...

"We made it!" I said as I placed the last box on the living room floor.

"Now the real fun starts." Sarah huffed.

"I vote Simon does all the unpacking!" Jasper joked.

"Very funny."

We spent the entire night unpacking and arranging the house the way we want it. With a little hard work though we were able to pull it off and we were officially moved in. Sarah was on the phone with Aunt Aria telling her about the new place and how things were going.

"Our first home." Jasper said standing next to me.

"I'm excited and nervous all at once." I said.

"It'll be okay."

I smiled and kissed him.

He was my rock and with him by my side we could do anything.

We were young adults now, and barely young adults at that.

"So how much money do we have?" Sarah asked as she made mac and cheese for us.

"Well, we will all probably have to get jobs." I sighed.

"We need a laundry room Simon."

"I understand that but we don't have room in the house for that."

"Then we need to build one."

I sighed.

"She's right Simon." Jasper told me.

So, despite not having a lot of money we built a laundry room that turned out really nicely.

...

"So jobs, what did we apply for?" I asked.

"Well, the closest thing to music that I found was an entertainer job so I applied to that." Jasper told me.

"And I applied to be Critic, I'm not sure what I want to do with my life but that offered a good amount of money." Sarah said.

"Nice, I found a job in business since that's what interests me the most." I told them.

"So we all have jobs, that is a good start." Sarah said.

We all officially got the hiring notice a couple days after which was good because after the laundry room we had about $300 to our names.

"I'm going to miss you when we have to be at work." I told Jasper.

"I'll miss you too, it's going to be weird having to be the one to go to work."

"I know, but it could be fun."

I was nervous about my first day at work because it was different then going to school. At work if you did a bad job they could fire you without warning where as at school you had room for improvement. We had a few days off still to adjust to the new house before we had to worry about going to work.

"What are you up too?" Sarah asked as she sat down next to me on the couch.

"Just watching TV while Jasper plays his video game.

"Shush." Jasper said.

"Thanks for letting me come live with you guys, I know you probably wanted some alone time." Sarah said resting her head on my shoulder.

"Of course. Don't even thing about it." Jasper told her.

"We should get a puppy." She said out of no where.

"A puppy?" I asked.

"Yeah."

"I don't know, we all are going to have jobs."

"We can do it."

"We'll see." I told her.

But knowing my sister she went out the next day and came home with a puppy.

"You got a puppy?!" I asked as she walked through the door.

"Maybe."

"What kind?!" Jasper squealed.

"A Great Dane."

"A Great Dane?! Those things are huge!!"

"I know!" She said happily.

I had to admit, he was kind of adorable for how big he was going to get.

"I named him Oscar." She told us.

"Hello Oscar!" Jasper gushed.

So that was it, this was our life just beginning and I was a bundle of emotions. However, I had a feeling that somehow we would make it all work.

Welcome back! This is just the introduction which is why it is kind of short! How freaking cute is Sarah? Figured I'd bring back the yellow coordinated outfit that she had as a child because the hairdo is adorable! I hope you guys enjoyed Life is Perfect and I hope that you enjoy this one just as well! =]

"Look at you! Oscar!" Sarah said holding Oscar in the air.

"You are crazy." I told her.

Jasper laughed.

"I am not! Tell them Oscar! Yeah! Tell them!"

WOOF!

My sister was insane, but I wouldn't trade her for the world.

"Dinner is ready!" Sarah announced later that night.

Jasper and I walked over from the living room. Ever since we moved in we made it a rule to always eat together when we could. The exception of course was if one or all of us were working that night. We all sat down and ate our own meals of our choice. Sarah decided to always try to have at least two meals ready to go so we could have a little bit of variety. We were all still in the excited "holy crap we are on our own and have our own house" stage of everything.

"So, how was everyone's day? Simon, you had your first day at work how was it?" She asked.

"It was actually pretty fun! Liz, the manager, showed me around and introduced me to the people who were working. I have my own desk and everything!" I told her.

