate her dream garden.

With that done, she begins working on her tasks, starting by using the microscope.

Followed by brainstorming on the invention constructor. She then takes a thoughtful shower since she's become a bit dirty. This inspired her to come up with the momentum conserver.

She got to inventing it immediately. After which she was thirsty, so she drank the last of her plasma packs.

The she did some chemistry experiments. At this point her work performance was already maxed.

After doing some more sciencey stuff, Lily decides to introduce herself to coworker Moira Fyres, who also loves gardening! She ends the workday having done a fantastic job.

She heads back to the FH nightclub after work, taking the vamp she met, Saya Nakamura, with her.

After a meditation session, Lily begins chatting her up.

She gets a plasma jane at the bar to quench her thirst. This made her have her 2nd breakthrough. Vlad gave her another call not long after, telling her about vamp energy.

Candy gave Lily permission to drink from her, which was nice since drinking from sims fills thirst much more than other methods. This got her 2 more perk points, though she only spent 1 of them, on occult student.

Then Lily danced and chatted with Saya. The became friends at this point.

Soon they even begin flirting!

And had their first kiss!

Lily and Saya then end up woohooing in the closet! They became gfs afterwards.

And celebrate with a passionate kiss. Sadly Saya then left. She then turned Moira but I kinda brainfarted and forgot to take a screenie of it.

She then headed home, taking her gf with her, and she began making her garden. Sadly she could not finish watering her garden because the sun drained her energy to near fatal levels, and it seemed like it was about to kill her girlfriend, so she quickly went back to the nightclub for some shade and a nap. And that's where I'll end it today.