"That sounds fun!"

...

I walked into the laundry room with Jasper to find Sarah on her hands an knees.

"What in the world are you doing?" I asked.

"Well, I wanted to try out this bucket with the manual washing thing." She said.

"But we have washers." I told her.

"I know, but I thought that it would be fun to try at least once."

Fun was not the word that she ended up using after she was finished. She was absolutely soaked by the end of it not to mention the floor was covered in water. She handed me the wet clothes to hang on the clothes line while Jasper and Sarah worked on moping up all the water.

"So maybe the washing machine is the best option." She said as I walked back in.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure back in the old days they probably did that outside." I told her.

"Oscar you are so small, you barely can get into your food dish." I said as I walked in the kitchen.

He had his little paws on the brim of his food dish and he was chowing down on his puppy chow.

"So I'm working with this other newbie right? Well he not only decides to break the sound system by spilling water all over it but he then threw up on the bosses shoes!" Jasper said.

"Are you kidding me?!" I laughed.

"I am being serious!"

"That's pretty funny."

"Where is Oscar?" Jasper asked.

"Last time I checked he was in his bed."

"The bed that is literally five times bigger than he is?"

"That's the one."

So we all had our first days underneath our belts. Sarah's was not as eventful as ours sadly but it went okay.

First chapter up! =D

Sarah's POV

So we have news!

Oscar grew up from his small little puppy to a huge dog! Not as huge as we though he would be but still pretty big!

We had a little extra money so we bought him a few more new toys and he seemed to love them.

"Please don't destroy those too fast." I told him.

He gave me a small bark before going back to chew on the tennis ball.

His new hobby has also been playing fetch, he constantly wants to go outside and fetch the ball and we joked that we should set up a tent and just live outside.

"Go get it!" I called.

WOOF!

He ran and found the ball and quickly brought it back to me and prepared for the next throw.

"Can we go inside for a bit?"

WOOF!

The look on his face said no.

I sighed.

...

"Do you have to go to work? Aunt Aria said that she might try to stop by later." I told Simon.

"Sadly I cannot call in sick, we have a big project due today, one that could possibly lead to a promotion!"

"Wow! That's awesome!"

"Hopefully she will be here when I get back home."

I gave him a quick hug and he was off to work. Jasper was also getting ready for work so unfortunately I would be all alone at the house for a bit until Aunt Aria got here. That would give me a chance to catch up on some house work of my own and laundry.

Ding dong!

I looked at the door before going to answer it.

"Aunt Aria!"

"Hello dear!" She said.

She gave me a hug.

"So, this is the place!" She said.

"It is! Come in!"

I stepped to the side and let her walk through. I gave her a quick tour of the house because it was a small house and I couldn't drag it out even if I tried. I showed her the laundry room and she was jealous that we had an outside laundry house with a clothesline right next to it. It was a hassle at the old home having to drag wet clothes all the way upstairs, through the house, and out in the backyard.

"The house looks amazing dear."

"Thank you so much."

"Simon should be home soon, he may be getting a promotion!"

"That's fast! He must be working really hard."

"We all have been, who knew being an adult was so hard!" I laughed.

She laughed as Simon pulled up.

"There he is!"

And he must have gotten the promotion because he was dressed in a suit! He looked really cute but don't tell him I said that he would kill me.

"Don't you look sharp!" Aunt Aria said giving him a hug.

"Thank you, it's nice to see you."

"I missed you all. Send Jasper my love."

"Of course. How are things at the house?"

"Quiet, but it's a nice change."

"Did Sarah show you around? It's not much but we are proud of it."

"And you should be! It is so cute and small!"

We talked for a few hours but then she got tired and headed home. It was nice seeing her because we may not have her around for much longer and we needed to cherish the time we had with her. She was the last of the family we had besides of the three of us.

...

"You're getting so big!"

Oscar just looked at me.

"What?"

He tilted his head.

"You are my big boy!"

"You look like one of those old time house wives." Simon laughed.

"Shut up." I told him.

He was carrying more laundry in the the house.

"I'll make supper soon." I told him.

"Don't worry about it tonight, Jasper is bringing home pizza!"

"I like pizza, pizza works."

"Oscar! STOP! Stop drinking from the toilet!" I screamed.

He dug his wet nose out and ran into my room.

"Darn dog needs to listen to me."

I sat on the other couch and settled in with my blanket and popcorn. Simon and Jasper were cuddling and being all cute on the other couch and we were going to watch a scary movie.

"Are we seriously going to do this?" I asked.

"You'll be fine!" Jasper said.

I groaned.

At least we had Oscar to stand at the door and protect us, something he's been doing a lot lately.

Happy Birthday Oscar! =D

Jasper's POV

"Babe, can you bathe Oscar?" I asked.

"Again?!" He asked.

"Yeah, he's all covered in mud."

Oscar loved his play time, but even more he loved his baths. Especially the part where he got to splash water all over us when drying off.

Sarah came home and threw her things down and groaned.

"What?" I asked.

"Apparently I was suppose to work on my writing skill and no one mentioned that." She plopped down on the couch.

"So what does the mean?"

"Well, I just have to work on it. I was wondering why I hadn't gotten a promotion yet."

"You will."

"Thanks Jasper."

Simon's POV

I watched as Jasper and Sarah on the couch laughing at each others jokes. I tried not to let it bother me but it's been happening for the past month. I would walk in the room and they would stop talking and then talk about another topic all together and you could feel the tension in the air. I was being silly, wasn't I?

"What's going on with you? You were quiet at dinner." Jasper said to me.

We were getting the bed ready to sleep.

"I'm fine." I said.

"Simon, that is crap. What is wrong?" He asked.

"Are you attracted to my sister?" I blurted out.

"What?!"

"You heard me, do you like my sister?"

"That's absurd!" He screamed.

"Is it?! Because you guys make it completely obvious as you walk around the house and flirt!"

"Simon, where is this coming from?!"

"The fact that you guys just stop talking when I come in the room and then fake another conversation until I leave and then it is all laughs and jokes! I feel us growing apart and I hate it!"

"It's a two way street Simon! I haven't felt that loved lately!"

"So you are turning to my sister for that?!"

"Simon stop! There is nothing going on!" He screamed at me.

"Whatever. Let's just go to bed." I snapped.

...

Sarah's POV

I could hear Simon and Jasper screaming through the walls and it was upsetting Oscar, and the obvious topic of me was kind of upsetting myself. So I decided that maybe a walk around the block with Oscar would be best. Simon and Jasper never fought at all so this was a first.

Once we were back at home they both were sleeping or I assumed they were because it was quiet in their room. I brushed Oscar and headed to bed myself.

Simon's POV

I was sitting on the couch watching TV when Jasper walked over. We hadn't said a word all morning to each other and I was nervous for the first interaction. He sat down next to me and took a deep breath before looking at me. He didn't say a word before kissing me.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you too."

He looked in my eyes.

"I wanted to wait to do this, but let's go outside."

"What?"

"Just follow me."

We got up and I held hands with him as he led me outside to the side of the house.

"What are we doing?" I asked.

I gasped as he dropped to one knee.

"Jasper!" I covered my mouth.

"I love you, and I don't want you thinking anything otherwise. There is no one on this planet that is going to steal me away from you and I promise that I will dedicate my time and patience to you and only you. With you by my side I know we can conquer anything, so will you please do me the honor of being my husband and marrying me?"

"Of course I will!"

He slid the ring on my finger and I kissed him.

"Let's do it tonight." He said.

"Excuse me?"

"I don't want to wait any longer." He said.

"I haven't told Sarah, and we don't really have anything picked out." I told him.

"We'll figure it out as we go. Go tell Sarah and we will figure the rest out."

I was so nervous as I ran inside and found Sarah in the kitchen.

"SARAH!"

"What?!"

"I'm getting married!"

"WHAT?!"

"Jasper asked me to marry him!"

"Oh my god! That's great! Congratulations!"

She hugged me.

"Okay, go pick an outfit and meet us out back!"

"What?" She asked.

"We're doing it now!"

"What do- Simon this is insane and exciting!"

I was becoming someone's husband. For a second I thought maybe this was all going too fast, but is it really too fast when you've known the person so long? I've known him since high school and I know I don't want to be with anyone else. I was in the room getting dressed in a nice sweater since I didn't have a suit, Jasper was fine with it being not so fancy. It was just his style. So we all met in the backyard where Sarah stood in her yellow dress, and even Oscar was there as well.

It was a peaceful ceremony and a beautiful night. The town was quiet and the moon was bright and I swear I was shaking because I was so nervous and excited. We exchanged our vows even though we were both a slobbery mess. We sealed it with a kiss and just like that we were married.

I was someone's husband.

So funny story, Jasper and Sarah are trying to start something. I've noticed them both being flirty with each other and I was like "STOP THAT" Darn kids! Hopefully this chapter didn't feel rushed! Was going for the more exciting vibe!

"HELP!"

"What was that?" I asked Jasper.

"HELP! HELP ME!"

"It sounds like Sarah!"

I was the first one up as I ran in the back with Jasper following me.

"Oh my god! SARAH!"

I grabbed the fire extinguisher and hurried to try to put the flames out.

"Simon!" She cried.

Oscar came running in and started to bark in panic.

"Oscar it's okay!"

"Should I call 911?" Jasper said.

I heard him but I was so focused on getting the flames out and saving Sarah. I couldn't lose her and not in this way. Our grandmother died from a fire from the washer and I was not about to lose my sister to it as well. After a few minutes the flames were out and Sarah was okay, her worst problem was that she was covered in all this black stuff and ash. Nothing that a nice shower couldn't fix.

Jasper has been working on his handiness around the house which came in handy (no pun intended) when things broke around the house. He also managed to upgrade the washing machine that caught fire so that it wouldn't do that anymore and he was going to work on getting the other one as well as the dryers getting upgraded as well.

"How was your day?" I asked standing in the doorway of the bathroom.

"It was fine." He said.

He was fixing the bathroom sink again.

"That's good."

I hoped that the wedding would have helped, but I still felt the tension between us.

"Are we fine?" I asked.

"Yeah, everything is fine." He told me.

"Okay."

...

We had changed the backyard a bit and added a door leading closer to the laundry hut in our bedroom. Once we had enough money we wanted to add a patio with a grill area there as well.

I also bought Jasper a guitar as a wedding gift. He loved it and also needed it for work so it worked both ways.

We also forgot to mention that Aunt Aria had passed shortly before the wedding. It was quick and painless because she passed away during her sleep of natural causes. It was a little easier this time since we knew it was coming and we didn't experience it directly. It may sound weird but not seeing it happen helps, at least for me it did. We were sad and we missed her terribly but she was with mom now and I know they are still with us.

I sat down at the table after work and Sarah had just gotten up for her shift of work.

"Hi." She said.

"Hello."

"So, what's going on between you and Jasper?" She asked.

"Nothing."

"Simon, that is crap and you know it."

"Look, we are figuring it out."

"What is it?" She asked.

I sighed.

"I'm not going to stop."

"Fine. It seems to me like you guys are getting closer, a little too close."

"What does that mean?"

"I don't know, the way you two talk to each other it's almost like you are flirting."

"What?!"

"Don't deny it. I've seen you two, the way you laugh and the way that the conversations drop when I walk in the room." I snapped.

"Simon."

"I just want it to stop okay. He's my husband, and I don't want to lose him."

She just kind of looked forward not knowing what to say.

...

"You talked to Sarah?!" Jasper came in the room screaming.

"What?"

"You talked to Sarah about the flirting?"

"So you admit it was flirting!"

"Do not twist my words Simon."

"Look, she pushed me to answer so I did."

He growled.

"What?!"

"You know what."

"Jasper. I don't know what is happening. I just don't want-"

"Save it Simon. I thought marrying you would stop this but clearly it hasn't."

I was shocked.

"So you just married me to stop this?"

"That's not what I said."

"What is happening to us Jasper?"

"I don't know. Maybe we did this too fast."

"WE?! YOU purposed to ME! YOU DID!"

"You're right," He said picking up his jacket. "Maybe that was the mistake."

"Jasper."

He just shook his head and walked out of the room and out of the house before slamming the door behind him.

I stood there in shock. Did he just leave me?

Bum, bum, bummmmmm

"He's not coming back." I said.

"He will come back." Sarah told me.

"He's staying at a co-workers house."

I know that she said that he would come back, but it's been two weeks with barely even talking to each other. The only talking we did do was him telling me what bills needed to be paid. Most of the days I was in this weird dream like state of going to work, coming home and going to bed. There were also times where Sarah had to force me to drink or eat something to keep my energy up. I didn't know what to believe. What if Jasper really did purpose because he wanted too and I made it into something different? Maybe I wasn't ready for a relationship right now even though the thought of him not in my life scares the crap out of me. I wanted him back and I wanted him to come back home but how was I suppose to do that when he denied all of my calls and ignores my text messages.

"I'm going to go take Oscar for a jog, how about you go clean up and get some work done?"

"Sure."

She got up and leashed Oscar.

"Come on Oscar!"

WOOF!

"Yeah!"

"Jasper, please answer me. We have to talk about this! We can't just continue to ignore it! Jasper. Answer the-"

It cut me off.

"Fine."

I threw the phone on the couch and went to make some food.

My phone buzzed, I walked over to it and picked it up.

What. -J
Are we going to talk? -S
About? -J
Seriously? -S
What is there to talk about? -J
Come home. -S
I miss you. -S

I stared at my phone waiting for a reply.

"Seriously?" I screamed.

"What?" Sarah asked walking back in.

"He texted me, and now he isn't replying."

"Give him time."

"HOW MUCH MORE TIME?!" I screamed.

"I don't know."

"Whatever, I'm going to bed."

Sarah's POV

I wish I could take Simon's pain away, I would give every organ in my body to heal his pain. But I couldn't and he would have to handle this on his own but I wish Jasper would just give him a chance. In the mean time though I picked up painting as not only a hobby but a way to make extra cash. It seemed like we made enough to pay the bills and then we scrambled to make sure we had enough for the next month's bills. We had to catch up somehow and get a head so I figured painting could be a fun way to do that.

I told Simon that he should join me and that it may help him in a way but he didn't ever take me up on that offer.

"PICK UP!"

I sighed.

He was going out of his mind. I was half tempted to barge down to Jasper's work and demand that he put his big boy pants on and come home. I was growing tired of seeing my brother in pain and not being able to fix it. I knew that wouldn't solve anything though it would just make things worse.

Oscar got a nice gift though because I was tired of seeing him have to lay down on the wood floor all the time.

Simon's POV

Come outside -J

My heart skipped a beat for a moment as I jumped up and raced through the living room only to slow down and act cool. I opened up the front door and walked out on the porch shutting the door behind me. Jasper was standing on the sidewalk with his hands in his pockets, I walked down the steps and stood in front of him.

"Hi." He said.

"Hi."

He took a deep breath.

"I married you because I love you, and not because I thought it would be an easy fix." He finally said.

"I know, I had a lot of time to think during this break and I realized that I over thought it."

"I wanted to come home sooner, but then I thought maybe if we took a step back and just took a breath maybe it would help."

"As much as I hated not having you hear and not talking to you I think that maybe you were right."

"As for the flirting part of all this, there is nothing going on between Sarah and I."

"Okay, I believe you."

He smiled a little.

"So does this mean you are home?"

"Yes. I'm going back to my co-workers house to get my things and then I will be home tonight."

"Can I kiss you?"

"You don't have to ask."

I gave him a kiss before he went to get his things. I watched him leave with little butterflies in my stomach and a sense of hope and relief. I skipped back inside and anxiously awaited Jasper to get home. I texted Sarah at work because she wouldn't be home until later and let her know that things were getting better. I'm sure this wasn't an easy fix and that we would still have to work at it but this was the first step. My husband was coming home. The first thing we did when he got home was go to bed, we were both pretty tired and also had a few things we needed to do in private. The morning scared me, because he wasn't in bed and I thought that maybe he was gone and that it was just a dream.

"Hey."

I jumped and turned around.

"You're really here." I whispered.

"Of course I am."

The household apparently wasn't as excited to have him home because the stove caught fire once he tried cooking.

"Seriously?!" He screamed.

Sarah knew the drill by now.

This house and it's appliances, more like this entire family line so far.

So Jasper was home and we were working on our issues. We didn't really have many more other then the whole flirting thing and only time would tell with that. I believed that he was serious though and that it would stop. I was just excited to see where the next chapter would bring us. Children maybe? Who knows...

I've never played around with adoption in Sims 4... Hmmmm.. I don't know, may be too soon in the story for children just yet. Also, I may regret this but aging is now off until I do decide when to have them adopt. We shall see.

Good grief. I'm glad they worked out their differences, but another fire? I've seen more fire extinguishers in your stories than in all the years I ran restaurants! I really think you created the unluckiest family in Sims history!  ;D ;D ;D

"So, I was talking to Cheryl at work." I told Jasper.

"Yeah?" He said.

"She is a foster parent and she may need someone to take in a foster child."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Well, the company that she is through needs it."

He looked at me and I waited for his response.

"What are you saying?" He asked.

"What do you think of adopting?" I asked.

He smiled a little.

"I see that smile."

"Don't you think it's too early?"

"No, we may only have been married for a short time but we've known each other for years. I want kids and I know that you do and what better time then now?"

Sarah walked in the room.

"Sarah, what do you think? Is it too early to think about kids?" I asked.

She squealed.

"I think we have an answer." Jasper giggled.

...

"That sounds good babe!" I said walking in from work.

"Thanks!"

He was practicing guitar.

"Some company bought one of my jingles I wrote!"

"That's awesome!"

He was getting better at it the more he practiced. He was officially in the music branch of his job and he deserved the promotion. We had to buy books on piano skill though because we didn't really have the room for a piano. I couldn't get the idea of adopting a child out of my head though, and I knew we live in a small house but I know that we could work it out. Maybe move in a slightly bigger one and take out a loan. I was ready to expand our family because we were halfway to adulthood and once you are in adulthood life doesn't stop but it speeds up.

"How is work for you Sarah?" I asked.

"It is going great! I have to practice though on my gourmet cooking."

"So lots of delicious food is what she is saying." Jasper said.

"Definitely." I said.

"You two will benefit from it yes."

Jasper and I gave each other a high five.

We were all pretty deep in promotions at work and our bosses liked us as well. We were doing fine on money but it could be better even though we were getting a head thanks to Sarah's hobby and selling artwork. It also helped that with every promotion each of us got a small bonus. We also all gained one vacation day with each one but we were saving those for emergencies because thankfully they were all paid as well.

"I'm going to walk Oscar." Sarah said.

Oscar was bouncing by the door.

"Let's go Oscar!"

...

"So are we being serious?" Jasper asked a few nights later.

"About?" I asked, running my hands through his black hair as he read a book in bed.

"Adopting a kid?"

"It could be fun." I said.

"Where are we going to put it?"

"Well, it will be a baby or a small child so they could stay in our room until we find another solution."

He looked up at me.

"Let's do it."

My heart leapt.

Things are happening! =D Short update but will hopefully have another one out tonight! I have an idea and I'm excited for it!
